I've got a degree now, but I'm still pissed off that I HAD to do French and Design Technology for my GCSEs. They were both my lowest grades (a D and an E). I would have taken History and Geography instead.

YES! THANK YOU!Mackheath said:Religious Education.
It has no bearing on your future, teaches you nothing you can use in real life and is more often than not completely out of touch with modern day views.

I don't know about what you study in this class, but no matter what you do, you will have to be able to express yourself in writing. It sounds like this class is just to make sure all of the graduates know how to write a decent paper.Eumersian said:But we have to write papers and study things and all kinds of other crap, even though the class has absolutely nothing to do with being successful in your future career. /rant
To a point I agree, but the compulsory RE short course taught at GCSE level is a pile of balls. I think a more philosophy and ethics based course would be brilliant.RAKtheUndead said:As for those people complaining about those courses which don't directly influence your career, cry more. I'd rather have a society of Renaissance Men than a bunch of specialists with narrow minds and no desire to learn anything outside their field.
