5 Videogames everyone should play

Maybe switching out Bioshock with Mass Effect. (And Mario 3 instead of 1)

Mmm, that's true about Mario 3. The first was the earliest game I remember playing, so it stood out more than Mario 3, for me.

Oddly enough, I also had to choose between Bioshock and Mass Effect for the last spot. I ultimately gave it to Bioshock because of the impact of the story and the atmosphere. Now, if the list was "10 Video Games Everyone Should Play", then Mass Effect would be on there, for sure.

2. Bioshock - One of the best first person shooters ever.

3. Resident Evil 4 - Revolutionized third person shooters.

4. Resident Evil - Coined the survival horror genre.

Jumpstarted mainstream FPS games for consoles. Doom, Quake, Half Life, etc were already massively popular on the PC and predated Halo. Halo CE brought forward nothing new, other than an entire generation of new unsuspecting console gamers who thought it was revolutionary.
