Zendaya's acting is subpar, but she lucked out on the looks department if you ask me. Both her parents are ugly.

Hey, he's "just poiting it out", right? Nothing more. :cautious:
Chani is a warrior in a gritty, survivalistic culture, not a clothes horse. She should look like someone who's been wandering round in a desert for days, because that's what she does for a living.

Secondly, by Frank Herbert's own design, the Fremen are more than a little Middle Eastern. Their language is patently like Arabic, and I think if you follow the history were descended from Arabs. That would have been a genuinely challenging vision given the current geopolitical situation, to remain truer to the book and populate the Fremen with actual Middle Easterners. It hardly earns "woke" points to chicken out from that and make them various shades of darker-than-whitest-white that are more comfortable to the USA's sensibilities.

The newly elected MP for Rochdale, showcasing the extremely short pipeline between the conspiracy nutcase segment of the left and the conspiracy nutcase segment of the right.

So did Peterson buy his degree somewhere, or is he a self-proclaimed doctorate of just being a wangsty, whiny, bottom-biatch-fuck, asshole?
He seemed, at one point, to be a smart man who just held awful views. Then, rather than detox from his benzo addiction normally, he flew to Russia to be put into a medically induced coma (such procedures aren't legal in most Western countries for patient safety). He has never been the same mentally since returning from the treatment.

I think that's giving him too much credit.

My view is it's a been a long and steady descent since the early 2010s, and that unadvisable procedure was more a symptom than a cause. He strikes me as a mix of self-important and emotionally needy. He didn't find academia satisfying because it didn't get him enough attention, so he went for social media. When faced with substantial vituperation for some of his more objectionable views, like many, he just started doubling down more, and more, and more, chasing the heady rush of YouTube metrics and the dollars rolling in. The end result of this is to chase the lowest common denominator, and end up little more than a troll shorn of whatever intelligence and ideas were ever there.

Peterson was in his day genuinely a well-respected academic with a good record of scholarship (mostly I think in the subject of alcoholism). I think in the end he didn't feel that career made him feel important, admired and loved enough.

So a decent, okayish, guy that became a complete biatch, and then became a bigger biatch in a box stand. Sucks to be him.

Yeah, somebody can stop him in the nuts.

And how would Trump continue to be president if he were elected again, you can only be president for 2 terms. Also, Trump went through the legal means to contest the voting results; yes, in the most sleazy Trumpian way but still legal means (and he got laughed out of court). The democrats going after Trump for the Russian collusion that was a lie and getting him impeached was not trying to overthrow a democratically elected leader? And if Trump indeed did try a coup, he will not be able to run for president in this election.
That's simple. If Trump's term run out there are two things he can do. He can take inspiration from Putin in either case. Either Trump abolishes term limits and abuses his power to ensure he has the power to go do this, or when its time to leaves he abuses his power over the system to force another Republican to succeed him.

The Democrats impeaching Trump was not overthrowing anything. It was just the result of Trump's conduct catching up with him. And even if the Republicans had done their duty and removed him then he'd be succeeded by Pence, so the election of 2016 would still have been respected. Trump being removed for his crimes is not the same as Biden having been forcefully denied office just to keep Trump in power.

Also attempting to stay in power through a coup isn't really ''the legal way''.

Republicans are the opposite of most bad democratic policy as they usually are basically like "let's not do that".
Not really. What's bad about Democratic policy is that its pro corporate. Republican policies meanwhile are extremely pro corporate. Rare is the time when Republicans go ''lets not do that!'' when it comes to spoiling corporations over the citizens.

Both are beautiful women. I would like to meet this person so I can knee bash them in the face really hard.
It has very little to do with beauty and everything to do with skin colour

There are a LOT of people parroting this claim

The answer is far stupider. Works like that push into the "15 minute city" concept. And rightoids think the 15 minute city is a conspiracy to take away people's ability to go outside their "zone" "like they do" in China.
Yeah, the right are misconstruing:
'lets make everything available to you within a 15 min bike ride so it's easy to get to' as
'we will force you to stay within a 15 min bike ride'

Like, they can't imagine this concept without having to place a border control down. They're just that obsessed. The Oxford city one had thousands of protestors.

Remember, a lot of this is trying to reduce house prices so they are more affordable, so it's always going to be bank rolled by those invested in property. Same thing with the movement to transform office space into residential. Investors would prefer to go bankrupt than use a different business plan.

is beyond trump, he just their only viable battering ram currently

Melissa Gira Grant, staff writer at the New Republic, discusses her recent reporting on Project 2025.

https://twitter.com/melissagira https://newrepublic.com/authors/melis...

Melissa Gira Grant jumps right into what “Project 2025” is, an agenda blueprint provided by the far-right Heritage Foundation and supported by some hundred other groups that outlines their plan for a fascist transition in the case of a GOP victory in 2024. After briefly stepping back to look and where this project came from, and the particular role that Donald Trump plays in it, Grant walks Sam through the specifics of the project, centering around this idea of enshrining the family (more specifically the heterosexual nuclear family) at the core of policies to undermine same-sex marriage, trans rights, the DOE, social programs writ large, and generally gut the 14th amendment’s right to privacy when it comes to sexual and gender identity. After briefly touching on the role of the 1873 Comstock Act as central to the Heritage Foundation’s plan, Grant tackles Project 2025’s major goals of removing all mention of reproductive rights and abortion from US government policy, and punishing any governmental or public organizations that do not comply with their myriad fascist changes. Wrapping up, Melissa and Sam discuss the ideological focus of the project’s recruitment methods, and why their numbers are falling well short of their vision as the election draws closer.

Firstly, that is a lie. Using pronouns is not part of that bill. Secondly, the bill is going nowhere and not gonna be voted on. You guys really just do go on Twitter and stuff just to get upset don't you?

That's about the only halfway competent thing you've done, but I wasn't referring to that. You already know what it is, so quit pretending otherwise.
I literally don't because you constantly goal post. Everything I said to Trunkage was true.

And thousands of teachers are dead and the US is sending the army to teach kids there is such a shortage. Congrats. Well done

I, in Australia, as a teacher, have had Covid more times than my non teacher friends. Being in a classroom is far more risky than most other jobs

Even if you think keeping schools open is not going to hurt the kids, it was deadly for teachers.

But I know, you want everyone to die for you just to keep the day care open

I didn't claim this about Trump and vaccines. A while ago I was stating he was pushing them through fast

I'm pretty sure he has said both don't and do get vaccinated. Because he only speak to audience and not about what is true

Yeah, each disease gets a different length of time you should be away. Eg. Measles has 21 days. My country, the 'authoritarian hellhole' Rogan gaslightes you with, had 10 days at the start of the pandemic, then 5, and I think its 3 now. This is due to better data coming out and the fact that diseases without any vaccination will automatically have a longer period... for hopefully obvious reasons. Perhaps not obvious for you. We will see how this goes
Hundreds of thousands were getting sick each day. If you didn't have it yet, they made an assumption that you were going to get it soon. If you weren't sick with Covid, you could be sick with something else like the Flu that could make you susceptible to Covid

There are no badges stating that you were healthy or sick. It was a guess

About a half a million died from Covid before vaccines per year. The average death rate of the Flu is about 60k per year (with a vaccine before 2020).

Maddow is wrong about 2%. It was also from a time where the best guess from early in the pandemic where the guess range from 200k to 2mil deaths per year. While the actual number is in that range, both the top and bottom were wrong.

That does not mean you treat it like the Flu, because they didnt have a vaccine. It is NOW being treated like a Flu because there is a vaccine. This exact circumstance was stated from the start by many people, including Trump. Just because Maddow was wrong, that does not mean there isn't something to be concerned about

I'll ask this question again because you never answer this(slighty update to 2024): How many people needed to die in 2020/21 for us to actually worry about it? One million deaths isn't enough so 10? Maybe 7million as that's about 2%.... I don't know think Maddow claimed Covid was going to through all the US before a vaccine happened. So she wasn't claiming 7 million

And don't worry. Every pandemic from at least the Black Death had people like you who made up information that ended up killing more people and damaging the economy because they were worried about masks and quarantines. There will always be people like you
There's tons of professions with job shortages, must have all be covid huh? Faculty were the ones mainly passing covid around and not the kids because covid hardly affected kids unlike how kids are the drivers of the flu getting passed around. I would think teachers would be able to distance themselves from each other vs other professions. Also, there was a teacher shortage before covid, I guess covid can travel through time.

There was no push against vaccinations until the democrats tried to mandate it and it was shown to be unconstitutional. And, again, the left forced people to get boosted where the boosters actually did overall harm (young men) or else they couldn't go to college.

So people that got tested as being covid positive and never got any symptoms where contagious for 10 days? Come the fuck on. You're not infectious for 10 days with covid, that was never true, and just a number they pulled out their ass. Covid could've been treated just like a head cold/flu in that regard and it wasn't, plain and simple.
For people who have tested positive but don't have symptoms, "isolation and other precautions can be discontinued 10 days after the date of their first positive RT-PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 RNA.”

Why would you make such assumptions? We don't make those assumptions about the flu. Again, it was called early by the right as well as THE LEFT to be treated like the flu, and the right stuck to that and the left didn't. Then you all b!tch about Trump calling it a flu and blame him for not taking it serious early on (causing unneeded spread early) when at the very same time that is what the left also said. Also, there was no flu or other upper respiratory infections going around because covid out-competed them all. Lastly, there is no reason to force people to wear a mask for an airborne respiratory virus, it's not going to do anything.

Early on they (media and doctors) were using the case fatality rate for the death rate, which is not what you should be doing ever. I think at one point, they were saying higher than 2% even. If you are going with that number, how the fuck do you downplay that as just being the flu and not a big deal? The problem with the left was when we kept getting that number more accurate and much much much lower, they covered the virus as if it was even deadlier than at the start when they were going off like a 2% death rate. Like it's unsafe to have Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and bullshit like that, it was ridiculous. Peter Hotez was still yelling at people for seeing Barbie and Oppenheimer last summer. That is the craziness of the left.

There's no set number because if there's a set number of like 2 million and then it ends up being 1.99 million, that doesn't magically make it OK either. You also had covid targeting very specific groups (like elderly people) so you can have portions of society basically living normally while you protect the vulnerable. Covid was less deadly to kids than the flu so kids should've have no restrictions whatsoever yet they got the most restrictions in the end (it was literally backwards). It wasn't a one-size fits all set of policies. Sweden basically did as such and did arguably the best in Europe. Also, at that time, no one knew how long a covid vaccine would take nor did people probably know how fast it would spread either so Maddow (or anyone) trying to guess when a vaccine would be available at that time was just pure guesswork. When Trump claimed a vaccine would be ready as fast as it would, the democrats pushed back and called it dangerous. You're also then ignoring the amount of people in poor countries that died because the well-off countries stopped producing a lot of things and providing services that those countries depend on getting. It's not a simple answer and there's tons of nuance to it. But no, anyone not for staying home and doing nothing wanted to kill grandma. Lastly, you're ignoring the fact that it's unhealthy to socially distance for so long and the left also forbade safe things like outdoor activities (because they went crazy).

That's simple. If Trump's term run out there are two things he can do. He can take inspiration from Putin in either case. Either Trump abolishes term limits and abuses his power to ensure he has the power to go do this, or when its time to leaves he abuses his power over the system to force another Republican to succeed him.

Not really. What's bad about Democratic policy is that its pro corporate. Republican policies meanwhile are extremely pro corporate. Rare is the time when Republicans go ''lets not do that!'' when it comes to spoiling corporations over the citizens.
The Trump-Russia collusion was a farce made-up by the Clinton campaign... It was not Trump's conduct or crimes catching up with him. Stop lying about the democrats trying to remove a democratically elected president of lies they created. Trump doesn't have the power to change a constitutional amendment. You see all this Trump fear porn and you think it's true. It's not true. Trump challenging the votes legally was not doing it "the legal way"? It all got laughed out of court yet I'm sure you've been told by your fear porn that Trump stacked all the courts yet he got laugh out of court with all his stacked courts?

Every covid policy was literally the republicans saying "let's not do that". And the corporations with tons of money that fund the campaigns donate to both, they get what they what no matter who wins. They don't even care who wins.
