You rattled off over two dozen games that I’m assuming are played fairly regularly. If it’s surprising that someone else might not have time for more than a fraction of that, I guess I proved my point lol.
I know I personally don't have time to juggle more than two or three games at the same time. But I'm a loner apparently with no wife or kids, just a job that eats 12 hours of every workday.

Imagine a wife and kids on top of that! Some people do it...and I don’t envy them. Thankfully my job eats “only” 10 hrs including commute time. As it is I pretty much have to lose sleep for “me” time, but I’ve gotten used to it.

I mean I am in the same boat for the most part, but my weekends make up for it because i have no responsibilities and can play all weekend if i want. Assuming I don't have to adult my way through other things like home or car maintenance.

ACG is terrible. His videos are 75% longer than they need to be. He keeps trying to look smart by padding his sentences with useless metaphors and similes that feel totally forced. I often forget what the fuck he was even talking about because he interrupts his own point to add a couple more of useless metaphors. Not to mention that he emphasizes words in a weird way. His punctuation is all over the place. I can't tell where one sentence ends and another begins. And his reviews simply suck. They're all surface level stuff, masquerading as something deeper. He even has the audacity to try to review the sound in the game, as if he's some kind of audio specialist. But it's only there to make it look like he's covering all the bases. He's completely and utterly useless as a reviewer.
I pretty much agree. It takes him just about half the review to get to the stuff that matters, gameplay and story. I kinda think you should lead with what kind of game it is before talking about graphics and sound for 10 minutes cuz that's kinda the crux of whether someone will be interested or not in the game obviously. I bet if he reviewed Among Us, it would take a good 10 minutes for him to tell you it's a social deduction game. Graphics and sound don't need near the time they get allocated. Sure, emphasize some high/low points of the graphics, talk about framerate and consistency for a couple mins but it's a video review, I can see how good the game looks by watching the review. Same thing with sound basically, it doesn't take long. I got nothing against going in depth of stuff like graphics and sound but that shouldn't come before gameplay. And his analysis on the important stuff is very surface level and that's the main thing I come to a review for.

I like his rating buy, rent, wait for a deep deep sale. Though... I very, very , very seldom buy new at full price to begin with. Do you have a favorite online game reviewer? Or someone better. I personally don't have one go to person.
I kinda hate those type of ratings. I want to know if the game is worth MY TIME to play. There's tons and tons of games I wouldn't play if they were free.

---

Also, just wondering if PS5 has PS4's accessibility options to remap controls cuz that's pretty fucking important to me.

Not a lot of info on the Interweb about remapping controller buttons but I predict it will be a thing. Don't stress about it.

I hate to rain on people's PS5 parade but PS5 will have

No quick resume

Likely relatively worse cooling

No SSD port at launch

Loads the game slower than Xbox Series X.

Sony being a jerk about Faceplates

RDNA 1, and 2 vs just 2 on Xbox Series X

However none of what I just said is relevant as what really matters is games yes, but also how many people buy which console. Which I don't know.

Yes it will, it just wont have quick resume to multiple games.

Likely relatively worse cooling
No evidence of this.

No SSD port at launch
No EXTRA port at launch.

Loads the game slower than Xbox Series X.
Slightly slower, and so what?

Yep the games are what matters, and guess what Microsoft doesn't have?

I also mentioned how many people will buy the console.

The amount of consumers that use external drives is what %? I'm in IT and a techie and never even thought about using an external drive for a console ever. PS4 couldn't play MP3s at launch, nobody really cared.
Exactly. I mean it is a fucking games console. Shouldnt the really measure be which system gets the best games? Because only one console has already got banging games at launch. Just saying.

COD literally is 250 GBS at launch, Games nowadays are 50 GBS if you're lucky to 100+ GBS if you aren't. All the best games in the world won't matter if you can't play very many. So people's idea was to buy an external hard-drive, transfer from your SSD to your hard drive when you're finished, and then transfer back if there's new content or you feel like replaying.

I think the console race will be closer than people think.

Either that or switch to PC, or stick with their PS4s, and Xbox Ones.

I didn't really expect you to be able to transfer games. All this makes buying console games digitally more lol-worthy. So trendy completely ditching physical media and giving control totally to the digital distributors, right? In a country where most people still have bandwidth limits imposed upon them. If you have three huge PS5 games that you're juggling, you could be downloading the same huge files against your bandwidth cap multiple times in the same month.

Apparently, PS5 games will have no surround sound at launch.

I don't know if this forum is nice to YouTube timecodes, but this video is supposed to start at 48:55.

Mark Cerny says support for more speakers will be added later. So all those people with speaker systems will be stuck with fake sounding 3D stereo.

Popular video. I find this demo fairly convincing. With headphones. Pretty unimpressive with my speakers, which I'm guessing is how playing Sony's 3D audio without headphones will be. I love my headphones, but I don't like wearing them all the time, nor should I be expected to.

That video is almost 8 months old though. DF’s UI “tour” mentions audio and customized speaker settings starting around 7:50 -

Unfortunately it looks like they skipped right over Accessibility settings, which would answer a lot of other questions.

Idk why these places are so in love with hearing their own voices. He dropped a “So uh, yeah...” every few minutes and never even bothered with several categories. What’s wrong with just some pleasant music and actually showing every setting at least briefly? Would’ve still taken less time.

The reviews i read said the people had no trouble downloading their ps4 games onto the ps5 via the psn and the games all worked fine. So i dunno what you mean by transfer problem. Unless you mean merging the ps4 harddrive data directly to the ps5. Because ive heard that can be a pain in the ass.

I don't really have a go to person, either. I tend to canvas YouTube for interesting video game analyses. Some of them can be several hours long. But I enjoy a good, deep analysis of a video game, even if it's an older game that I have played. These days I find myself enjoying thinking about games and how they are designed more so than actually playing them. Maybe I should try to design one.

Neither one. Talking about transferring games to an external hard drive to free up storage from the mere 667 GB that cannot be expanded yet.

It’s not like it would even be for reasoning involving piracy prevention, since they could easily put a digital “tag” or “watermark”, etc. with the user’s ID on the games that were installed vs something randomly found. Then when they go to reinstall the PS5/PSN looks for a match.

If they know what’s best for them they’ll end up reversing this choice, like they did so many other things they stupidly nixed going from PS3 to PS4.
