Yes. For refrence I stopped watching Family Guy since the middle of the 7th season, Nowadays, you can only get me to watch the first 3 seasons, but even then I have to be in really good mood to watch them....or that bored.
Only time I watched it was when my friend introduced me to the giant chicken fights.

I've come to the conclusion that I play way too many video games.

A friend of mine was annoying me while we were talking. He also had a stomach ache while talking to me. One bout of indigestion struck, and I instinctively said "Suffer like G Did".

When it was brought to my attention that I say that a lot, and no one knows what the hell I'm talking about. I incredulously stated that it was one of the most famous lines in House of the Dead 2.

After around 30 seconds of silence, several more lines were questioned. They all had video game references.

... That's a sign of a problem, isn't it?

No, not at all, whomever doesn't know the glory of House of the Dead 2 is the one that has the problem.

Why is it that when you have an itch and you scratch it, invariably some other spot starts itching?

The insidious ghost itch. If it's feeling particularly devious, it will move to the top of your foot while you're out in the supermarket with shoes firmly shielding the bastard.

Ooh yeah, that's a vexing one. But not the worst imo. That would be if it moves way up in your inner ear.

And up your nose holes. 😔

Separate thought; Katherine Parkinson should do more videogame voice work, after hearing her colourful tones in Worms Battlegrounds do so wonderfully. Perhaps she could even be a flippant cheeky Lara Croft!

I always thought the voice work was just one dude putting on a variety of extreme accents, you're telling me they actually got some different?

Well, that dude may very much still be doing his thing, I cannot say for sure there. But Katherine is the 'story and other stuff' narrator, totally separate from the various worm accents.

I got tired of that show after just a handful of episodes. I have no patience, or enjoyment for shows based around the idea of "look at these horrible people act like complete douchebags. Isn't it HILARIOUS!!!!???!!!!" It's why I didn't like Seinfeld, or House, or *gags* Rick and Morty, and definitely not Family Guy.

In the same vein, why is it you can't really tickle yourself, but if someone else does it, you squirm and squeal like a 3 year old girl?

My theory is you are getting a feedback loop from both sides of the contact, when you try and tickle yourself.

Hand/Fingers: Brain, we are proceeding to tickle the armpit.
Brain: Roger Roger
Armpit: Brain, we are receiving tickle sensations from the fingers.
Brain: Roger Roger, that checks out, carry on as normal.
Armpit/Fingers: Roger Roger.

But the other way.

Armpit: Brain we are being tickled by an outside source.
Brain: BBBBBWHAHAAHAHAHA STOP STOOOOP!!! OH GOD I'M GOING TO PEE!! STOP IT....*SQUEAK AND SQUEAL AND SQUIRM*
Armpit: .....ok I'll uh....I'll check back later I guess.

which is why I like the first three seasons well enough. All the characters had jerk moments but it was nothing like how it is in later seasons. Seinfeld I never hated, but it always felt boring to me. And it wasn't just because the characters were jerks. Seinfeld is a show about nothing. I do admit looking at some clips to make me laugh. And at least for House, characters actually learned something and it usually sticked. Though like I said in a previous post I stopped watching House after season 5. So I don't know what happens afterward.

I really hate it when things make me emotional out of left field.

There's a scene in the "I'll never watch it but I watch a lot of movie Reviewers" film, The Fanatic. And there's a scene in it that keeps tears in my eyes.

And I get it. I know it's Misery meets modern culture. I know he's not a good guy. I know that he's mentally unbalanced and he needs help. I get that he's dangerous.

But I remember the tears of myself and my friends when it felt like everyone was picking on me. And John Travolta's character has a scene where he's breaking down in the middle of the street, feeling scared and hurt and picked on. It's not the acting that gets me, but I remember that pain. I remember feeling like no one respected me. Not even my friends. And it still hurts so much today. I couldn't keep it together typing this because I remember wishing everyone would stop picking on me.

It's similar to a scene in Central Intelligence where the two leads meet up with a former high school alum.

It doesn't matter if I'm a certain height, if I can lift a certain amount of weight, if I can fight or not... That pain is there. And it will always be there.

I do talk to a professional. But I realize it's a part of who I am.

Do elaborate heists in heist movies and stories only work because the characters haven't seen any heist movies?

I would say so, doesn't help that the security in most heists isn't necessarily realistic and apparently the most realistic robberies in film is fairly simple stuff like most of Heat but especially the Van robbery which apparently was replicated in life successfully and stuff like Snatch, or the illegal Casino robbery in Killing Them Softly.

But probably not, I mean assuming you worked in a bank, a casino, jewellery store, etc, you're probably not going to be prepared for like an Ocean's 11 Heist or whatever, however being realistic even if the robbers are successful they would probably be caught by the FBI not long after, I mean when I worked at a store I was never particularly alert, so much that there was both a kidnapping, a fire and even my car got stolen and not only me but no one else inside even noticed, and well while I was lucky enough to not have been there when we got robbed no one that was there was actually prepared, other than to give them all the money because that's what you're supposed to do.
