I guess what I meant to say was that I found Saren to be an epic boss battle more because of the lead up to the fight than the fight itself. The confrontation on Virmire and the dialogue options before the fight begins, plus the way you can talk him into killing himself to avoid the fight...

I might try one or other of them on a rental basis if I am bored of my games and have a little time on my hands (unlikely on either count). I certaintly won't be buying either but may pick up bad company 2 on the cheap some day as I did quite like the original.

I don't have a problem mowing down enemies in most games as it is a kill or be killed situation and you need to do it in order to progress the game. I also don't mind killing big daddies in bioshock as I need the adam and rewards they give, plus I think I am probably doing them a favour...

For me RAAM from GOW1 (especially on insane mode) and Saren from Mass Effect 1 were 2 of the best bosses I have ever fought against, and had the pleasure of killing :-)
