I'll definitely be getting it day 1. It suits me to a tee thematically, and I've always liked first person stealth games (such as thief, but my monitor keeps messing with the brightness for some reason whenever I try to play my copy).

KoA:R didn't get patched because the studio got shut down before the game came out, NOT because of bad sa
Er... no? 38 studios shut down after Reckoning came out because of financial problems, which more sales could have solved.
Well then I heard wrong. I remember hearing that they closed down before the game came out. or maybe you heard wrong.
Edit :No no I heard wrong. sorry

It's rather likely I'll get it, probably a few weeks after release. I'll be looking for depth of gameplay, good story, and dialogue options. At this point I really need to know more.

At the mid part of this year i had a choice, Assassins Creed 3 or Dishonoured, now i am not sure how well this debut title for Arkane is going to be, plus i am a MAD fan of the story line of AC so far, so i was pumped for both games but ended up only pre-ordering AC

i get the unshakable feeling that this game (from watching the trailers) plays alot like a game i didn't personally like which was Dark Messiah might and magic, forgettable story, unlikable characters and a pretty broken interface. im pretty sure Dishonoured will not be like this but that feeling is still there, so who knows

I may or may not. It depends on one thing: Difficulty. I think stealth-based games should be very difficult. Or maybe "punishing" is the better word. After all, where's the tension in stealth when you know you can easily fight your way out of any situation? My gut tells me that Dishonored will be easy. But if I'm wrong, I'm on board.

This is actually pretty funny. Dishonored isn't Arkanes debut title (That would be Arx Fatalis from 2002) and their second title actually was Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. So, if you didn't like that it might be worth waiting and seeing before ;P

Unless some really big damn red flag gets raised, I'm getting it as soon as possible. Regardless of how it turns out, the design and artistic philosophy deserves my financial support.

Seriously people, complain all you want to about tons of copy-pasted brown shooters topping the charts, but if games like Dishonored don't sell well, it's not going to change.

Eh, I'll be waiting a few weeks before I even think about it. Give 'em some time to work out a few bugs, and get the Internet's general opinion on the game, utterly discard it and watch Youtube videos to decide.
Good plan no?

Yeah, I'll be getting it.

I've been waiting for a new game to kill my time with, and Dishonered seems to be just my cup of tea.

Been excited for this game for a while now, I really hope it doesn't disappoint.

I played it at gamescom and it was really fun. Graphics looked a bit "meh" but maybe it was an earlier build and the Blink mechanic was kinda OP. In one mission you had to knock out a guy and bring him to somewhere. You could just Blink your way to the top of the building the guy was in, knock him out and blink back to the "finish line". Since you got a lot of weapons and abillities to your disposal the demo I played was a bit overwhelming but I guess you dont get all of the powers at once.

Yeah, I intend on getting it. Knowing me though, I'll be picking it up roughly about a month or two after it's release. There are a couple of other games I've been meaning to get before it.

Of course i'll be buying it.

It's down as one of only 2 games i'll be buying in the near future (the other being Last of Us).

I'm definitely going to be picking up Dishonored, and it will probably be the first game this year I purchase on release (or a few days post release). I've had to be really good with my money, and considering they still seem quite expensive, gotta be careful.

But I'm quite enthusiastic seeing a variety of articles on it. I feel like it'll be something I can get fully absorbed in for a good few weeks. Need distractions anyway!
