All 3 next gen consoles have there ups and downs.
Though people often put the Wii down there's great catalogue of games simply because of backwards conpatability with the gamecube. Grab 4 gamecube controllers (I got 4 3rd party ones for £8) and a second wii controller and numchuk. From there there a few escencial games to get; Mario-Kart Double Dash, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros Melee, New Super Mario Bros, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy and No More Heroes. I will say though that's probably the weakest of the choices. Don't let the original price fool you, you'll have to throw in some doe to get the most out of this one.
Xbox 360 I personally think you be the best choice (it's certainly mine). There's a HUGE catalogue of games to choose from, my favourites being Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4, the Orange Box, Batman Arkham Asylum and so many others. I will say that 360 has a lot more to offer on live, even if your not a multipler kind of guy such as DLC, Arcade and Xbox Originals. It also has a few added bonuses, like the best, most comfortable controller of the lot. The bad sides of the console remain the sound it makes (I though being a console gamer ment I didn't have to listen to that bloody fan) and the unreliability of the system. I've only red lighted once, but I'm one of the lucky ones.
The PS3 is a console that I think only recently has managed to find it's legs. The high price of this console means that your purchase is really going to have to relie on exclusives. Ratchet & Clank, LittleBigPlanet, Uncharted, God of War, Heavy Rain, the Last Guardian and Metal Gear are the ones to look out for. Unless the majority of these titles interest you your basically buying a very expensive 360 with a few luxerys. The graphics difference isn't really that noticable, and it's still a step down from the high end PCs. But, thoughs are still some great exclusives, and disregarding the price it's the best console this generation. And anyway as I've never owned a PS3 I'm pretty much talking shit.
