Couldn't one just pre-order 5, then return the ones they don't want immedatly after they come out?
It says pre-order AND buy. So no, unfortunately they saw that one coming.
Well, you could still buy them, then go back the next day...
Yeah, I guess, but it would seem mighty suspicious. Oh well, if you wanna try it then go ahead and see if it works.
You can't return games/software 90% of the time, at any retailer. You can usually only exchange it for the same title. And do you not think that they've already thought that people would try to do this, and come up with a counter for it?

If this was down under, you would be out of pocket paying $500 (assuming we are talking PC) for 5 games (console prices would be $600 for 5), only to get $100 of free stuffs? well you could probably get all that loot from steam for cheaper

Sadly, this is only for the console versions of games (check the actual Best Buy site...only console versions are part of this promotion). There is no way I would play Battlefield 3 on anything but PC.

Too bad I'm only interested in 4 of those games. Besides, I wouldn't want to sign up for this Reward Zone BS, just more garbage e-mail to receive.

Y'know I might consider this if I was looking forward to 5 or more games from that list. But since the only games from that list are limited to Skyrim and Revelations, it'd be a waste.

Even if I pre-ordered Arkham City for my friend that'd only leave me with 3.

Besides, if I got all those games I wouldn't NEED $100 to spend on other stuff because between those two games I'd already be good for a whole year of play I bet. lol

I keep preordering games on Amazon, and keep getting $20 credit I use on another game I preorder which again gives me another credit. $40 games plus free release date delivery, why would I ever go to a store? Plus you don't have to pay to preorder and you can cancel the order at anytime up until it is shipped.

As long as you have the receipt and the game is unopened within 30 days you can return it for a full refund almost anywhere. Most places will accept it even if the game was opened. However the promotion for best buy will only give you the $100 credit 35 days after the last game was purchased, at that point, it is to late to return any of the games.

Skyrim, Rage, and Uncharted 3 are the only ones on that list I really want, and I'm going for the collector's editions of each one, if some have them. Battlefield 3 and Forza 4 I'll wait to see how good they are before paying for them.

Even with the credit to be gained, I would still go to Gamestop for these titles. I have better relations with the company as an ex-employee, and to be honest, my stores are more pleasurable to be in while game shopping.

Skyward Sword, Skyrim, and Arkham City (which ruins the sky theme), are the only ones I know for sure I'm getting, and even then I only have enough money on me to get one of them.

Just keep rubbing salt into the wound, America? $200 for 5 new games is pretty good and there are 4 on that list I'd get - but I've never seen a Best Buy in Australia and the math here would end up being $400.

Steam, it is!
That or Ozgameshop [http://ozgameshop.com]. Depending on what you want.

True, but they're cheap as hell.

This would have been a good deal for me, if I was an American. I'm getting Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Uncharted 3, Rage and Assassins Creed Revelations anyway. That would have saved me a good amount of money

Amazon tends to give to $20 off your next preorder per game. Notice how that's the same deal. Amazon also tends to charge around $10 to $5 less than list price. Go with amazon. You get release day shipping for free most of the time too.

On top of that if you're a reward zone gaming club memeber you get 10 bucks for every 150 dollars you spend in certificates as well. So that's an additional 20 bucks in certificates in 35 days.

This just in: putting down money for a game that you will get in months assuming no delays at a time when no one has played it other than the devs is such an objectively bad idea stores will pay you for it.
