Portal 2 Model Maker Creates Talking Combustible Lemons

Zero Punctuation: Call of Duty: Black Ops

When he asked for white Anglo-Saxon tough-guy names, was anyone else thinking of this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFHlJ2voJHY

Play an Urban Cowboy in Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Head. Hit. Desk. "Bound In Blood" was a wonderful, wonderful western, and this is just spitting in the face of what the spirit of the CoJ franchise was about. I actually really like the idea of a video game set in the drug wars of Mexico, as it's a relatively untouched setting for games...

Wonder Woman TV Show Details Leaked

Jesus Christ. This looks atrocious. Then again, from David E. Kelley, maker of such gems as "Snoops," "girls club," "The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire" and the ludicrously horrid "Harry's Law," quality is not a consideration. New rule: the way to desecrate a comic book franchise isn't...

Yakuza 4 Will Have Over 6 Hours of Cutscenes

When a game promises six hours of cutscenes, it's almost like they're asking Graham and Paul to spend an entire month on it.

Fox Network Will Continue Raising Hope

Interesting to see The Escapist adding some TV coverage to its news lineup - of course "Walking Dead" got its fair share of attention, but that's firmly in the nerd camp. I like the wider range of topics Elizabeth's adding - very curious to see where it goes. As to "Raising Hope?" Don't watch...

What's Your October 2010 Game Going To Be?

"Fallout: New Vegas" is at the top of the list, though both "Vanquish" and "Splatterhouse" could be fun - I'll wait for demos and see how I like the style. Everything else looks like a sequel to games I didn't care much about.

BioShock Infinite's Big Daddy Substitute Gets a Name

I like the name and the design - and I like even better the concept that there's only one of these things. The fact that there were multiple Big Sisters in "Bioshock 2," rather than just one pulling the strings as the preliminary GameInformer article described it, really defanged it from...

Valve: Everything We Do Competes Against Half-Life 2

No doubt, but I think it's reaching the point where hype is going to backfire on them. It's the same thing that will happen if "Duke Nukem Forever" ever gets released - it's been so hyped and so anticipated that whatever comes out can't do anything but disappoint. I don't think it's there...

Valve: Everything We Do Competes Against Half-Life 2

I hate to reiterate what's already been said, but this raises a point: if everything you're doing is competing against one game, wouldn't it make sense to finish the last part of that game so you can move on?

Zero Punctuation: Shadow of the Colossus

Huzzah! Always nice to see a retro review - this one likely motivated by the countless recommendations to Roger Ebert that he play it to prove games are art - and one that makes me think I need to finally get my hands on a PS2. I am a little surprised he didn't mention anything about "The...

The Movie Nerd Bible: Part I

All good films, many of which I still need to see. Definitely see the remastered version of "Metropolis" that came out last month - it makes so much more of the film, not just visually but in terms of narrative and symbolism.
