That's... nice. No, I mean, being really busty is probably a core component of her character design and it's not like it's anywhere near the most cartoonish design in the game, even just looking at the human characters.

But there's no context in which revealing a characters canon cup size doesn't come off as awkward. I mean, yeah, you can have that sort of thing in your design documents but don't complain when people make fun of you for featuring it in promotional material.

It's not "wrong" it's just more "what are you doing with your life?"
If they were a real woman's boobs, that you knew and actually might stand a chance of forming a relationship with, then sure, but it doesn't actually exist.

Maybe the most it deserves is a brief "nice". It's just the level of attention that gets put into it that I think gets a lot of people. This is what you put attention and energy into? This!?! The non existent boobs of a completely fictional person?

I'm not angry, just think they would be better off putting their attention elsewhere. Just like me and this thread.

This is probably not coming across right because I'm rushing to write this before I go to work, but I genuinely think people would be doing themselves a favour if they put their effort and attention into something else.
Couldn’t we say the exact same thing for people shooting each other in Fortnite or CoD, watching gruesome horror movies, etc.? No, because that’s normal in our fucked up culture. I’m guilty as charged on either account (not with those particular games but I digress), but ironically enough I consider these peculiarities to be a healthy outlet *within reason* to take part in in one’s own home.

The rest, about chastising people for enjoying it when they could be *out there in the real world doing it with real people* is kinda beside the point. We’re certainly not going to say that about the guns and violence thing, but there’s also merit to someone not wanting to get involved in something that could lead to life changing circumstances that they’re not ready for. How many dysfunctional, abusive relationships and screwed up kids will it take for us to see we’re not on a good path? I don’t even want to get into how our food industry markets so much garbage to kids, or our medical industry uses bandaid drugs to “fix” them because the root cause is apparently a lost cause.

On a similar note, people also worry about Japan’s falling birth rate and porn consumption, but who can really blame them when in their inhabitable spaces they can’t throw a rock without hitting five people in any direction.

Yes, if you're putting that much of yourself into it.

Also, while I would advise going out and getting to know some real women, I wouldn't advise going out and shooting anyone or getting murdered.

Edit: Now I'm home and can reply properly, I had replied before you added the rest of your post first time round:

I agree, chastisement and ridicule is not helpful. That's why I I'm trying to advise rather than mock.

How are you going to learn to swim if you never get in the water for fear of drowning? Certainly, work on yourself to gain confidence until you feel ready, but at some point you are going to have to dip your toes in. Staring a picture of a swimming pool is not going to help.

Yes, I think we have a society that teaches people to be expendable cogs in the money making machine and not much else, but I don't think the answer to that is to shut yourself away and fixate on fictional boobs designed to profit from the kind of social isolation that our society breeds.

It's not about blame, that's kind of pointless. It's about recognising what's bad for you and what you can do to fix it for yourself.

There is a difference. As much as I dislike fortnite in Call of duty, those are just people playing online against each other and that's usually it. Certain toxic behaviors aside. The whole cup size thing really isn't relevant to the character or overall narrative within the game. It's this pointless tidbits to get somebody horny over nothing. People can do whatever they want in their spare time, but it's one of those situations where people are going to forget within the next month or two. Most people don't even care already and when the game comes out, all that's going to fall on deaf ears. Just like the idiots who are crying about her breast being "too small" when the Remake came out.

it's time to stop acting like it's odd to wanna look at a nice pair.
No, but it IS odd to make rant videos, thousand-word online screeds or even death threats because some make-believe woman's chest measurements went down. Man-children who feel threatened whenever a woman's existence isn't centered around pleasing them need to shut up and grow up.

Since the discussion has taken a less joking tone I'll put my two cents here on it.

First off the article that spawned this whole thing is fake @Chimpzy said that a few pages ago, it simply doesn't exist or doesn't exist anymore. That being said it does mark a trend in game journalism that always seems to want to paint gamers in a bad light. "We're" the problem, "we're" creeps, "we're" racist/homophobic/sexist etc etc etc. And we've seen in the past that a lot of these hit piece articles don't really track.

When Remake came out the only discourse was really about how perfect Tifa was, with a very few trolls mocking her for being "nerfed" however it was mostly taken as jest and nothing serious. While Tifa has always been infamous for her chest, she has never been depicted with a crazy chest in any other video game and nobody gave a shit. Because obviously her poligonal character design wasn't realistic nor did it really make any sense. So once she became a "real girl" in games like Disidia or even in movies like Advent Children, she was always showcased as a fit normal woman.

Admittedly Tifa in Remake has a bit more of a chest than she's ever had in later games or movies, but it's nothing outrageous either.

As for the bikini scene, you are seeing only one outfit out of three she has in Costa Del Sol, and you are also seeing her chest unrestricted by the confines of her tight sports tops. So it stands to reason she'd be...fluffyer than normal, as her girls are sort of free in that. And let's not pretend that swimsuits haven't been used in Japan media as fan servicey for years now. We even have a name of what to call these types of events and costumes "Fan service". There is nothing wrong with this stuff, it's harmless fun with characters that people love.

What's wrong with enjoying the view? Nothing. Media just wants people to feel bad for liking characters that are attractive or some shit now and it makes no sense. I'm glad Japan remains immune from Western social pressures and lessons in manners. Considering Japan's culture, I don't think they really need any lessons in etiquette from us.

Nothing, but as pointed out these people take it too far or you got man children mad when they don't get everything they want even when they got everything they exactly want it. The articles fake, but it only for other who's our point for those that believe it or are crying about it. Like we seen with that pathetic, self-hating, racist and sexist, loser Houseman.

Also, Japan has its own social pressures and issues that is just as bad or worse at times, so they ain't in the clear either. So let's not pretend it's some perfect Paradise no it's not as bad. The ignoring of bullying, the grope trains, treating those of half Japanese descent like crap socially, and even treating their own people like second class citizens if they leave Japan for more than a month or two (this has actually happened plenty of times and is real where the attackers or accusers shout "you are not Japanese or not Japanese anymore!") and how their court of law works where you're already assumed guilty until proven innocent. I like aspects of Japan and everything, but the grass ain't exactly greener on the other side. They got plenty of dumb and nonsensical shit too.

The the accusations of someone full blooded Japanese being called not japanese, because they left for a year or more is unfortunately true and I have the proof timestamped for those curious.

This very thread we're in right now pretty much validates claims that certain "gamers" ( hate the term ) could very well be "creeps".

A fake article pops up on the internet talking about how a character's breast size has increased and how her breast size was made smaller in the last game and you instantly have a thread popup with the opening poster going; See! They did make the breasts smaller! "We" were right! I just want to oggle boobs!

Nobody in the media was making "gamers" feel bad for their collective horniness over Lady Dimitrescu in Resident Evil 8, or Cammie in Street Fighter 6, or the entirety of Baldur's Gate 3. And that's because it wasn't mired in gate keeping over breasts not being big enough, a woman having too much muscle, a cannonically gay character kissing someone of the same gender in a trailer, or a perfectly attractive female character being made ugly on purpose. That's when it becomes a problem, when you're being a creep, and when you need to go outside and actually meet some real women.

Here is a look at her three outfit choices.

Howdy there! I'm Tifa Lockhart, look at my trucker hat! Anyway, from left to right:

1. Hate it. The frills make it look like a design for a 10 yo and don't like those vertical blue stripes. I guess they're supposed to echo the suspenders on default outfit, but they imo don't work here. Also, where color? You're at a tropical resort and you're trying to appeal to you man to be, so flaunt a little.
2. A bit better, but just kinda boring. Again, could use some color, or if you really want to run with that color scheme add some decoration, like maybe some restrained embroidery on the shirt or shorts. And accoutrements, like jewelry or maybe a Chocobo themed belt buckle.
3. That male gaze-y wet t-shirt. If you really want the bikini top to show through, maybe opt for an airy sheer blouse instead. Also translucent, but not as Hooters level trashy. Colors are basically those of her default look, but with yellow instead of red, which does provide a splash of color. And she remembered to accessorize. I also like that she keeps her hair loose. When you got dark tresses that long, you wanna show them off. Still not great, but overall the best out of the three.

By the way, the usual people are freaking out that Rogue's ass isn't as hot looking in the new X-Men cartoon trailer.

Yep, here we go again.

This is pretty much old news now. Funny enough, those same douchebags didn't cry about Evolution Rouge not having as a good nor well-defined ass like '94 Rouge. Where were you guys back then and now? Easy, up your own asses like usual.

She would look so much better if she was just in a good one piece. Could even be one of those sexy ones like this.
