Battletoads does have extra lives, but the mid-level checkpoints are pretty stingy (including one level that literally doesn't have any), and with how quickly you can run out of lives you'll be seeing the start of the level a lot anyway I guess.That's literally Double Dragon 1 and Battletoads on NES.
