Frankly you've got a lot of guts, I've seen the trolls whine about PC gamers being nasty meany heads to the console gamers and vice versa. If you haven't already been nommed on by the pathetic cretins of this forum then I'm happy for you.
Naw i've already seen my share of console 'tards. One of the main contributing factors to me regardlessly skipping online for both (also I have wireless in Rural, when it's good I'm playing TF2 baby. =] )

You should've seen all of the hate console gamers and pc gamers were exchanging with the MW2 stuff. (don't want to derail so I'm stopping here :p )

I'd say choose the PS3. There are many games that focus on singleplayer, plus you can get some great PS1 games from the PSN Store.

If you don't want multiplayer, I'd say go with PS3 if you like complex games or Wii if you like unique games.

Yea, if you want some great single player, then look at MGS4 and Little big planet for ps3.
And I heard the ps3 ratchet and clank game was really good.
Uncharted 2 just came out and there is always infamous and then there are all of the multi-platform games to choose from. Plus if u ever did want online, its free. And u get playstation home.
I say that if u have enough to buy a ps3 and a couple games then go for ps3.

Oh and dont listen to anyone bashing MW2. Its great. Just play it and see for yourself. :p

the xbox does MP games a shave better IMO, while the ps3 does single player better, I also suggest the ps3, as the wii is more of a novelty, and i think it'll be the first one of this generation to be succeeded as it has no HD, is basically a repackaged gamecube, etc.
games like uncharted and inFAMOUS are simply awesome on the ps3.

Just so you know, EVERY SINGLE ONE of those PC games you mentioned are out for the XBOX 360, and the following of them are EXCLUSIVELY 360 (by exclusive I mean just 360 and pc)

Fable.
Fallout 3 (came to PS3 Later)
Bioshock (came to PS3 later)
Mass Effect
Assasins Creed (came to PS3 later)
Prototype

So if you want games like these (and sometimes exclusively, sometimes year(s) earlier than the other consoles) get a 360, the xbox 360 also has the best online service, DLC commonly comes out earlier (sometimes by over a year) on the 360 than the PS3, and there are more people actively playing on xbox live than on Playstation Network (since PSN is free, almost all PS3 owners have it, so the numbers may suggest more people use PSN, but trust me, the number of ACTIVE players is much higher on the 360)

the point is, I would HIGHLY recommend the 360, but if you go with the PS3 that would not be a tragedy

do NOT get a wii, they have a much much lower number of games like the ones you listed above, barely any at all

PS: Before the PS3 fanboys attack me, I respect the PS3, hell, I own a PS3 (granted it is collecting dust) and as an owner of all three consoles, my xbox 360 has seen more than ten times the use of both of the other consoles combined. So sorry PS3 fans, the 360 has just catered to my playstyle much more (and I have played and enjoyed EVERY game on the list you supplied OP, so I think we have similar tastes)

lol to end any possible future derailment, I'm not going to buy it, and I'm contemplating it being worth the Bandwith to pirate it... so far no.

OK so far the general consensus is that PS3 is superior with Singleplayer Experiences, from which is what I'm looking for.

Possible the only question remains is which PS3 singleplayer games should I get?

Wii is the best compliment to PC gaming and 360 is the worst. PS3 would be a compromise.
What makes you say that? I could not possibly disagree more (I do think the PS3 is in the middle) the 360 seems most similar to PC gaming, and the wii is packed with crappy little minigames like wii-fit.

I admit the wii has had its big titles (mostly accumulated around launch) like Zelda TP, but come on, they are NOTHING like PC gaming

If you want a decent Single Player, I'd say Ratchet and Clank.
Noted :)

Check the my new OP, as I've made a list, if you have anymore suggestions that'd be nice :D

I'm fairly sure that all of those games are on PS3, too, except Fable. Well, Mass Effect isn't either, but there have been rumors abound that it will come soon. And if he already has all of those, why would he want to buy them again for the 360? (Kidding, kidding...)

I'll toss another vote out there for the PS3. I bought mine a few months ago, and my 360 hasn't been getting much use since. As everyone seems to agree, the online for Xbox is far better, and I personally like the 360 controller over the PS3's, but I'm currently loving me some PS3 exclusives, whereas I was pretty "meh" in regards to Fable 2 and... others. Don't get me wrong, I would advise getting both if you have the funds (really liked Lost Odyssey and a few others), but I'd choose the PS3 to match with a gaming PC.

All the ones I didn't list as (came to PS3 Later) are exclusively 360, except orange box, I gotta change that one.

If he enjoyed those, they are plenty more of that nature for the 360

and I have to ask, what the hell do people mean by "better complement"? I mean, I backed up my argument with facts about exclusive titles, why do people say it is a "better complement" anyway?

I would recommend the PS3, since pretty much any game that comes out for the 360 also comes out for the computer.

If you want good single player games. Don't go for a PS3 or 360. They focus to much on multiplayer games now. Buy a cheap PS2 there are some great games for it. I won't ignore the fact that most of these are JRPGs. Unless you want to play online.

If you want single player games with replayability, I'd go with PS3. It has so much.

Infamous
Uncharted Series
Metal Gear Solid 4
Ratchet and Clank games.

All fun, and replayable :)

There is a hack that basically puts DS3 internals inside a 360 controller, as well as a few third party controllers that might help you out. I found this one:http://www.dreamgear.net/shop-by-platform/sony-playstation-3/shadow-6-wireless-controller.html which seems to be one of the rare few that supports motion controls. I might pick it up myself when I have some money to burn. There is also this one by Nyko:http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/03/10/latest-nyko-zero-wireless-controller-for-ps3/

As for games check out:
Infamous
Heavenly Sword
MGS4
Ninja Gaiden 𝛴
Ninja Gaiden 𝛴 2
Uncharted 2
Demon's Souls

Not trying to be rude, but I think I stated several times in the OP that I'm looking for a Singleplayer experience...
Then I'm not sure why the answer needs to be any more complicated than "Choose the console that has the largest list of games that seem interesting or compelling to you." Five minutes with Google will provide a simple and edifying research experience on the topic.
Google won't tell me first hand experience, and answer all of my questions at the same time.

Where as a person who does indeed own a console should be able to tell me the problems and the ups.

Also consider most google results will end up as Fanboy posts, and thus be entirely unreliable.
Neither will asking around on any forum. The only way to gain first-hand experience, by definition, is to play the games yourself. While it's true that alot of what you see on the internet will be biased, Googling games that you like the looks of has the advantage of providing results from the gaming press. They're flawed individuals, just like everybody else, but they're payed to at least pretend to be impartial, and I'm sure if you dug through their souls you'd find at least a scrap of it clinging to the idea of journalistic integrity.
I'm not saying ignore what people tell you, or don't ask at all. I'm just saying that before you make a decision to spend a lot of money, read as much as you can from as many sources as possible, and make your decision based on that.

If you only want a singleplayer experience (Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3 just to start) and you want something cheap (Cheapest console) with a wide controller scheme (Your hands are not as big as the nunchuk-wiimote wire) there's always the Wii. But of course that's for babies and old women.

Ahh good point, but I must say that the posts were rather informative, and helpful and didn't seem to contain "HURRRF DURRRRF 360 AND GAYLO IS FOR FAAAAAAAAGS" from which is one of the main reasons I posted here.

I am ofcourse checking other sources (just checking back now actually) and I'm using this site as sort of the "Base" you know? If someone reccomends something for reasons listed I'll check that particular product and try to make connections on my own, and if I like what I see then I'll get it.

And as is, I'm still iffy spending such a large amount of money.
