Yeah, but it is made mostly from entries done by the people who originally played/bested it and entered in their own characters for the database.
At least, that's what I'm guessing.
How the hell else did this thing get Nova from Marvel, Azura from Elder Scrolls and Tosin Abasi from Animals As Leaders in under 15 questions? >.>

The only character I have managed to best Akinator with yet is Peter, one of two angry business men from a sketch off 'A Bit of Fry and Laurie'. He has guessed every other character i have thrown at him, including Leonard Susskind(the physicist) on the second try, Lain(from Serial Experiments: Lain) on the first and Jun Seba(Nujabes, who did most of the music for Samurai Champloo) on the first as well. I must say this has to have taken a great amount of time.

Edit: Seriously, this is disturbing hah. It guessed Prophet from Crysis with no trouble at all. Although, Mordecai from Borderlands gave it some problems.

akinator is a recurring fad on the MSPA forums, so pretty much any character tangentially related to Homestuck is going to be on complete lockdown.

last i heard, akinator could distinguish between some of the individual consorts.
