    E3 2010: Shogun 2 Total War

I've been waiting for this since the Rome engine first debuted, and even more after they released a sequel to the original Medieval Total War. And finally the waiting has paid off! Yay ^_^

UK Elections - The results and musings.

Well, because of the mess-ups in several polling stations to do with being unable to deal with a higher turnout than last election (though turnout is lower than in the 70s and 80s and they never had problems back then), along with the attempt to woo the Lib Dems by Labour by going along with...

    Mod's Playground

This is why I grew to love PC gaming, and grew tired of console gaming; you're stuck with whatever the developer deigns to let you have. I liked the original Medieval II: Total War, but the Broken Crescent/Increased Blood mods turned it into a spectacular new experience. And your point about...

    Poll: DDKRMMORPG coming this Fall?

Empire total war demo, Like it? For that matter, Have it?

I'll definitely agree that the AI is more responsive, and it's certainly far more proactive than the AI seen in most previous games. It'll be interesting to see what the strategic map AI is like, because apparently they've fixed the wierd thing whereby the Military and Diplomatic AI for a...

Empire total war demo, Like it? For that matter, Have it?

I've played every Total War game there's been, and I've been looking forward to Empire for a while, but this demo definitely feels disappointing, because the gameplay almost exactly resembles Imperial Glory, a poor total-war clone set in the Napoleonic Wars. The camera is also stodgy, which...

So, they've killed Batman... (Spoilers for anyone that actually reads the comics)

Like it was put earlier, DC and Marvel are notoriously bad when it comes to canon, and love wiping it out when they feel it'll get more readers..

    Mumbai Attack

Not too long ago most terrorists would have been white... the Red Brigade, the IRA, ETA, it's only really been since the 80s that we haven't dominated the terrorist gig. Hell, there were Jewish insurgent groups in Israel before the British gave control of the territory to the UN, who then set up...

    Mumbai Attack

Well, let's remember that the Pakistani government is not united, the ISI(main foreign and domestic intelligence agency in Pakistan if anyone is unaware) is often claimed to be a government within a government and a law unto itself, it wouldn't surprise me if they were behind this at all. I...

    Mumbai Attack

So it's still going on with at least one militant holed up in the Taj Mahal hotel, has cost probably over 150 lives and caused 370+ injuries, massive damage to relations between Pakistan and India, and was probably carried out by the Pakistani ISI without government backing to sabotage relations...

    PurpleRain reviews the Gravity Hammer

Having played Halo 3 and (so far managing to keep quiet on my opinion on it) not reviewed it myself, I agree about the gravity hammer, using that was the most fun I had in the entire game. That and melee combat in general come to think of it, it was much more satisfying than the actual gunfighting.

    Battalion Wars 2 videogame review

Maybe we should enter haiku reviews now, they're certainly compact.

    Uncharted: Drake's (mis)Fortune

There's a difference between racism and imagery that has connotations of racism. Having a white person shooting black people is not inherently racist. Whatsoever. However, it's an unfortunate set of images considering the history of racism across the world AND the history of the slave trade...
