From the story mode? It’s been a while but I’m curious where/who that was about, as an MK nerd mostly.
It's more a really dumb retcon to Sindel. Originally, she was a good guy who was brainwashed by the villains. In 11, she's retconned into a vampish manipulator who has sexual innuendos for half her dialogues. They also gave her a move in which she uses her butt to break the opponent's face.

Keep in mind, this is a game that had fans complaining was too puritan.

Oh yeah, that. Most fans were understandably upset at her retconned background, but at the same time it might have something to do with the complaints about all the female characters being toned down. Sindel was dlc and has the most revealing outfits of the cast by far. Even Mileena pales in comparison -

I suppose it wouldn’t seem right if a good-hearted queen dressed like that, and the inclusion of those kinds of outfits is almost certainly a response to the initial lack of them.

So I've been seeing Jim Sterlings SUPER EARLY Escapist era videos, and holy shit. Jim was always like this with the gamer politics. Jim's SECOND video was addressing sexism in video games, in 2011. (Sexism of the time being douche bag kids calling any girl player obscenities in Xbox Live games or sex ladies in video games)

Sterling has long admitted when he acted like a douchebag back in the early 2010s. I did not like them, back when they first started. I didn't start liking Sterling until really 2013. And even then I still have my doubts at times. 2014 is when he really had a new leaf and it started to show. Most people at this point know anyway, so this is nothing new.

A large but not majority part of the video games/gamers/weeb/anime culture is (edit: is bad) basically crying about people consuming stuff they don't agree with, and hatred of free speech, and creative independence.

IF there is demand for it, people will get it, so they can't ban it, so it's social/cultural warfare these prunes, sexual revolution Luddites, and puritans radical feminists waged on the content they disagree with.

Also to counter the so called sexism in video games is a gateway drug way to sexism, cool so is weed for hard drugs let's ban that too. Gateway arguments are dumb.

We now have a game called "Sex with Hitler" on steam. Right at the top of the release list.

Just from the screenshots it is...quite something. That's all I've got. I'm going to go outside and get some fresh air.

That is why some indie devs are taking EGS money, no one wants to see a sex game trending on the storefront.

Hell, most of those games are *very new*, relatively speaking.

So when author Tae Kim says (paraphrased) "Aloy represents change for the better", he's not wrong

Also, you are really scrapping the bottom of the barrel if you're bringing up Malice. Not enough non-sexy rep out there that you have to find a 5/10 development hell platformer from the xbox PS2?

That did come out on Xbox too. Hell, it was supposed to be an Xbox launch title if I remember correctly. The deal apparently never went through, and it came out a few months later after the PS2 version. I think the Xbox version has a couple of extra features, but I do not know personally.

Here is an article talking about the historical accuracy of Hitler's testicle. Is this sexism? Kotaku is the kind of clickbait complaining articles and they seem pretty ok with this game.
I call bs on this whole thing. Hitler was never anywhere near that muscular, extra nut or not.

Contrary to popular opinion, Kotaku *does* have a sense of humor.
They do, but the stigma early on goes back to their days throughout most of the 2010s. Whenever they did try to do humor, it would not land most of the time. Or try too hard to be "with it". Still happens from time to time.

What about that article makes it look like they're okay with the game?

Maybe they aren't exactly "ok" with the game as a whole. But they aren't condeming the game they way they do with other articles, especially when dealing with sexist/LBGT issues. Like when they went on a rampage about the Trans "trap" in the updated version of Catherine.

For the most part the article is talking about hitlers testicle and the tongue and cheek of it all. The end of the article then talks about how horrible Nazi's are and maybe we don't need a game about laughing at them. But it doesn't really come across to me that they have any real problem with the game overall. At worst they kind of eyeroll at it.

Then there is this article which complains about the ever increasing size of some Guilty Gear character's tits. Though in the article it isn't really clear that the character's bust is ever increasing to me. The artist drawing the character is updating the look overall. If anything it does look like her "features" are more detailed, but not particularly bigger in the grand scheme of things. Though I've never played the games and I don't care about them so I don't really know the history of how she looked through the series. But the difference here between an article about boobs and a literal Hitler article, is that the boob article spends almost the entire lengh complaining while the Hitler article doesn't really complain at all https://kotaku.com/guilty-gear-strive-baiken-arc-system-works-boobs-1848422282

Did you read the whole article? They spend the latter half rattling off antisemitism statistics, how it’s still affecting things in our society, and basically alluded to a conclusion that the game shouldn’t have been made. If they have a hierarchy of weight to apply to different topics, they just showed that they indeed apply more of it to matters involving political/hate controversies than animated boob sizes.

They included images for a reason.

Here is what she looked like in her debut
