I'd rather they develop for the Linux users. Yes, there are MS hating Linux users but at least those Linux users have an idea about the hardware in their machines or how their OS operates. Most Mac users are fucking hispter morons that make the majority of 360 gamers appear intellectual.
Oh, yes. I have a Mac, AND a 360. I must not know anything about hardware and software, which is the sole factor in determining if someone is worthy of life! I Must be a fucking hipster moron!

When I got my Mac, I wanted to use PC software, so I taught myself how to use the terminal, and began to use Wine, like Linux users do when they want to use stuffs for Windows. I've begun to use the terminal a lot now; it can be quicker than the Finder program. Its not that hard.

I admire the work of real developers who produce the amazing, open-source programs available in the world, but not someone who, because they use Linux, expects people to be in awe of their technical mastery.
Also, Valve announced a native Linux version of Steam and Source ages ago.

Has he tried pausing it and starting it up again? It was doing that to me when portal was free i had to constantly start it again and again
Yes. I did that. It would either say Downloading-0% or Download Starting. I've contacted steam and I'm waiting for a response.
I had the same problem the last time TF2 updated (PC). I just waited a couple hours, and the server load eased up.

Generalizing an entire group of people only serves to make you look bad.

It's The Servers.

I know because it's happened to me before with various steam games and patches.

Now stop the flame war and close the damn thread. God.

Simple solution:
Buy a computer.
Not a Mac, a PC.
There it is. For all the Mac user hate around here, the assholes like you are what I see more often.
And it's the assholes like him that also gives Mac gamers more ammunition against PC. Now Mac users can say Mac is better cuz their gaming community isn't full of assholes. Seriously, I game on my PC and not on Mac, but I don't go bashing Macs. Now stfu and stay on topic. Fuck I swear the dumbest PC fanboys have a Mac Thread radar so they can flock to it and flame pointlessly.

Anyways, OT now. If you link the info to his system it may help better understand and give us a basis for our potential solutions.

I'm on a PC and I get that message sometimes. A lot of new users joined due to the free weekend.

I also tend to get cut off from my load-out quite often (but that is for a different topic :L)

Most Mac users are fucking hispter morons
Most Mac users
Most Mac users
MOST. MAC. USERS. KEYWORD IS MOST.

ARE YOU MOST? NO? Then your kneejerk reaction is unwarranted.

Jesus christ. Its like after the "OMG STEAM AND TF2 ON MAC OH NOES" berserk button is hit and no one likes reading comprehension anymore. Instead its "Mac/idiot/dumbasses/make look smart" with the kneejerk reactions of "Oh so I guess Im stupid huh?"

Yeah, because saying, "Most," makes everything OK.
Its Perfectly OK to make downright offensive comments about groups of people, as long as you point out the possibility of exceptions.

How do MAC users right click?
not a joke seriously, some special mouse?
Right click has been there in all mac mice for over 5 years now.
You don't see the second button, but in the mighty mouse it's hidden as a sensor that detects wether you click on the left or right of the casing. How the other new mouse, that trackpadthing, works I don't know.

You can also use a third party mouse. Been using a logitech for over 6 years now.

The Magic Mouse works the same. I have one of each and the buttons are just hidden under the casing. i don't recommend using the Magic Mouse to game though, crazy hard to use. I guess the Mighty Mouse isn't much better although I haven't tried gaming on it yet.

I've met a lot of Mac users in my past job as a PC repair engineer and in my current job in retail. Besides one, and I'm emphasising one, none of them had a clue what they were talking about and you could feel their egos and sense of arrogance like the heat of a sun. Till I meet at least enough Mac users that I require both hands to count, I will afford Mac users nothing but scorn.

Congratulations, you're part of the smallest minority of Mac users to exist.

On my Macbook Pro, you just put down two fingers on the trackpad and click. It's that easy.

Just so you know. I won't buy a PC because of three things. 1.Mac runs better. I've proven it with my cousin. 2.Windows is cheap and re-uses things. 3.Windows 7 is a prettier version of vista. Once again proven with my cousin. He knows how to look into the operating system they were the same.
Your cousin is an Idiot or your talking out of your proverbial or some combination of the 2, 1) I will grant you, for system stability and ease of use Mac's are superior to Windows-based PC's for most people. 2) Of course Windows re-uses things so does Apple, if dev had to start from fresh each time a new OS would take decades to release (did you not even wonder why on your OS there is a number 10.4/10.5/10.6) 3) I'm not sure about "prettier" that's more an interior designers area of expertise so i'll take your word for it but the functional differences between Vista and 7 are massive, system stability, GUI, resource management and a whole host of upgrades, if your cousin didn't spot any of those he should probably be supervised before he is allowed near a toaster.

Speaking from experience the Mighty Mouse works perfectly well for gaming. Certainly much better than the track pad.

It may be but what he's talking about is something called track record.

For example, if I step outside my door and get hit with a bucket of water by a man standing outside, I naturally will not expect to get hit the next day with the same bucket. But the next day I do and the next and the next and this keeps going for quite some. It is natural for any rational human being experiencing this to develop an expectation and defense for this such as wearing a raincoat and/or using an umbrella. Or punching the guy in face.

Hmm... analogy ran a bit long...

@Erana: So sorry, you are expecting Internet discussions to be perfectly rational and sane? How else can one complain, moan and ***** about a relatively insignificant issue? Simply dont? Preposterous. :D
