Either way, the FBI gets the emails and the member information. The fact that Anon actually made a big deal about most of this being publically available data just underscores how little security THEY use --- their only defense is to attack. And, frankly, all they did was deface a website and crack a few jokes. The worst they did was embarrass an idiot sysop who fell prey to amateur tactics --- and he'll be replaced for that very reason.thedeathscythe said:I think "Jussi" is getting fired. Also, I find this pretty amusing, especially how they put everything on thepiratebay. Sure, they leaked a bunch of secret emails, as well as the members that they "found", but I would love it if the FBI decided not to buy the information from them but just get it for free after all.
Meanwhile, the FBI has a contract with the company. They'll get paid regardless, not to mention the kind of obvious point that the FBI is not likely to trust Anon releasing information on itself. They'll want the HB data if for no other reason than cross-checking.
