I've played a bit of Mario and Nintendo Land, and they're OK. Honestly, it's worked best for me as an internet-capable tablet that I lug around downstairs.

Arrows keys or mouse clicks to move around, spacebar or double click to jump. I ended up using one hand on the keyboard for movement and the other on the mouse for selecting stuff. Lots of teeny menus that go away quickly. Just don't right-click on the screen; the menu for that can take forever...

My first Final Fantasy was 6, and while I still enjoy it a lot, my favorite's 5 because I really enjoy the job system. Tactics and 12 are close runners-up due to the political intrigue in their stories and lack of whining about being close friends.

It's hard to have a bad Kirk when it's bad to begin with. I felt like TNG was a good warning against doing Kirk stuff. Who wants to catch galactic gonorrhea?
