My Crappy Classes:

Media Studies: Sort of interested in part-time writing for 'mo money at some point, hence I chose this. Turns out to be arsing around with cameras and making Powerpoints. Probably my fault for picking it really.

Sociology: The Teacher is a great guy, the lesson however, is boring. It's essentially "Poor people steal cars, rich people avoid tax".

English: I love English, and again, the Teacher is fantastic, but I honestly feel that I don't need the lesson anymore, and the more I do it, the more bored I become. Plus we have debates, and the last thing anyone in their right mind should want is to listen to my classmate's opinions.

Citizenship: Oh dear God where to you begin. Citizenship is a recycling of a few scraps of shockingly bad ideas from indefinite points in time, nailed into the education system as mandatory because the British public thinks that anybody under the age of 26 is a serial killer/rapist, and somebody somewhere needs to have it look like they're at least trying to do something about it; that's what the course looks like anyway.

And finally the IT Course has you Screenshot yourself using a Search Engine, to show that you can do it. Yep. Really.

Ah, venting is good.

I used to have to do a class called P.S.H.E, which changed its name to Pastoral Care, which changed its name to Learning for Life and Work. Completely useless.did it for 4 or 5 years and learned very little. It was one of those "Don't do drugs, don't have unprotected sex, don't be racist" classes where we learned the same thing in every class. Also my teacher gave us the biggest piece of coursework we've ever had to do and then told us she'd given us wrong instructions and we had to scrap the whole thing and do it again.

Religion was even worse but I could write paragraphs just about how awful my teacher for religion was, but I won't.

Gothic Fiction sucks... I have been forced to read the most boring books I have ever read in my life! It is not going to help me in any way. Thankfully, I've only got 2 more months left of it!

As for those people complaining about those courses which don't directly influence your career, cry more. I'd rather have a society of Renaissance Men than a bunch of specialists with narrow minds and no desire to learn anything outside their field.
To a point I agree, but the compulsory RE short course taught at GCSE level is a pile of balls. I think a more philosophy and ethics based course would be brilliant.

I study Earth Sciences at university, so I don't have any class bothers, but back in 6th Form I hated chemistry. I got an A, but I got through most of it by only having a half understanding of what's going on. Everything slipped out of my head immediately; the only reason I got any grade at all is through ridiculous amounts of revision.

Mathematics 114... The prof is scatterbrained and Chinese. He barely speaks English.

I'd say generaly drug awareness classes and shit.
When you hit 6th Form you know for a fact that most of your teachers drink, smoke/have smoked(in both senses), and may have dabbled into other "recreational" drugs. End of the day as long as you're not a fucking mong about it and keep it in moderation with everything else in your life you won't have a problem. It's when you start dedicating your life to bunning draw erryday and disregarding your education that you end up in the shitter, like a few people i know.

Reading 103

Let's teach you study skills that you should have learned (Whether you choose to use them or not) in high school. Except this time you're paying us to teach you what you gradually learned yourself for free :)

-Office Information Studies, boring and pointless learn more up computers just using mine at home.
-French, wasn't great at it and would have prefer Spanish.

Geometry and Algebra, Earth Science, and OH SHIT! There's Sports! There's chemistry and Physics, and oh so many more!

(I tried to make it rhyme)

Anyways, any subject that has to do with Mathematics or with a science subject other than Biology or Sociology.

General Studies.
"Let's waste an hour a week working on your essay skills which you can all do well enough anyway seeing as you got good enough grades to get into Sixth Form!"
Yay...
Ah, for me it tended to be "[My name], get up and tell the class about current events because you're the only one here who reads a newspaper or watches the news, and put your book down."

"Mentors session" roughly translated. It fills almost no purpose. It's an obligatory lesson that is for people who are being bullied to talk about their problems. "Shouldn't this be only the person who is being bullied, and the teacher?" I hear you ask, and yes, that is how it is. But this means that the class goes like this:

We enter the classroom. The teacher asks us if we have anything to discuss. We say no, and then we are free to leave. I have many times thought of not going to class, but if I do then I get 40 minutes of absence, since 40 min is the time that the lesson is intended to be.

Damn paladins!!!! Or like school? Geography is a big uh... something. Anyways it sucks, if I need to get somewhere I buy a map or print one off of google dammit! I don't see how memorizing the entire fucking mountain range of Colorado is going to help me, in less I get lost up there by some bizarre incident.
