It's like I fused Sephiroth and Pikachu together in one holy amalgamation.

Or, if that fails, use an obscure series character, like my other persona, Senor Cardgage.
Holy creative combinations batman!

OT: I winged it with mine.

Ziadaine and Zené I created as they are also part of a story I'm writing. Before anyone says it, Fuck off I didn't get Ziadaine from Zidane, It was a mere co-incidence when my friend asked me about the similarities.

well i think a username should be something you yourself will remember, and why not use your "gamer tag" from games? you usually make those personal as well nyah?

mine is made from my own name (being called Radical or Rad for years made me change my name :D), and when i made an avatar in second life, i chose the last name at random.. buut i ithink it worked out great. the Radical Paine. this has been my UN and GT for ages.

Well - as has been said - your username should be something relevant to you, and something that would make you stand out at least a little. When a site gives me a suggestion that my username must have '609' on the end of it to be viable, I realize that some bastard has stolen my goddamn username and I must hunt them down.

Er, I mean... I will have to pick something else, but still equally relevant to me.

Anyway, 'R' and 'B' are my initials, so there's that. I used to go by the moniker of a skater I created in THPS2, because for some reason the character became my staple character of that franchise until I gave up all hope on it.

I then decided to devise a new moniker, and after several revisions thus far, I'm on this one.

Don't choose one with numbers in it. My original username here had numbers in it and I was so glad to change it. Also, use capital letters at the start to make it stand out.

Mine came to me in one of the few dreams I have ever experienced, or at least remembered (I have night terrors). I had saved the world from asteroids on a ship called The Rockerfly. I don't remember how but I know I made the ship in my dream too. For some strange reason qualified enginers refused to make a ship that could save the planet

The Rockerfly is me across most of the internet unless I want to be annoyomous then it's something else which I am not going to say because that would defeat the purpose

Phantomess... the nickname I earned at uni for my unfailing devotion to Leroux's novel and ALW's musical. It was also my alter-ego in my LostCities project. I rebuilt the Paris Opera House and added the Phantomess as the original Phantom's apprentice.

How to choose a good username? Easy to remember, non-complicated. That's the way I choose 'em!

A good username...one that represents you and is easy to remember. Something that isn't too common is also good.

I don't like using the same username for everything, because it's too easy to track me down that way. I have set ones for certain types of sites. For example, for Steam and Xfire I have the same username, whereas on graphics forums I have another username.

The one I'm using for this site is just one from my default list. I go to it when I don't have a particular one in mind. I just like it because it's the name of one of my favourite 40k characters, minor as he may be, Midas Betancore.

CrashTestZombie is my Live gamertag. My first one was Zomb1fy, which I didn't like because of the l337speak. I chose this one because I like zombies, it fits the 15 character limit, and it's easy to shorten.

Since then I've been using it across the interwebs.

Hubilub is just something I randomly typed out one day.

It originated as a 60-year old persona on Youtube so I could watch the execution of Saddam Hussein.

Then I just kept on using it and using it for different sites.

I'm rather proud of my Username. I use it for most sites I go on. I came up with it thinking "Hey, I need a Username and I need it to make people laugh. A Snarky Username..."

And thus my username was born.

I got this one by accident.

One day my brother and I were making profiles for a game, and so I went to type in "Imperfection" which came out to "Imperection".

I had finally got him and his friends to stop calling me "noodles" and THIS happens.

But it grew on me, so there ya' go.

Thyunda is a name I made up for a fantasy story I wrote. Then I needed unique names for the internet, and I figured Thyunda would do nicely, since nobody else was likely to take it, and because I hate usernames with numbers at the end. You have no idea how many 'naruto956828628' and its variants I've seen.

Like others have said it has to be something that you won't get tired of. When I first joind the escapist I used the name kaneisfeelingable but I got sick of it so I changed it. Grimtuesday is the title of a book by Garth Nix in the Keys to the Kingdom books and Grim Tuesday is the villein in that book. Not to mention it just sounds cool.
