It's definitely not in a standard aspect ratio, but I didn't notice it really. Was super noticeable in the trailers, I wonder why it didn't bother me at all this time.
I think it is a bizarre choice, but whatever.

Ultimately, once you sit down and watch something for a couple of minutes, you do admittedly stop noticing.

So long as the film was built from the ground up with this ratio in mind and not feel like it was stretched or shrunken in size to accommodate it, then I approve of it.

I was wondering, did they put a dedication to Autumn Snyder at the end? I mean it’s hardly going to be a dealbreaker I’m just curious.

So i'm gonna see this thing this weekend, I hear its good, which honestly is a shame because its not going to save the DCEU. Its dead, has been for years, and Wonder Woman's little saunter with rape in her last movie was just the final nail in the coffin.
I'm glad Snyder is getting to release the movie he wanted to, even if a 4 hour movie would never be released in theaters and he has 4 years of rewrites and fan critiques to rework the movie. But I don't know what the point of this is. Ray Fisher is gone, Ben Affleck is gone, Henry Cavill is gone, the Wonder Woman franchise is on life support, the Flash movie is all but canceled and who knows where Hollywood is going to land on Aquaman 2.
They're already rebooting Batman and Superman, won't be long before the reboot the others and try again.

Since it can be only watched on HBO Max, at least you'll get access to a bunch of other classics like the original DCAU Animated shows.

I can now say that this image of Joker in the Jesus outfit, wasn't in the movie at all.

The lighting, the perspective, the cgi, the animation. The proportions on what I have trouble believing is Zeus, as he looks more like Lou Ferrigno, appeared to be fully CGI from the neck down. He seemed top heavy in his proportions in a very unrealistic way. All of that looked like some film student's semester project into special effects with some friends and some semi decent equipment. Not a hollywood studio with truck loads of cash behind it.

How would you fix the lighting and perspective, AND CGI and animation?

i dunno, NOT do that sequence? Find someone else to direct? Find an actor that actually has the body they apparently CGI'd on top of him? Use some fucking colors other than grey, brown, and smoke?
