Yeah, Kreia was great. The cryptic-as-hell thing is so played out, it's near impossible to do right, but she nailed it.

Definitely. Theresa tries to do this in Fable II but just can't get it right due to Kreia being far more philisophically interesting.

True, although I liked Theresa in the original (haven't played Fable II, and no one will give me a straight answer on if they're the same person), one of the only characters in that game with any depth.

Lara Croft. I was on the menu for the anniversary game and I swear they put in an arm stretching thing for her to do just so they could make her boobs jiggle... it's almost... hypnotic...

Anyway yeah, beats a load of the others that some people are saying because you actually play as her. Seriously, who cares about cortana? I swear halo fanboyism can be cured with something called variety.

Also, she's like a woman version of the prince of persia we all know and love except not a pussy because instead of time travelling daggers she has guns.

Plus, there's another animation where she slaps her arse...

The Boss from Snake Eater, Yuna from FFX (her quiet strength is cool to me, and being able to summon monsters is pretty cool too), I like Alyx and Jade too. Tifa Lockheart from FFVII grew on me after a while. Yorda from Ico. I know she's a non entity, but I really liked her.

Good choice. If nothing else, she was great because she had two completely different sets of personality depending on your choices - something that's often promised, but rarely delivered. I really liked Linu from the original NWN as well.

Aerie from Baldur's Gate.
Yeah she was a bit whiny, but Jaheira had this self-righteous air about her that just irked me. Always going on about balance and all that crap. Yeah, no thanks. I'll stick with the naiver, yet adorable Cleric/Mage.

Aerie, ugh. She was so... sensitive. And whiny, yeah, good choice of words. I'll agree with your comment about Jaheira as well, she just wouldn't stop critizising everything I did. Viconia was just so randomly vicious, which got a little annoying after a while. Imoen was the one I liked the most, actually. She managed to be vulnerable without becoming needy and whiny like Aerie, as well as independent and strong without becoming callous or self-righteous like Viconia and Jaheira. She also had a refreshing sense of humour, and was loyal no matter what. A shame the story prevented her from being one of the romance-options rather than the three others.

Kerrigan.

Hah, didn't even think of her. I was too snowed-in on the RPGs. Yeah, also a good one. I liked her character development through the story, made her feel alive, sort of. I also felt very sorry for her at one point, which is always a good sign that a character's well done.

let's see it's a tough call....Alyx Vance (half-life), Ivy Valentine (had me at 'squirm!', 'strangle!', and 'entwine'), practically all the main female characters from mass effect (take off your damn armor Tali, even if she does get sick), Samus, and Master Chick (Haloid). It's almost impossible to choose who THE best is. So i won't

Okay okay. I say All three female characters from Final Fantasy VI: Terra/Tina Branford, Celes Chere, and Relm Arrowny. Then there's Yuna, Riku and Lulu from Final Fantasy X. Paine from X-2 was pretty badass too.
