I would have to go with the Fish Speakers in the Dune series. Although there is something to be said for having a literal god in your midst (or at least a half human-half sandworm hybrid) a la the God-Emperor Leto II.

In role playing games there has to be some kind of incentive to be good, evil, or neutral such as access to super-powerful weapons, major stat modifications, etc... Just being acknowledged as a good, evil, or a morally ambiguous person by NPC's is nowhere near enough incentive for a morality...

I am mainly a console player (Xbox 360), but I use both Steam and Origin for my PC games. So far neither has proven to be superior in my opinion.
