Step 1 - Stop backstabbing your own developers... Which helps with the second step, which is...
Step 2 - Start making games that don't suck again.
Step 3 - Make sure Kotick keeps his mouth shut in any public setting. I know you can't "fire" him, but at least make sure he keeps his trap closed so he doesn't come off as anymore of a giant douchebag than he already does.
Step 4 - Stop fucking over your costumers by removing things like dedicated servers and mod tools so you can extort people for paid crap.
Step 5 - Stop being greedy dicks and trying to inflate prices.

That's essentially it.
My exact thoughts minus a few swear words towards activision

Did it really take this long to realise we hate them

Even when they try to be better to the public, they make people hate them more with their verbal diarrhoea they spew from the mouths. ,': /
Like everyone else, I have to agree that Kotic should be rid of.

The only thing that'll improve their image will be Kotick's head on a pike outside their main offices.
Is it wrong that I can't stop laughing at the thought of that image?

1. Dedicated servers for PC community
2. If you are THE LARGEST company in the business than why charge for some maps and small content? Adopt Valve's method of doing things, like, you know... free support?
3. Stop talking about subscription idiots...

Acti is long dead in my book.

Activision Bobby Kotick: "Hey gamers, guess what! We're finally giving you what you've all be clamoring for! The chance to give us even MORE of your money!

Huh, I wonder why nobody likes me? Pfft, they're just jealous..."

Activision has been along for a very long time and made some great games which deserve credit. But the way they market things these days isn't good. Hope they will wise up. Maybe a bit of ironic forsight they had when they made this:
I see what you did there.

Very poignant actually.

Good luck reaching into my heart Activision It's (Warning, Memes ahead)behind over 9000 proxies! Are you a bad enough dude to enter my base?

Horrible joking aside, they have alot of work to do, and unless Activision comes up with a way to make Gamers feel happy like Project 10 dollar from EA or quality goods like from Blizzard or Valve, then I can't see this going well ever. Oh well, I gues we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Calumon: I would hate to be Kotick's PR guy right now.

Wtf activision! maybe its because you keep talking like that you have an image problem.

You treat the market like you own it and try to tell us what we want while saying the way you are doing things are good for gaming.Get your heads out of your ass activision that could be a good start then actually listen to gamers for once,

When did Activision become number one?? And better question since when do we rank game companies??

The reason you catch so much flak Activision is that you've gotten too greedy and are trying to snatch money where ever you can and don't try to communicate with your consumers properly.

Listen to the consumers, sacrifice some money to improve their experience and they will be happy and draw in more consumers.

EDIT: in fact I think we should get Activison to hire an advisor from the Escapist that we vote on since a lot of people here get other gamers and know what you should/shouldn't do

My feelings 100%, saying they have a target on their back because they are number one is a straight up lie, disingenuous at best. I love blizzard and they are huge (yes I know they are the same company but blizzard for the most part run their own shit and just contributes to a bottom line, and they for the most part have staved off money making schemes like Activision, although recently I find myself examining the statement again), I love valve and they are huge. I hate Ubisoft and they are huge, and I am meh over EA and they are huge but once were dicks. They have begun to redeem them selfs in my eyes.

If they start giving me back dedicated servers, the ability to make my own maps and mods so I don't have to pay their outrageous prices on DLC, and absolutely asinine bull shit like charging $10 for multilayer so I can't sell my game back to someone (it's called the first sale doctrine and this practice would be 100% illegal if this was a physical good, but because it's software and our laws (USA) are absolutely useless in protecting the consumer these days they get away with it). This practice would be the same exact thing as a car dealership disabling features if you want to resell it.

Since they bought blizzard and their billion dollar WoW MMO. Starcraft 2, and Diablo 3 will only make them larger and more dickish for something they don't even touch (AND THANK FUCKING GOD FOR THAT, don't fuck with my blizzard games Acti, seriously).

I can not even begin about how fucking shit Activision and Kotick are. It's sad because Activision used to be a great company and in their early golden years they were ironically the exact opposite they are now. They gave gamers what they wanted and gave quality and passion in their work.

Hey dickhead, we don't have an endless wallet, people actually need to buy your shit and there's a line that needs to be drawn. If they keep this sort of shit up it's going to be the '83 crash over again, seriously, it's the exact same problems that we're experiencing with Atari back then (though luckily gaming is much bigger now and there are countless of companies, so I don't think that can ever truly happen again). The best thing for them to start improving their image is to blame their target audience? Smart fucking move, it obviously has nothing to do with your shovelware and shitty rehashes, completely uncalled for comments and an incredible amount of not getting it.

Just.. What the fuck?

It will never happen, but the biggest thing they could do is get rid of Kotick. That would be the immediate factor in winning over "the industry" that "painted a target on your back".

The first step to improving his company's image is to shed off the layer of arrogance.
