Oblivion really is the greatest at this.
I was playing the Shivering Isles expansion when i came across this small ruin. Not much treasure in it but i saw a button, pressed it and fell through a HUGE hole, the longest drop in the game i soon found out!
Not my weirdest though, that would be the monks robe that just appeared one day in the water if you went near i certain spot...
Too many moments to remember! Ahh...

Are some of the random encounters scripted in Fallout 3? Anyways, I was in Jefferson Memorial (Or whichever one it was you are sent to in Wasteland Survival Guide) and I raided an egg pile. As usual, 3 Mirelurks came out and attacked me. Turns out, the Talon Mercenaries spawned as well and the Radroaches joined. It started a battle between me and the 3 groups. Kinda epic, didn't expect a 4 way fight to occur right there.

I was playing Medieval Total War 2: Kingdoms, as the Spanish vs. the Aztecs.

I had this small Spanish army with about 3 horse units and some infantry, and I was facing about 3 Aztec armies with about 20 units each. Their emperor and his two sons (last ones remaining) were on the field. I immediately knew that my infantry would be no match for the enemy, so I sent them off the field (In case of a defeat I would have a back-up) and decided to just utilize my Calvary. What followed was an hour long battle in which I would constantly run away from the Aztec armies, tiring them and opening up gaps in their flanks. I would then send 1 unit of Calvary straight to their general units in a mad attempt to kill the general in one charge. If that failed, I would try and retreat without getting overwhelmed. Man, that battle was intense, I knew if I lost, I was screwed. Anyways, I did manage to kill their Emperor and his sons, and the full strength armies just routed, like that...Most satisfying Victory ever.

Successfully launching a massive pincer attack on my mate in a massive online battle in Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.

I sent a small raid party to annoy him and he started to chase them which lead him to one of my ally's bases. My mate attacked the base and while doing so I sent a large force from my mate's side flank and another large froce just north of his attack force which was cleverly hidden just far enough so it would be in his fog of war. So he had my ally in front of him, one of my attack forces attacking his left flank and another attack force coming from the north while he attacked my ally. The northern attack force circled around and eventually surrounded him.

Good times.

You fap while gaming?

OT: In League of Legends i ended up caught by 3 guys when alone in the jungle as Olaf. They were pretty fed, but the fun part is that all throughout the latter half of the fight my hp was at about 5-15%. I won that, by the way. About 10 seconds after it, the rest of the enemy team decided to gank me, but by then my own team had gotten there as well. We enjoyed an easy Ace and pushed the last few towers, winning the match.

Anything from Bad Company 2. Seriously, I have so many 'battlefield moments' in that game.
Once I was in my spawn sniping at the defenders in rush, and our chopper was hovering above me. It must have been a bad chopper pilot because he began to sway, lost altitude and the tail rotor damn near took my head off. Thank fuck I crouched in time, it was insane.

Once while playing online on GTA4 at a friends house with random other people I found myself riding down a motorway while being chased by a police helicopter being piloted by the other players shooting at me with machine guns. I'm not sure how it happened but it was awesome.
yeah that happened to me, me and two friends were all on bikes riding away from 12 other players, this included 2 helicopters and loads of cars all chasing us, was like something out of a movie

Fallout New Vegas: The hipster chick Veronica and I were trudging through the quarry, high level, bearing power armor, fighting the Deathclaws. We're overwhelmed, fighting three at once, one slashes Veronica's face. She stumbles back, saying "Make sure they bury me...in a nice dress." She was immediately cut down after she said this and I wasn't even sure I had heard her say it because it sounded so human. I didn't last very long without her, so we tried the run again and won, but I haven't heard her say it since.

There has been a lot in my time! One of the best I can remember was on Star Wars: Battlefront 2.
I was playing on the kashyyyk beach level on the same side as my step-bro, against the empire (which was controlled by the computer).
At one point in the fight I died, and respawned near some speederbikes. Eager to get back into the action I leapt on one and sped off to the area I'd just died in. Seconds later I see the enemy, one regular stormtrooper in particular directly in front of me and a logn way from any cover. Obviously I gunned the speederbike straight at him, with a view to running him over.

What followed was the slickest, most badass thing I've ever seen a computer do. He simply side-stepped my bike, and as i went shooting past him, he deftly placed a sticky grenade onto the bike itself. All in one fluid action; all without even bothering to look at me.

My thoughts at the time went along the lines of 'Yaarrrh! I'm gonna run you down' to 'oh crap he dodged!' and then (upon noticing the glowing red orb stuck to my bike) to 'oh s***!'

boom.

Even though he killed me it was awesome to behold :p

I don't really know if it was scripted or not, it seemed too cool to be just a random chance of luck. But anyways, I'll try to describe the situation as best I can. I was playing Saint's Row 2, and there was a chase sequence involving guns and fast cars. I had messed up and allowed the opponent to get pretty far, and I was certain I was going to lose the mission. I was approaching a T-intersection with high speed. Beyond the T-intersection was a steep hill with a walking path snaking along it. And it was a pretty steep, tall hill too, going downwards. Below the hill was another T-intersection, continuing straight forward.

Everyone get the picture? T-intersection, downwards hill, second T-intersection. So I drive towards the first T-intersection with max speed, just not caring about the mission anymore. My car bumps into something, I dunno whether it was the sidewalk or a small rock, and flies high into the air. My car is spinning forwards, doing like five flips during this brief moment of airtime, while the hill passes by me below. Then I land on all four wheels on the next intersection and continue driving as if nothing happened. I even completed the mission.

And it pisses me off immensely that there was no one to see it happen.

I'm sure I'll think of more soon, but for now here's two:

1) Whilst playing RDR with my cousin online (in that place where all the bears spawn), two guys attacked us whilst driving an wagon. Selected a Molotov Cocktail, yelled "You want my opinion? You gotta lighten up" down the mic, and watched them simultaneously scream in agony, and roll off dead. Fun

2) I started a riot in the Imperial City after being caught pick-pocketing. At one point a woman ran around a corner to punch me, and got OHKO by a gaurds arrow. It then turned into civilians verses guards. Fun!

mine was in fallout:NV during Cassidy's main quest where you had to 'take care of' the chick that runs crimson caravans. anyway i decided to attack from stealth with a throwing axe to the head. The axe decapitated her and her head landed perfectly in her lap. that'll teach the *****.

Halo multiplayer. Playing a on a map in a new mode (so I was playing with newbies at the same experience level, since Halo 3 had different levels for each mode) - it was a slayer free for all. At first everything seems normal then some guy starts racking up quite a few kills. I discover that this is because he was in a banshee.

So I jump up, sky-jack him, and start my own spree. It was quite funny because once I one-upped this guy by getting an even bigger kill spread all the guys just stopped and pointed guns up to the sky. It's refreshing to seem team-work and people putting aside their differences for the common good (even if the "common good" is trying to blow up my banshee with me in it).

Oblivion, I will set the scene. My Orc character was causally walking through the Imperial City when I was attacked by those Mythic Dawn assassins. That part is obliviously scripted. What happened next is the best thing. Two guards attack the assassin with broadswords and begin killing him. After a few swings the assassin is dead but one guard swiped his sword one more time and hit the other guard. For some odd reason the guard must have thought the other guard was attacking him so he fought back. Soon enough it turned into a street brawl were over 12 guards were fighting each other, 6 on each side. After about 10 minutes of fighting on side eventually won with one guard left alive. The best thing was that after the fight the one guard left looks around and says "Theres been a murder here". Never laughed so hard.
oh oblivion A.I you never cease to amaze me..

Age of Empires II: I always played skirmishes and one time I was fighting four AI with massive armies against me (because my AI team was dead) and I won.

Minecraft: I started digging a mineshaft and then woke up the next day and saw three creepers near my unfinished mineshaft, I lured one towards it and it fell in. I lured the second one towards it and I fell in. I lured the third one towards it and knocked it in, they were still alive so I used a bucket of water, drowned two and killed the last one with my sword.

My best gaming moment was probably on hard difficulty MW2 coop mission where you have to defend so many rounds in some burger joint well it was the end of a round so my friend runs out to collect a minigun turret when the next round starts and he gets shot so I have the choice of either waiting for him to bleed out and fail or run out and save him, so I run out and theres just a hail of bullets and explosions from gunships the UAV and BMP's I manage to destroy the gunship with a grenade launcher and reach my friend so I could give him the healing kick of life run back to the burger joint and still finish the mission.

GTA IV: A friend and myself decided that we wanted to try online freeplay. The idea was to see how long we can survive a police chase with one of use driving and the other firing at the cops. I the first to drive with my friend in the shotgun position, literally, in my choice of vehicle for this type of gameplay. A nice, heavy truck.

After about five minutes of the cops chasing us, I noticed another player had joined the game at some point. We had forgotten to password the game, so anyone could join. Granted, this was the PC version so there weren't many players looking to play online. Thinking nothing of it, we continued on.

Sometime later, we had collected a good number of cops and my friend -- who had unbeknownst to me, decided to take a few shots without her gun-- was firing drunkenly at the police. I was focusing on the road ahead when I spotted a motorcycle in the oncoming lane jump the median and head right for me. I swerved, taking a glancing blow and sending the rider flying. I look behind me, only to see this flying person smack right into the oncoming police and cartwheel over my pursuers. Then, his skidding bikes hits the lead cars, sending them flying. I slow down so I can continue to watch as a few of the police cars flip and the others pile up. I assume what happened next was my drunken friend got a good shot off. A cop car exploded, followed by another and another until the ten or so that had been chasing us were nothing more than several charred wrecks in the middle of the street.

The other player, after seeing what we were doing, decided that he wanted to ruin our fun by wrecking us. In a fit, he leaves the game. Just to top off the situation, my friend pipes up with "What the bloody hell was that?!?" over voice chat. Unable to answer, I sped away laughing so hard there were tears in my eyes. The thing is, I couldn't see where I was going now and after a few seconds I hear my friend yell "look out!" just as I plow into a lamppost, killing us both.

No other unscripted moment has ever come close to that.
