I don't get Cheating... truly I don't, not on a game like COD... were's the gain, ho your top on the leader board go you, you have no skill you just hacked it. Playing games online is a test of skill.

Griefing other players. Making them feel like shit. Ruining their enjoyment. Getting your rocks off to their impotent screams of rage as they yell at you for being a dickless shitbag cheating not-nice person.

It's not as if griefing in games is anything new. I would've thought people would understand what goes through their minds by now.

Just seems a little much just to be a prick. Surely these people have better things to do with there lives then cheat on a online game, it's not as if it's a victimless crime and unless you get off on having people think your a utter dick head there no real reward in it.

this game has been one big slap in the face for pc gamers.
however they really don't seem to care at all, i mean they ban 2,500 people and that's supposed to make things better?
how bout patching the game to get rid of the hacks and cheats and if these people really cared couldn't they just make another steam account and buy another game and keep going on since the banning is over?

another reason for me to not like CoD games, never have never will

Sadly, not a very profitable one. Since using the banhammer is a lot cheaper than paying someone to track and stop hacks.

Assuming you mean that pissing people off makes them a victim, that's exactly what the griefer wants. He knows it's not a victimless crime. That's the entire point.

S/he does it to annoy you. You and everyone else. They don't get off on people thinking they're an annoying dick, they get off on people RAGING at them over the internet with shouts of anger and vulgarity.

Griefing is a game to us them. Where you get your enjoyment from kicking ass on an even playing field and topping the scoreboard legit, they enjoy ruining the games of others. Same video game, different methods of enjoyment.

I still have yet to come across an aimbotter or wallhacker. And I've played at least 36 hours worth. Guess I'm lucky or most of the hackers are in the US. Aus ftw?

I hate cheaters with a passion. And I don't get their mentality. What's the point of playing a competitive game when you cheap ass cheat your way through and everyone can tell that you're cheating? I just don't get these people. Where's the fun in that?

Unless the truth is that cheaters are just a bunch of assholes who don't even want to win - they just want to ruin the game for everyone else.

Seriously, words can't freakin describe how pathetic cheaters are and how much I despise them.

The game and all the mess it has created is really pathetic. Cheats would've not been a problem in the first place if they didn't forbid us from using dedicated servers and the console (and they did forbid us, the console is working, though blocked). This would create gaming communities with mods and admins taking care of things.

hmm.... well, it does beat the alternative of them continuing to let the hackers play while raking in their cash. So they're doing their job at least.

Still, it would help to stop the hacking at it's source.
