pretty lame death imo.
i wanted him to be eaten alive by wolves then said wolves burned alive.
yes, it pissed me off when he turned evil in warcraft 3.

also it's annoying that 6 years later he dies only to be instantly replaced by another baddie..so everything was for nothing then.
awesome...

MMO Champion is notorious for data mining WoW. I don't know the first thing involved, but it seems really really easy. It's like Blizzard keeps its secrets in a cookie jar laying in plain sight.

Pretty sure the whole "binding himself in ice" means that he's not going to be a recurring villain, at least not for a very, very long time.

I still reckon the job should have gone to Darion or Thassarian.

Let me get this straight:

World of Warcraft has a plot?
It jumps. SO MANY TIMES.From being a peoples Hero to going to the out lands and defeating the terrible orc's or what the fuck they are. then to the lynch king to battle the scourge then to the upcoming expansion.

Your guys a damn demi god</i.

WoW will never be the same.

I hope they make real expansions again, not this half assed "five level increase" cataclysm mini-expansion bullshit. It better not mean there will be no 10 level expansions again

EDIT:

This was like the biggest moment in WoW history, couldn't they have made a beautiful video like the WotLK trailer? They were fine with putting that file in our directories, so it shouldn't be a memory size thing.
Speak for youself anyone unhappy win cataclysm clearly doesn't understand how huge of an expansion it is.

Also if it was me I would prefer a 0level increase expac. I hate leveling

I might not know anything about the lore in Warcraft, but I can see giving a crown to a guy with flaming eyes as being a very problematic solution...
Well, the fact that you dont know WoW lore is a given that you probably arent right, because Fordragon (who was a palidan and regent king of stormwind for a while) was kept alive by the red dragonflight's (the dragonflight of life) flame and his devoutness for the light. Tirion gave him the crown because Fordragon is a very good guy, and since the lich king represents death but fordragon is life, then the struggle for dominance of the true lich king could go on until the end of time.
"Probably aren't right" :p

Makes a lot more sense now :D

No.

There are no other MMOs.

Well, Final Fantasy 14 might be good, since Square rarely releases a "safe sequel", always changing everything between FF games.

I really love the Lore in WoW...too bad I hate leveling in it with a passion.
Guess my level 38 Mage will just sit to rot.

I think they should have picked a random player from the raid group to be the next lich king, which would start a game mechanic where all the players in the game can attack whoever is the lich king so that they can become him.

Nice, nice. Not sure why they didn't give it to the undead race, to free them seems it would be a nice thing to do, sure would help diplomatic situations better, undead-"we demand more land" humans-"freed your race" *waves them off*.

I hate watching Blizzard butcher their story for the sole purpose of ushering Cataclysm. Ner'zhul would never accept another host; he chose Arthas before Arthas was even born. Also, Tirion knows that the only thing keeping the Scourge from killing everything is ARTHAS!
It makes no sense to cut the leash of a rabid dog, so why take away the one thing that restrains Ner'zhul?

And ya, I always thought that the Warcraft characters were deeper than people gave them credit for. Who was that character that people keep saying Arthas is a ripoff of?
I agree, for pulp fantasy it's actually got a bit of bite to it. I've always enjoyed Warcraft's story, derivative as it is.

And I think you mean Kerrigan, a Starcraft villain.

No, I think it was a Shakespeare character, Macbeth perhaps.
But him and Kerrigan are very different. Arthas became a mindless slave who wanted to free his master while Kerrigan started manipulating people to take revenge on those that caused her to become infected.

I am unhappy about changing the Azeroth we know and love, I am unhappy with them recycling old dungeons as new heroic content, and I am unhappy with the 5 level increase.

Come on, you can't possibly argue that it is as big as the last two expansions

From the Cinematic Art of WotLK book... it takes a very, very, long time to make the full CGI movies. I have no idea, but I'm pretty sure that Blizzard's CGI department is busy working on Cataclysm.

Whatever, seriously I stopped careing long ago when I found out that to get into the high end raids your soul had to be given up as payment...
I play like... 5, 6, hours a week tops, and I have no problem progressing through Icecrown with my guild. The game's endgame is way more accessible now than it's ever been.
I can appreciate that they're busy, and that it is a tremendous undertaking, but dang, that was the BIGGEST thing that happened lore related in the entire history of WoW.

If that doesn't get them to make an in game CG, nothing will.
