Slutty attention whores, ignore them and they'll go away. Or set them on fire, they'll get all the attention they want.

Youch... you'd wouldnt think a little playfulness would spark such reaction...

(I've never done anything like that btw, only with people i actually want to be with...)

Open-minded? No, just annoying.
Pseudo lesbianism makes me angry.
+1 Agreed. Care to elaborate on that?
Erm.. which part? About the pseudo lesbians? It's just one of those silly things that gets under my skin. I think it stems back to high school, actually. I was going through that whole 'finding myself' phase and realized that I was bisexual. At parties and whatnot, girls would always grope each other and make-out and junk, probably because they were drunk and they knew the guys were watching, but anyway... upon questioning some of the girls, they freaked out and pegged me a lesbian. WELL SHIT, what the Hell was I supposed to think while you were fondling some other girl's rack??? Jeez...

o_o *ahem*... so, yeah...... *wanders off*

Is it true that girls are more open minded than guys? I was having a conversation with a ladyfriend and she was telling me how girls like to grab each others chest and make out just for the hell of it. And I asked, "Doesn't that make you gay?" and she told me, "No its just that girls are just more playful than guys and are more open minded."

And I have seen that first hand, back in high school the girls that I knew were always chasing each other trying to grab each others chest and would give each other a good morning kiss or a goodbye kiss.

So I'm just wondering if all girls are like that or if its just where I live?

Edit:BTW I asked those girls if they do it for attention which they replied, "No we don't care what people think of us, we just do it cuz its fun."
I just stumble on to this thread and, since I'm a guy and have studied a bit of psychology, i can provide the answer. Or at least, my version of the answers since i was asked that before.

Think back in yours first three to fourth grades. When girl were to insult somebody back than, they would call her a whore, *****, ****, etc... But when it time for boy, one insult is use more often than the other: Your gay. Keep in mind, not everyone like homosexual. So the insult ( the kid pick this up as an insult ) is later throw at someone else and pass to another. Since at that age, sexuality don't come into play the negative connotation of the word stay imprinted in guys' minds. That remain the case in high school, were interactions are... Let just say I got a TO KILL IN A HORRIBLE MANNERS LIST and some violent tendency, and my diploma. That connotation is still there and still use to insult. While girl don't have it or are encourage to develop it by a group of F'ing perverts. Therefore, It easier and better perceive for women than it is for man.

As for me, I'm still uncomfortable around gay behaviors (aka: Everything in the LRR Video Gay Chicken), but less freak-out by gay attitude in general. Lesbian on the other hand.... well, why do you think decide to check that thread in the first place? I'm a bastard, but a honest bastard :p

Eh, I'll try to kiss people of any gender if I'm drunk(And I mean uber-not-even-aware-I'm-concious drunk). I don't care so much about it if I hear of my antics trying to kiss friends but, damn, I have some bad taste when I'm dangerously smashed.

Needless to say, I'm never drinking in such a magnitude ever again.

Yeah, though I am attracted to guys. not to the magnitude that I am to girls but I've never ignored or suppressed any homosexual twinges I've had.

I don't think it's open minded so much as it is opportunistic.

Hilarious typo is hilarious :)
Damn it! Paranoia always has that affect on my higher mental functions.

Curse you, future bisexual rulers of the Universe!

Well, I guess in general women tend to be more affectionate than men, so it would make sense for them to do things like kiss each other on the cheek as a hello or goodbye. Men are less affectionate and tend to be less open about such things, many guys(myself included) have no problem hugging their friends, its pretty much the homophobes that refuse to because it is "gay". It is not that women are more open minded, its just that they act differently then men, simple as that. Though there are exceptions to every rule, so keep that in mind, there are plenty of women who are as affectionate as a rock.

Something I've learned in my Psych classes is that women, in general, have a more "fluid" sexuality than men, and thus don't always perceive such things as sexual.
That help at all?
...I think that answered my question.
Glad to have been able to help, maybe.

It's definitely more normal for girls. Girls will hug their friends all the time, sometimes even kiss each other on the cheek to say hello or goodbye, and nobody really bats an eye. If one of my (male) friends tried to hug me, I'd be like, "uhh... dude, what the fuck?" and if he kissed me that would be grounds to lay his ass out.
...that last part sounded a lot less gay before I wrote it. but you know what I mean.
Nice save.

Honestly, it sounds like they're just attention whores looking to get that "omg hot" reaction.

On my XC team there is a lot of man love, but its strictly non-sexual, if that makes sense. For example, a lot of my friends will say that I look really hot or am beautiful or that they want me inside of them...you get the idea. I do the same. Its a way for us to reaffirm our relationship with each other. By coming up so close to this line of "homosexuality" we display our deep love for each other. We are willing to say things that are not socially acceptable because we care about each other. Plus, it always feels nice to be told you look good. However, there is a strict line between "romantic compliments" and actual action. If any guy on the team tried to kiss me there would be trouble. I love some guys on my team, often in a way I haven't been able to with a girl, in my limited experience with them. However, I am not physically attracted to any of them.

I haven't seen anything that, visable, where I live. On teh other hand, I do believe that the accepted behaviors for straight women, even the common behaviors, are much closer to those behaviors associated with homosexual women, than with men. The line between gay and straight seems a lot thinner for women than men, at least to me.

I go to an all guy school and would fuckin love if girls came over here to make out. On a more mature note yes I have seen some girls do the hug and little kiss thing. Only once have I've seen like a full on make out and i'm not gonna lie it was very... lets say arousing. One of my girl friends who was at the party later talked to me and called them attention whores so i guess some girls don't like it when girls do it to get guys attention.

Or they just cover up their gay thoughts by being overly gay. Hiding in plain sight, good plan, weird execution.
Well someone else answered my question and it just boils to "They did it for teh lulz"
Yeah talked to those same guys that did those things awhile back and there having a nice life with their wives and have a decent job. They did those things when they were seniors and I was a sophmore.
I've known a couple of people that have been married for 20 years and BAMN gay.

Some of us are. But not all of us.

Some of us can be very social, however others just wish to have our own space. Like me.

I remember when a girlfriend of mine told me that on her camping trips over the summer she would sleep in the same tent as her female counselor and they would "cuddle." That really pissed me off, an adult taking advantage of a minor to me, but to her it was completely normal, she looked forward to it. I never figured out exactly what "cuddling" was, but it seemed up whatever it was. So yeah...I dont know what that adds, but if some guy counselor had tried that on me his ass would be in jail right now.
