Games didn't get given an R18 in Australia a year ago because the maximum rating for video games was only MA15, so any game with content that exceeded that rating wasn't distributed because legally, all games must be rated in order to be sold.

Not that suprised about this. However, I will be suprised if sales of the console (from "hardcore" gamers at least) will crash after E3 2013 when the NextBox and PS4 will probabaly be revealed. And "casual" gamers will probabaly just continue with their old Wii.

The only example I can think of is Heavy Rain, mainly because you really didn't want to fuck up the QTEs and lose that particular character for the rest of the game, but that would be retty hard to implement into more conventional games.
