I was just about to agree with him, though that music made me giggle away from that.

Good show, good show.

Thing is it's true. The Darwin awards are just a natural extention of the basic concept of schadenfreude. A little more morbid perhaps, but still very human. Anyone who says they've never laughed at another person's suffering (even minor) isn't British human. Either that or they're a liar.

Thank you for removing your self from the gene pool.

Theres a cookie waiting for you in Ragnorak.

Yes I do belive in Norse mythology, its as valid as every other religion.
Well then get your facts right they'd be going to Hel, not Ragnorak, Ragnorak is the name of the battle at the end of the world.

OT: The stories on the site are hilarious, I mean some of the deaths are pretty tragic (like poeple dying in their 20s or as teenagers) but the circumstances and sheer stupidity involved just overrides that.

I'll let you know as soon as I start to care. Seriously, don't you deserve to die if you're that fucking stupid, especially when you have several minutes to think your plan over.

Yes those people were fucking morons, yes they had their fate coming, my comment was to the people who actually thought it was funny.I just find it morbid when someone finds death funny , thats all.

You know what , I absolutely agree, but laughing at someones death is alot different than laughing at someones "minor" sufferings. I just think that laughing at someones own death ( even if it was brought on to themselves) is taking it way too far. Maybe if you got some common sense you would realize this , but for now, you are worth no more to me than the two dudes that blew themselves up.

Actually I'm worth quite a bit more. Legally, financially, emotionally, intellectually - I'm worth more. Primarily because they're dead and I am not.

And perhaps you're right, it may be different. However notably if they're dead they probably care very little that we are laughing what with them being dead and all.

Unfortunately, not enough people actually kill themselves through their stupidity to have any large affect on the gene pool.
But the people that do "are credit to team"!

In many cases it isn't published because it is funny, but more because there is a certain simple entertainment value, as morbid as it might be. Most of these people are given many chances to avoid their fate, but through their own choices still commit the deed that sends them to the hereafter. Now if it ever involved someone else being put at risk, someone who would never have put themself into that situation but ended up yanked into it by the idiocy of the original person, that would be too much for me. I have yet to see the Darwin Awards feature a situation like that, though.
Besides, many can learn from the mistakes of others. Why encourage ignorance by not featuring these incidents?
Edit: My point is, I don't find it hilarious, but still entertained after a fashion. And educated even.

Let's lets all laugh and show much of elitist nerds we all are... *In a British accent, for some reason*Hohoho, how stupid the human race is, I'm glad that I'm above all that hohoho.

It's fun to have a laugh at the stupid things people have done, but saying how far above that we are is unfounded because even the most clever people can do stupid things.
