Ada from RE4. She has something mysterious about her. You are never really sure what side she's on. From a gameplay perspective she is more vulnerable than most of the guys (health meter, less crowd control in her melee attacks) but she is also unmistakably bad ass! She runs faster than anyone and her sniper rifle/TMP combo definitely works for me!!
Faith from Mirror's Edge: some of the same reasons as Ada. Awesome skills but also VERY vulnerable. I mean Faith dies when someone as much as coughs on her. But that just means that she (meaning you, the player) has to be that much more determined. Her character (like Ada's) comes through the gameplay, more than the story!
