Or we could have an excuse to post the best LP ever:Uber Waddles said:Seriously. If I were part of PETA, and said "videogames condone animal violence", despite hearing nothing else from PETA confirming or denying that statement, would you report on it? Or would you just call me a lunatic.
I hope that wasn't a hint, considering I don't support or condone their actions.Lagao said:a bunch of kids and teens supporting e terrorist actions stalling the use of products for their "rebellion" against sony was really immature. EX the PSN. They have no real support and the ones that due support are mindless idiots who probably think communism works.Vanguard_Ex said:You, apparently.AnythingOutstanding said:Who cares?Snowalker said:Not trying to be a dick, but Alan Moore isn't the one who came up with that mask, its a Guy Fawkes' mask... from, well, Guy Fawkes... just go look it up.AnythingOutstanding said:You know, I liked Alan Moore's story and all but I am getting a little tired of seeing that damn mask.
I'm intrigued to see how this whole thing turns out, Anonymous' influence is pretty damn strong.
Logan Westbrook said:According to Anonymous, not only was it unacceptable that Sony had "forced" sites like YouTube and PayPal to give up personal information about people who had watched GeoHot's videos or donated money to him, it was also unacceptable that Sony was permitted to request such information in the first place.
So they believe in freedom of information but they also claim that Sony aquiring information from Youtube and Paypal is wrong.Logan Westbrook said:GeoHot's belief was in the freedom of information dissemination. We will stand with him.
Just out of curiosity, in what way have they done this? Youtube and Paypal should not have handed over that information so lightly, but is it really wrong for Sony to ask? Anyone could do that. If anything, it should serve as a strong reminder that nobody is ever "hidden" online, not even if they're on TOR.Wolfram01 said:This is going to fail. I mean the 16th thing.
I do think Sony has overstepped the boundaries of consumer "rights" (assuming people actually even have rights), but protesting won't do much.
As for not buying Sony products, I think the only one I own is my PS3 so I guess I'm good there. Oh wait I did buy my girlfriend a Sony camera just over a year ago for her bday. Ok so that's 2. But I swear that's all! =P
So you're saying they protect free speech, and also use free speech to defend themselves? I see no contradiction there, it just means they are really in favor of free speechAwexsome said:Ah, Anon. Gleefully protect the free speech and flow of information and right of privacy that benefits them and always hiding their defense behind that "free speech" when anyone ever goes after a pirating source.
