Really famous porn stars, like the huge ones, given how widespread their material is, and how many people enjoy it....they are generating like...MILLIONS of orgasms around the world. In fact, if you average it out, someone like Asa Akira, is probably getting someone's jollies off like what, every minute of every day perhaps?

I find that kind of fascinating, and also really neat. I mean, orgasms are great, and to think that someone is generating that much pleasure, around the world, possibly on a constant basis (depending on how the numbers average out), is kind of amazing. That is a lot of pleasure/enjoyment to make. What have YOU accomplished in your life buddy?!

What is with the current AAA videogame obsession with film grain? Every one so far has it automatically turned on or set to the highest setting, and now TLOU2 doesn't even let you turn it off or anything. It doesn't look good, it just muddies perfectly good art, assets and clarity of vision. Not only that, but I don't even remember the last film to use it either! Who is perpetuating this fad? Boomer board rooms? Is it focus test groups? Uncultured simpleton swines they always turn out to be, ruining soup and probably cancer research studies.

Also, a bit closer to home, how does one respectfully pull a person or close family member out of a conspiracy theory rabbit hole they've recently started to fall down? Using sites like QAnon and the pause.com with newfound eagerness. If you leave them too long, they may grow beyond help. But I've no idea how to approach It when they've dived in all limbs first, and there's already a few seeds planted when they're already a "spiritual" type person susceptible to suggestion and the like. It's worrying as despite recent trends and that, they were usually one of the few reasonably-minded close family.

Whatever, just wash your hands.

Pretty much just this song since I've been playing a bunch of Persona 4 lately.

I can imagine it being a thought along the lines of "This will make it look like its older. That means its artsy!"
Like how The Artist made a big deal about shooting on the authentic kind of film reel black and white movies used so people would goggle over that and ignore the average at best story

The world needs to smoke a doobie, like we're talking a spliff the length and girth of a nuclear submarine. Smooth over some jagged edges.

I'm Mexican so this is a pretty normal practice here, but I was hungry so I decided to snack on some pickled peppers, and I just got curious, is this like a Mexican thing or is it like common practice everywhere?

IDK, but let's just say that here it's weird when there aren't pickled peppers in someone's house, typically Jalapeños as they're very mild in spiciness but other ones such as Serranos and Habaneros are sometimes snacked on too, the peppers normally come with other pickled vegetables typically carrots & onions.

Can't say I've seen them often, but that's likely attributable to me not looking for them. With that said, the simple existence of the old Nursery Rhyme about how "Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers" (origin: England) would imply it's reasonably common.

I had my suspicions that it wasn't, we probably consume more here, since even the smallest stores have them in stock but yeah, I figured it'd be more of an international thing, though I will admit that I've never seen any of non-mexican brands, though that's likely because they're so widespread that it's likely that even if they were bought by an international conglomerate they've just continued to use the same name.

How do you think dogs of different breeds see each other? I've never seen any dogs treat other dogs different based on their size and breed, they always seem to just be like, "Yes you're five times my size and have fur flowing off you, but how does your butt smell?"

I would say pickled PEPPERS is probably more regional, but I live in the south in the US, and pickled food products is very common. I just don't recall ever seeing peppers. Various pork products, absolutely, you can find those in corner gas stations, if you are feeling brave. Peppers? Not so much. We don't really see peppers as an individual food, more something you would include in dishes as an ingredient.

My grandfather got stung on the noggin by a wasp. As I was ranting aboit wasps are nature’s douche canoes it struck me: I have no idea as to their true purpose. Memetic reputation aside, what functions do wasps serve in the environments they inhabit.

I'm too lazy to look any deeper, but National Geographic says they are very good at preying on a lot of the bugs we consider pests, so therefore they are actually extremely useful, they do do not cite a source though.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they're one of the various "eat the things that would otherwise breed out of control" species. Always seemed a bit of a vicious circle to me; insects have so many predators they need to reproduce in vast numbers, thus ensuring we need all the insect predators to keep their numbers down. Which came first, the predators or the population?

Do cats know when someone is friendly?

I ask because I stop to play with stray cat all the time when I'm out and about, and they almost always let me, but I see them running away from most people, so I kinda wonder if they can tell, or if I just have some sort of weird cat-connection that makes them friendlier towards me.

I've had as many as 5 stray cats following me around and people have pointed out how that's a bit unusual, as cats apparently are very easy to scare away.

I was gonna make thread out of this, but then realized it would not last long.

Capcom, can we please get another, official, Final Fight game? You tied up all the loose ends to the Street Fighter and Final Fight characters in SFV, so it can coincide withe SFIII being the final game in the timeline. Final Fight Streetwise does not count, and is considered non-canon. With Streets of Rage 4 out, and the new Golden Age of brawlers, you have no reason not too. You can have new cast of characters, keep it at a smaller budget a la, Mega Man 11 & Strider (2014). Properly advertise it, keep reasonable expectations, and you can have yourselves hit. Everybody wins.

Not always, but they are usually highly cautious creatures who pick up on body language amongst other things, so how you approach them is often key to whether they dart or not. I would imagine those other people were in some form or another intimidating in ways they were not aware of. The affection of a cat always feels more earned in that sense. You should visit Istanbul to see the city of cats! 🤗

Oh, I see it's probably because I never approach cats, I just call them over to see if they want to play and well most of the time they do.

And yes visiting Istanbul sounds like a good idea, I might even use the cat army to take over the city.

The following are the rabid comments of an avid dog lover. Feel free to disagree; you’re not wrong:

I’ll be deep in the cold ground before I lower myself to “earn the affection” of a cat. Cats are the worst. I was pretty ambiguous towards them until I moved in with my gf 4 years ago; she has one, now I hate them. Pretty sure they’re the reincarnation of someone who hated you in a past life. They don’t respond to their names, they can’t be trained to do fun tricks, they shit indoors and stink up the place and then watch with disdain while you clean it up, and my God, they can fuck right off with the 4:00am meowing sessions. Ours (well “hers,” I’m not claiming that bastard) waits until the middle of the night, places herself equidistant between our room and my gf’s son’s, and meows for no reason until someone wakes up, at which point she stops, climbs on the couch… and goes to fucking sleep. Pure evil, this one.
