Name: Slender Hector

Age: 20

Gender: Male

Culture: Misbegotten

Background: Criminal (Would be Gentlemen Thief)

Ship: HMS Invincible or the The Mermaid

Appearance: Standing tall and thin at 6?7? and 140 lbs and with six scrawny limbs, Slender Hector lives up to his name. He wears a ragged, albeit bright suit with a matching hat complete with hatpins, as the hat was salvaged and is incomplete, slowly coming apart at the seams, only held together by the pins he has managed to get his hands on. Poking out from underneath the hat, is a shock of fiery, unkempt, uncut hair that always annoys him. He normally carries with him a cane and a cigarette holder he salvaged from the rubbish dumps of the blocks to complete the gentlemanly, but dilapidated look. Some of his hands and his feet are misshaped and would look out of proportion on a normal person, marking him as a misshapen mutant.

Personality: Being a wannabe gentlemen thief, he always acts suave, charming and polite. imitating the debonair adventurers of the dime novels he read. But he is still just a twenty-something that has just broken out of the blocks and knows little of the world outside of them, only trusting those that show that their allegiance doesn?t belong to the Empire, but still keeping his true intention close to his heart. Nevertheless, Hector isn?t all smiles. He enjoys his new-found freedom from the Empire?s cruel commands and will stop at nothing to retain it. He feels no guilt and has no mercy.

Biography: Born with six arms and abandoned by his parents and left to his own devices, he was always getting his hands on something, whether it be a dull cast away pocket watch or a broken umbrella. When he didn't spend time stealing, he sewed, repairing the scraps of fabric the city sent him. Soon he got his hands on some dime novel called The Adventures of Trilby and dreamed of having daring escapades at the helm of an airships with a dashing woman in one hand and bags of loot in the others, flying off into the sunset.

Unfortunately, life in the blocks didn?t offer such excitement, Hector had to start small, picking pickpockets one day and casing joints the next. However, in such small areas his antics didn't go unnoticed. Pig-Snout Pete woke up one morning to find his favourite trinket missing and many other more fellow Misbegotten soon awoke to find their valuables missing. An angry mob soon assembled and demanded that he would return their belongings back to them, unable to do so because he had a ready sold them, they drove him out to one of the nastiest blocks, hoping that the skinny spider-like scruff would starve to death there.

Hector didn?t plan on letting a few angry neighbours stand in the way of his hopes and dreams. He saw the punishment as an opportunity to escape the blocks for good. Left to his own devices, as always, he gradually dug a tunnel out only using six spoons and his own determination to be the one of the few people who had ever escaped the block unnoticed. It was something that would only be found in dime novels he had read, only something most people would think would happen in fantasy-land. Hector had always thought that if Trilby were there, Hector would have earned his respect.

Ending up in the air-docks, Hector stopped himself from becoming overwhelmed by the wondrous spectacle that lay before him and spied a fine vessel to make his getaway on, throwing caution to the wind, he got on it without even checking whom it belonged to.

Any criticisms welcome.

I choose you: My Character! (finally)

Name: Rear Admiral Adriana Victor Elizabeth Lanester

Age: 29

Gender: Female

Culture: NeoVictorian - Upper Class

Appearance: Admiral Lanester has long, naturally black hair that is starting to grey despite her efforts to stop it. Her eyes are similarly dark in color, while her skin is in a constant state of "tanned" as a result of long hours spent working in the sun.
She tends to dress formally, even while on duty, to enhance her officer persona. This consists of her navy uniform; a Royal-Navy blue greatcoat with red trim, a white silk-shirt, a pair of durable Royal-Navy blue trousers, and a pair of heavy black boots. A large captain's hat completes the ensemble. When at a truly formal event, she wears a large white wig (the custom of the upper class). It has been argued that even were she shipwrecked, her first priority would be ensuring her uniform is up-to-spec. This is a joke... it would be more like her third or forth priority.
On her, she carries a small flint-lock pistol for defense as well as a masterly crafted rapier. Her most notable feature however is an impressive metallic right arm. She has two of these arms. One is for formal occasions - colored and designed to compliment her uniform, while the other is designed for when she is "on duty"; containing a built in musket, a bayonet wrist attachment, with a spyglass/scope mounted on top for viewing/aiming at long range. Both arms contain a wireless telegraph so she can communicate with any ship she commands from a distance.

[img/]http://cghub.com/files/Image/307001-308000/307654/068_max.jpg[/img]

Personality:Admiral Lanester takes her position in the navy seriously. She believes wholeheartedly in the will of Emperor Victor III and that the empire is just in it's actions. She understands that many people within (and without) the empire believe it is oppressive and tyrannical, but Adriana recognizes that a society must have rules to have order. Is not the benefit of survival against the wilderness outside preferable to the few freedoms that are scarified to maintain it? And, if you answer no; then you can go out into the wilderness or join the pirates; but the consequences of this choice are yours to deal with.

She, like most Neovictorians, may not agree with every action the Empire takes, but believes that for the most part it does the best it can. Considering how powerful the Empire is; she must be right to believe so. Of the things she disagrees with is the absolute class system. On her ships, an individuals knowledge, skills, and actions earn them rank; not birth right. This has made her somewhat unpopular with the other admirals, but it is because of this system that her ships have a greater success rate on their missions.
She believes in the Empire's right of expansion; that by conquest they can bring civilization to savage world around them.

Adriana is a perfectionist; she runs her ship tight and accepts no failures without due cause. She is relentless in her pursuit of pirates and enemy privateers, though not recklessly. Her perfectionist side pushes her toward caution, and toward ensuring every available advantage is in her favor before engaging an enemy. Once they are engaged however; few escape her grasp.

Adriana is conflicted by her feelings toward Garrett Corvus; on the one hand she has been raised to believe the sky-peoples are savages to be civilized or destroyed, yet her own attraction to the wild draws her toward them closer. She has yet to resolve this conflict; leaving it simmering in the back of her mind.

Biography:
Adriana Lanester was born the fifth child of the noble house of Lanester. Being such a late child, she had little prospects for inheritance, with only marriage to look forward to. Her older siblings were all boys, and as a result she grew up a bit of a tomboy; taking to wild actions "unbecoming of a lady". As she grew older, she petitioned her family for an education; hinting it would "increase her marriage prospects" and "perhaps settle her down". It took little effort to succeed in this endeavor, though the results were not as her parents had desired. For though she learned a great deal about many subjects, and gained an unshaking faith in the empire, it did nothing to calm her in the slightest. Upon achieving the education she needed, she joined the navy without delay - seeking an "alternative to marriage" for advancement. As it turned out, Adriana was intelligent, connected, and lucky enough to earn commission as an officer early on, allowing her to quickly climb in ranks until she reached the title of captain.

She had initially planned on maintaining her rank here; as it effectively ensured her ability to keep her status in Imperial society (all be it with the stigma of a Royal-Navy officer instead of a proper Lady). 5 years ago, this all changed.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your stance), it was at this time she first encountered the menace that was piracy. While on a simple escort mission between cities, a pair of sky pirate vessels attacked from the clouds, broad siding her fleet; sinking two of the three escort vessels (including the flag ship), before there was a chance to react. Her own vessel (the H.M.S. Conquest), left alone save the escorted vessel, attempted to engage the two ships in an attempt to buy the merchant vessel time to escape. One of the two ships escaped her attempt; chasing after the cargo vessel instead. By the time the first ship had been dealt with, the second was boarding the cargo ship. Breaking off from the hobbled first pirate, the H.M.S. Conquest counter boarded to repel the pirate hoard. It was during this counter boarding that she had her first run in with one Garrett Corvus - Mercenary. While she was working her way through the enemy pirates, pushing them back to their ship, she was engaged in battle by a particularly skilled swordsman. The two exchanged blows for several minutes, before the pirates made their retreat. Though she didn't know it at the time, this would not be their last encounter by far.

While the pirates were retreating, she was relieved of her arm; the victim of a poorly timed cannon shot. She lost consciousness due to the wound, but her ship and crew - under the command of the First Mate - managed to finish the fight and save the cargo. They rescued what Imperial Sailors they could, and made their way to the nearest safe port. For the effort and loss of limb, she was awarded he title of "Rear Admiral" - expecting that she would leave the service due to the injury. To the contrary, she had an automaton limb installed and took command of the H.M.S. Allegiance.

The next four years were spent pirate hunting, an activity that drew particular ire from the pirate community and put her into contact with Corvus nearly a dozen more times. She even encountered the infuriating brigand within the walls of Neovictorian high society - that which was supposed to be her refuge. Inevitably and invariably, these encounters resulted in a battle - either of wits or of swords - that always seemed to end unresolved. Over time, the two began to build a repartee, taking enjoyment in their roughly equal footing. It eventually became a mild pleasure for Adriana to encounter the swordsman aboard the ships she and her crew boarded - not that she ever intended to admit it. This cycle was unsustainable however and finally it ended; in a rather unexpected way.

After a particularly long time in the air, Adriana returned to one of the many Neovictorian naval bases for a well-earned rest. This rest however was short lived; as a mere three days in dry-dock, a pirate vessel attacked the base. they slaughtered their way through the unprepared troops, eventually reaching the inner base. Though they fought bravely, they were caught off guard and out numbered by a half. After a long battle, they were beaten and she was taken captive. Apparently, the attack was an attempt to capture a high ranking Imperial Officer - her. She had all but resigned herself to death, when the unexpected occurred. Her cell-guard was Garrett Corvus. The shock grew larger, as not long thereafter, her broke down the gate - freeing her from the cage. Through a combination of their fighting talents, the two managed to escape the vessel (leaving a small fire very near the ships gunpowder store), but not before Corvus took a wound to his arm from a bullet aimed for her head. After their escape, she asked why he had freed her, and even taken a bullet. His answer was simple enough; love. She hadn't expected the answer, even less so in such a direct manner, and did not respond to his declaration immediately, instead offering him thanks, a reward for his service to the crown, and an answer the following morning After sorting out her feelings on the mater during a particularly sleepless night, she agreed to pursue a relationship, despite her misgivings and a major problem.

Over the next few weeks, spent recovering from the ordeal, her feelings for the mercenary grew steadily, as did the problem. She could not reconcile her feelings with her duty to the crown, despite her best efforts - a pirate and an admiral could never be. Adriana however, was nothing if not determined. Never one to simply accept such a choice between desires, she hatched a scheme; she hired Garrett to be her personal bodyguard. It was the perfect trick. Garrett had the reputation as a sword for hire, so few would bat an eye at the change of allegiance. Meanwhile, a "savage fighter" working for and being made "civil" by a "proper Imperial Lady/Admiral" would draw only praise for her mercy toward the "poor, wrenched, natives" from the Neovictorians. Combined with her power and wealth to pardon or recompense his relatively minor crimes; nothing would stand in their way. Or rather, nothing would stand in their way so long as their true relations remained discrete. Since then, the two have been together on her current command - the H.M.S. Invincible; a 40 gun, Imperial Frigate - without incident.

Name: Garrett Corvus

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Culture: Skyfolk

Background: Pirate/Mercenary

Ship: H.M.S Invincible

Appearance:

Lithe but muscular build and standing around 6'3'' in height. Has long dark grey hair with white ends which extends past the shoulders, and is often worn either loose or in a singular ponytail. He also has a goatee of a similar colour. Light red, almost pink coloured eyes. Wears a dark red long coat that has a hood to help hide his features when up; combined with his light red eyes, give him a mysterious look at times, it extends to midway down his shins.

Underneath this he wears a light coloured long sleeve shirt and a dark coloured waistcoat. His footwear consists of a pair of boots which have been reinforced with metal plate on the outside to allow additional protection, and have been strengthened to allow better resistance to falls. Garrett also wears a pair of goggles which rest atop his head when not in use; these help keep out wind and rain, but also makes it easier for him to see in harsh light.

His main weapon is a long sword with a red blade which has silver detailing; whilst the hilt has a wing like pattern, and two blue gemstones embedded in it. When fighting someone at range, Garrett uses a rifle of his own construction. It has been nicknamed Cerberus due to the three barrels, and the howling noise it makes when fired, which has been used to intimidate opponents on occasion.

Personality:

Garrett is seen as a polite person when around friends or those he cares about; a trait which he carries towards his enemies, but also sounding more ruthless as well. He is often seen to be diligent in his work, making sure everything has been dealt with first, which leads him to be tactical in a fight. Whilst he does drink, he only does so every now and then or on special occasions. Has a talent for playing the violin and guitar, but not both at the same time. Also likes to read, mainly adventure stories, but also mystery fiction.

When it comes to stuff like religion, whilst he doesn't believe in it himself, he respects those that do, seeing it as a means for people to see the world in a different light and from another perspective; although he will get annoyed when someone tries to convert him, something which will occasionally end in hostility.

Garrett's affection towards Adrianna V. E. Lanestar is a conflicting one. Whilst he does love her he knows fully well what dangers he could get himself into; being that their respective peoples are enemies, but Garrett thinks that the two of them can whether this storm, and sail off into a brighter future together. Perhaps they could be the catalyst for change, only time will tell.

Biography:

Garrett Corvus was born as the only child to a well renowned swordsman in the Sky City of Sentinel Bay, which existed in the skies above what used to be Canada. Being a child in the position that he was, there was a certain amount of expectation to be had, and Garrett certainly did not disappoint. His father was greatly impressed with his skill, and saw fit to pass down a sword that had been in his family for generations.

When he was young also, Garrett was intrigued by birds, most particularly the raven. So, given the technological prowess of the people of Skyfolk, he set about creating a mechanical raven to act as a sort of pet. This was a project that he was working on in tandem to a rifle that he was also constructing; as he had an interest in firearms, and figured that it would make a useful addition to wielding a sword. People were impressed with how he was able to create such an intricate and well designed automaton (i.e. the raven), and how for someone who was so young, he was already designing a weapon.

At about the age of 15, he finally showed off twin creations, the raven which he ironically called Corvo, flew around majestically amongst the buildings and trees, before coming to roost on his shoulder. The rifle on the other hand, he had designed with a triple barrel to hit the same target three times in a single shot. This had earned him a fair amount of reputation. Despite the popularity, he had become bored within the confines of his home, and wished to explore; something that both his parents were supportive of. Fearing that his Corvo would become damaged on his journey, he ordered it to remain home, to help keep the place safe.

In order to actually finance himself, he sold his services as a mercenary, working for various factions, both good and bad. With his skills in both swordplay and marksmanship, he earned a reputation for being a strategist, but also a cunning fighter; using his surroundings to affect the outcome in his favour. He had attracted the attention of the Empire, who labelled him as a pirate due to some of the work he did.

It was however, five years ago, that things changed...

At the time that this event occurred, Garrett was in the employ of a pirate captain known as Ramirez Salvador. The contract was a simple one, raid an Imperial escort fleet, and capture any personnel that could be used in negotiations; as several of Ramirez's high ranking crew members had been taken during a night-time raid around a week ago.

The two ships under Ramirez's command soon descended from the clouds, giving them that ghostly appearance; and with a single broadside attack, destroyed two out of the three Airships that formed part of the escort fleet, one of them even being the flagship. However, one ship the H.M.S Conquest had survived, and was heading straight towards the two pirate ships to help buy the cargo vessel some time to escape.

Unfortunately, the one that Garrett was on had evaded the pursuit, and had set about towards the cargo vessel. By the time that the first ship had been dealt with, the one that Garrett was on had already begun boarding. He could see that the H.M.S Conquest ship was closing in fast, and preparing for a counter boarding.

Once the two ships met, a close quarters brawl began, and Garrett had duelled with the woman who would not only become his rival, his future employer, and in some cases, his lover; her name being, Adrianna V.E. Lanestar. Their fight was where most of the skill was being focused on, each showing their prowess in combat. They each saw the other as their equal.

Sadly though, the tide was turning against the pirates, and their battle was cut short due to a stray cannonball that had not only torn the captain's arm off; but also made her unconscious. Before he was forced to evacuate, Garrett made sure she had gotten out alive. He hadn't heard from Ramirez afterwards, discovering that he had been killed during a battle between pirates over territory.

Over the next four years, the two would encounter one another on many occasions, with neither of them showing signs of slowing down anytime soon; and across a variety of locales. Whether it be in pitched battles across the skies, or in the pleasures of Neo-Victorian high society; the two would fight whenever they caught each other's gaze. During these events, Garrett had rather taken a shine to Adrianna, finding her to be quite attractive despite the automata arm she wore.

However, there was one incident which would bind their fates together. And it all happened one year ago. This time, it was in New Haven, and Garrett was acting as an undercover agent for some pirates working aboard the Reaper's Fury; who wanted to kidnap a high ranking Imperial Navy officer that had been causing them some trouble. His job was mainly to provide them a means of access, so they could storm the base. The pirates were aboard a single vessel, and awaited a signal. When Garrett lit the signal flare, they stormed the gates, overpowering the guards, and began to plunder all they could. With his job done, he retired to the ship that the pirate horde had come from, stopping on the way to acquire a few bits of treasure for himself.

After the pirates had returned and cast off, leaving the base ablaze, Garrett was assigned to keep watch on their prisoner. It was a mixture of shock and discovery, that it was Adrianna who had been captured. She also had a similar expression, when she discovered who her guard was. He had overheard from some of the crew, that she would be used as a means of pleasuring the crew aboard, as it had been sometime since they had female company. Since he had foolishly already been paid by the captain, his loyalty to them had come to an end.

So, doing the noble thing, he helped Adrianna escape her otherwise gruesome and debauched fate. Despite not trusting him initially, the rear admiral had no choice but to accept his help. During their escape, Garrett took a blow to the arm that was intended for Adrianna's head. Despite this, they had not only escaped without further hindrance, but also destroyed the Fury as well.

It was as they sailed away on one of the few undamaged lifeboats, that Adrianna asked why he went out of his way to rescue her. His response was that during their numerous encounters in previous years, he had grown quite accustomed to her face, finding her to be rather beautiful and attractive. By the end of it all, he had fallen in love with her. This act became the foundations for an unusual relationship; however Adrianna had a difficult problem on her hands.

Though it was apparent that her feelings for Garrett grew with each passing day, she could not reconcile them publicly with her duty to the crown. In order to keep the pair together, she hired Garrett as her personal bodyguard. Whilst he suspected that there was a grander plan behind all this, he was somewhat willing to do anything to make her happy. Being her bodyguard, combined with her money and influence; allowed many of his minor offences to be quietly and quickly dropped. With all these factors in play, nothing would or could stop them; except of course knowledge of their relationship being made public.

Since then, both have been serving under Adrianna's current vessel - H.M.S Invincible, a powerful 40 cannon, Imperial Frigate; so far without any incidents occurring, which would jeopardize things between them.

Name: Lontani Darkcloud

Age: 22
Gender: Male

Culture: Skyfolk
Background: Gadgeteer
Ship: The Mermaid

Appearance: Lontani is 6.3, slightly built but his upper body is quite well muscled, evidence of years of heavy lifting. His short dark brown hair is cut close to his scalp showing a ragged scar running about 3 inches up from above his right eyebrow drawing attention down to his dark blue eyes, which people have described as looking like the sky before a storm. He wears a pale brown leather jumpsuit, almost always open down to the waist showing a dirty vest underneath. All his clothing is blackened and scorched with plenty of burnt holes. The legs of his jumpsuit have pockets 3 running down each leg, All full of tools, trinkets, and a small handheld spy glass, with a surprisingly powerful magnification that Lontani designed and built himself. A belt tightened round the outside of his jumpsuit has a quite large, heavy looking, leather satchel hanging from the right. It holds Customised ammunition for his customised revolver Gadrick, named after his father, which hangs in a loose holster on his left

Personality: Lontani can seem very intimidating, his glare quelling people just as much as his size. But when not encountering him in dangerous or threatening circumstances, he can surprise people with his open and honest nature. He is forthright with his ideas and opinions and isn't afraid to talk with people, if he agrees with them or not. He enjoys the company of others and can clearly be heard enjoying himself from across a room with a laugh like a blocked cannon backfiring.

Biography: Lontani was born in a floating town called New Aurora and travelled often with his father who traded between the various floating towns and homesteads in the area. When he was 10 they travelled to one of the outlying towns for trade, only to find the place being raided by pirates. Climbing back into the little balloon his father used as transport, a cannonball tore into the weak frame of the cabin, killing his father and knocking Lontani out, his fading memory was of looking over his fathers torn corpse into the smoking black hole of the pirate ships cannon.
After this Lontani became obsessed. Seeing how easy a cannon can ruin not just a ship but the lives of those on board, he starting trying to figure them out, trying to understand them so he could control them. Spending his young teenage years near the docks of New Aurora, the trade crews who were lucky enough to have cannons to defend themselves showed him around them, teaching him how they work, both gunpowder based and steampowered. After stowing away on a trade ship he jumped from ship to ship, working as a deck scrubber, barrel hauler, cannon loader and then finally a fully fledged gunner.
Lontani has an sometimes discomforting connection to the cannons around him. Knowing each gun he's worked with intimately, from the perfect amount of gunpowder needed for a shot, to a clear eye as to when a gun is about to fail, or worse, misfire. And when one of his guns needs maintenance, he can sit working on it for hours, cleaning every inch of it, making sure the lock triggers spring right and the power chamber isn't clogged.
His revolver Gadrick, has been customized, its longer muzzle and wider bore let him fire a collection of personalised ammunition, Scattershot, piercing and small handmade flash shells that blind an enemy, letting him get in close.

Now, this looks like it could be fun. Here's my offering.

Name: Jason Aurora

Age: 23

Gender: Male

Culture: Skyfolk

Background: Academic

Ship: The Mermaid

Appearance: 6' 2" with a lanky build and fair skin. Brown hair and brown eyes. Even off the job, he's usually seen with his analytical goggles strapped to the top of his head and often has oil, grease, and other grime smeared on his workclothes. His clothing usually consists of a a thick leather satchel, in which he keeps his various tools and weapons, a white labcoat with the symbol for Isla Aether's primary technical university crossed out in red ink, and a heavy set of workboots.

Personality: Gruff and to the point, Jason doesn't have much time for the trivialities and banalities of day-to-day life. He has a job to do - keep this rustbucket in the air. If you're here to keep him from doing that, you're worse than waste of space.

That isn't to say he's intolerant of failure - far from it. He's taken many a novice engineer under his wing, many of whom couldn't tell the terminal side of a welding stick if they fused it to their foreheads. His ire is reserved for people who attempt to distract him from his work - drunkards who wander in and knock a piston loose, crew members who wouldn't know to shut up if you put a gun to their heads...

Despite this harsh exterior, he's fiercely loyal to the people he considers friends and compatriots, and has a special, seething hatred of people who get ahead by taking advantage of trust - whether it be his or anothers'.

Biography: Jason grew up the only child to Mary and Jack Aurora, two engineers assigned to the lofts keeping Isla Aether afloat. Valuing the education that got them the respected, well-paying position they hold, they pushed Jason to excel in his academic endeavors. He took to the workings of airships like a moth to flame, and by the time he was thirteen he was building working scale models of many smaller IAN ships. Thrilled by this talent, his parents encouraged him to enroll in the Isla Aether Skyworks - the city's premier technical academy.

After his acceptance at the usual age of seventeen, Jason breezed through his courses with little effort. His skill as an engineer and mechanic caught the attention of the Skywork's chief experimental engineer, Dr. Mark Nimbus, and after Jason graduated he rejoined the academy as a graduate student.

After two years of working alongside Dr. Nimbus and his best friend, Joseph Pascal, Jason made a huge breakthrough - he managed to develop a prototype diesel engine more fuel-efficent than current models by a factor of two! Excited, he showed Joseph and Dr. Nimbus the schematics, asking for them to be submitted to the famous Skyworks Technical Fair.

Jason got his wish - though not in the way he expected. On the day of the fair, He waited for the main presentations to begin, excited to see his hard work pay off... only to see Dr. Nimbus take credit for his work, and Joseph's rich father snap up the rights to build and distribute it. Furious with this betrayal, he swore he would one day take his revenge on Joseph and Dr. Nimbus.

That desire for revenge came when Joseph held a gala on his family's air barge to celebrate the newfound wealth 'his' discovery had given him. Jason secretly provided security information to a band of air pirates in exchange for a cut of the spoils. The raid was a resounding success, with nearly everything of value taken - including an uupdated copy of blueprints to Jason's new engine.

Unfortunately for Jason, however, a proceeding investigation discovered his involvement. Disillusioned by the state if academia and branded a criminal by his city, he fled the city. He ultimately decided to make his living out in the wilds the only way an angry Skyfolk airship engineer can - by joining up with a group of sky pirates.

He currently works as an engineer for The Mermaid, joining up after her captain graciously offered him a job after she defeated his former crew in an airship duel. No big loss, as far as he was concerned - those louts wouldn't know the bow from the stern if he didn't drill it into their heads.

"Look, girl, I know you've got a gun to my head and all, but if you don't relieve the pressure on those outlets we're both going to die - whether it'll be slow and horrible or quick and painless is one debate I'd rather not have. So, why don't you just get out of my way and let me save your sorry hide?"

-Jason, being interrogated by Winged Beth after his former crew was defeated

If we need to beef up the numbers I can also submit an Imp.

I mean, no characters have been accepted yet so it doubles my odds of getting in more than anything else XD

Well I can always switch ships but I'd have to piggyback on your story a bit Hiei. Seeing as a normal navy ship really just wouldn't work for him.

@All: Feel free to piggyback off my character if you would like, but make sure to either not deviate from my backstory or ask me to change/add things if needed (I need to know my character after all ^_^)

Well my character (if accepted) can be on either ship, since he's stowing away. I'm guessing he'll most likely end up on the Empire's one though.

Just a question to the OP, how long have we been pirating? How long have we had the ships?
The mermaid has been a pirate ship for several years, but Beth was chosen as captain, maybe a year ago. You could have been sailing with the ship for years, or recently joined.

Actually, I was thinking about having Drustan jump ship over to the Invincible. Naturally, if he's needed on the Mermaid, it shall be done, but I think the Invincible will be more fun (if harder to explain).

Ah, I'll have to change a thing or two in my sheet then. I've had a few nitpicks about it though, so it's for the best.

Well no need to worry about that from me. Nothing should require a rewrite on your end Hiei, just need to play off your character's slightly more tolerant nature to the outside world. Cause I still plan on having him "sneaking" Skyfolk medical texts aboard. Of course my character would submit to whatever limitations your character would place on his work. Though he will complain lol.
