Easy one, our squad's best fight (that I was part of) on Chromehounds.

It was 4 of us vs 4 japanese guys. I was a commander mech, doing radar operation, communications linking and base defence. Another guy was with me, in an artillery mech. The other 2 were basically driving tanks.

I directed the two tank guys into the entire enemy team, where they killed 3 for no loss. The last enemy (a scout mech) tried to attack our base in desperation after running from the fight, only to run into our NPC mechs, my triple cannon and the artillery mech. It was funny.

This was semi scripted

I was essentialy exploring Fallout 3 and this guy runs up to me and tells me something along the lines of "run! its going to explode!". not knowing what was happening i followed him and he suddenly blew up.

CoD: I tossed a grenade back at someone, & it exploded just as it hit them in the face.

Age of Empires: I fired a ballista at the ground on the other side of the map, & just before it landed, they started building a wonder there, so when it landed it only had a few HP & it was destroyed. This gave me enough time to start building my own, so I won the match.

Didn't happen to me, but during development on Mass Effect 1, a coworker was testing a combat encounter on the Citadel. He told his companions to move to a location and fire back, but for some reason Wrex ended up moving away from the enemies and out of the area, as if he was running away (A krogan running away, nonsense!)

Ok, whatever, he thinks, bug in the pathfinding system, game is still being worked on, maybe missed a path node somewhere. Combat continues.

Then all of a sudden, the doorway the enemy opponents were hiding behind explodes from the shotgun Carnage ability - the bodies go flying everywhere, every one was dead from the attack.

And Wrex strolls in all nonchalantly from the doorway, just another day in the life of a krogan warrior. Apparently Wrex path found his way around the whole level and ended up circling around behind the enemies.

Of course once path finding was tweaked it never happened again, but I swear, I wish we had kept it in and gotten Wrex to say a line after it, like "Next." or "We're done here." as he rests his shotgun on his shoulder. :D

Quite a few with Just Cause 2.

Racing down the road in a military jeep with the heat on. Saw another jeep heading right towards me. So, I hit the A button and parachute out. The jeeps collide and BOOM!

Causing havoc in a tank. A soldier on a ATV stops, gets off, and shoots at me. I point my turret at him. As if realizing how stupid it is to take on a tank with a shotgun, he tries to hop back on his ATV. I fire the main cannon and he, and his ATV, vanish. A few moments later, what remains of his ATV falls from the sky followed shortly after by him.

Causing more havoc in a tank. Blowing up a few soldiers causing a civilian to get out of his car and run away down the road. He gets hit by another car and knocked right in my path. Squish! Rico says, "Got damn, crazy pedestrians!"

Here's a couple from Oblivion.

I was doing the quick quest of getting the stolen potatoes from the Orge. I catch up to the ugly thing. I summon a skeleton, and I swear without stopping, he obliterates the skeleton with a backhand. It was like, "Get out the way, b!+ch."

Then there was the time I came across the bodies of a Legion soldier, his horse, and two bandits. I was wonder what the hell happen? I turn around and see this yellow glow start to surround me. It was a Will-of-the-Wisp. One of those things had killed a Legion soldier, a horse, and two bandits. Damn, those things are deadly. Until they meet me with my fire-imbued sword that is.

And here's one from the past, the original Gran Turismo.

I was messing around and entered the 4WD cup in a car called a Pulsar. It's basically a compact car with 4WD. I was fairly out matched the last two races. Just couldn't keep up with the guys ahead of me. I got 4th place in the first race, and 3rd in the second. However, it was possible to me to still win the cup if I got 1st in the last race because the placing of the AI cars was different each race.

I start the last race not really expecting to win. It's the Clubman track. I find myself able to stay with the other cars. It was a close race with position changes constantly. One the last turn on the last lap, I was able to pass the guy in first (on the outside no less) and stay ahead long enough to cross the finish line. First place, and I won the cup with the slowest 4WD car in the game.

AVP. Infestation on Gateway with eighteen people.

All hell has broken loose. The position is overrun. The marines lie dead on the ground. The xenos rejoice victory. And then...

"LAST MAN STANDING!"

Far away, in a pit in a cave, a terrified Kaneko sits, pulse rifle in hand. He hears the awful silence, the horrible waiting for the horde.

Ten seconds: Ping!
Eight seconds: PING!
Five seconds: PING! PING! PING PING!
Two seconds: BWEEP! BWEEP! BWEEP! BWEEP! A xeno sticks his head around the corner.
In the last second of the match, ten xenos rush the curve, trying for all they are worth to kill me. I don't even fire, I just say into party chat: "I win..."

That was the best last man standing I've ever had.

third or fourth time I played AC brotherhood multiplayer I was put in a match with all these really annoying "I'm a level 40, I'm gonna kill you a million times" wankers, who all had their headsets on and sounded about 8 years old.

End of game, 23 assassinations 0 deaths to me!

Ha!

I have a fun moment to share.

Playing Fallout 3, I decided to explore the west end of the map. First time playing and I discovered the eerie and notorious Dunwich Building, known for 'bad mojo', after first traveling south through the crevice due only a few meters east of the F. Scott Key Trail & Campground, the Campground being located north-west of the Dunwich Building and the crevice located north of the Building.

After completing my scavenging of the ruins, I emerged onto the night-fallen Wasteland and proceeded to hook west of the building and enter the campsite to the north. Calm so far, and everything seemed to be going swell. Until the weird sequence of events occurred.

I noticed a mole rat charging at me as soon as I arrived at the campgrounds, so I whipped out my trusty hunting rifle, a well maintained one at that. Mole rats were simple pests at this level threshold I had reached, and this one was no exception. Of all creatures of the Wastes, Mole Rats were now easy kill at this point.

Before I could fire off a shot, a Yao Guai spontaneously appeared from my peripheral vision, and I focused my attention on the larger, more threatening target on instinct. The Yao Guai had targeted the Mole Rat and had killed it in a single swoop. I knew the hunting rifle was no match against the brute, so I switched to the reliable SMG, but not without being penalized by a fresh hit from the powerful creature. I was at half health, and I took caution by using the environment to my advantage by jumping over some chest-high rocks nearby in the hope it would slow it down.

Then the amazing happened.

A Deathclaw appeared out of my peripherals, like the last creature had, and targeted and killed the Yao Guai in two swipes of its powerful claws, then began to charge at me at full speed. I knew my only option at this point was to run and no weapon I had with me at that moment would be able to effectively take it down before it would tear me to shreds. I was involved in a crazy hijinks of an incomprehensible caliber where I knew I was going to die, but I ran anyway. All that was going through my head was "I am royally screwed" while laughing heartily at the events that had unfolded before me, and I was too shocked to even shoot.

Of course, the frosting on the cake came when I was smacked by the Deathclaw in the face while moving backwards in an attempt to gain ground, and of course, I died.

A short rag-doll tumble down a hill, a disengaged arm rolling alongside my body, the death of a good, yet deadly (Not anymore XD) samaritan, and me laughing very hard while looking back to what just happened are the end result of 30 seconds of silliness.

I love this game.

EDIT: After a little digging around, I now realized the Mole Rat, Yao Guai, and Deathclaw do indeed spawn there in a scripted event.

Still, I am proud to say this is one my favorite 'spontaneous' videogame moments.

Starship Troopers Multiplayer.

There was absolutely nothing like facing an oncoming horde of bugs that would eventually overwhelm you and slaughter you and your buddies down to the last man.

I guess I really love the "Last Stand" moments of games where you fight, fight, fall back, fight, fall back, fight. Until you eventually run out of defences and are forced to hang on til you die/get rescued. Its why the reach ending is probably the best way a game has ever ended for me at least.

Sometime in the 1200s my valiant Welsh surrounded the English fortress of Nottingham, we were outnumbered, out gunned and out of our element, and enemy reinforcements were en route. I new if i were to take victory i had to act fast, luckily the spy managed to get the gates open, I charged in many fell in the charge but still we went on. The town center was in sight. We went in, in to a real meat grinder battle, in the end it came town to 12 out of ammo archers against 18 armored swordsmen, the archers charged, the swordsmen fell, Wales took Nottingham.

My evul LW Electra was walking down a desert road in Fallout 3 with the companion Jericho when he spots a bloatfly and starts shooting madly at it. Wouldn't be a problem only his bullet hits a ruined car which explodes in a mushroom cloud setting off a whole row of ruined cars and then a bus.

I turn around and look at him he holsters his weapon and says 'I forgot how fucked up everything was out here'

completely random sequence of events but to this day sticks in my mind as purely awesome.

in red faction gorilla i was being attacked by a gunship while planting charges in an edf base
so i pulled out the nano-dissolvo rifle and shot 1 of the wings off the gunship, which then spiraled into the bases' main building and exploded,
setting off several charges, fuel tanks/silos and vehicles in the process and destroying most of the base
i got out of cover to pick up the salvage and saw the only survivor of the explosion trying to get up and capped him with single assault rifle round
then 3 apc's showed up and shot me to pieces :(

Also, the first time I successfully pulled off the Archon toilet. It was an unranked 3v3, and wiped out one and a half armies (hey, their fault for decided to run wholesale through a choke point).

I swear that was the stupidest freaking nerf in Blizzard history. That strategy was the epitome of awesome but impractical, and people who let Protoss live long enough and macro hard enough to access it deserved to lose in the most humiliating and ignominious way possible.

I got quite a few.

On SSBB online, it was me and someone else in a sudden death (I think you both have a lot damage straight away) on a retro donkey kong stage. We were both keeping our distances, I made the first move, accidentally hit something on the stage that hurt me and set my body at the other guy which sent him straight off the map. Felt good.

So many GTA IV moments...

Ah, now to the best part; my friend's damn funny deaths on Bad Company 2. On Harvest Day, a explosion went off which sent a bench flying at him, killing him. On Arica Harbour, I parked a HUM V on a hill and mounted the machine gun. I spotted an RPG coming at me so I got out, barely surviving the explosion. My friend was stood next to me so the car flipped in the air and crushed him. On Port Valdez a mortar strike knocked over a tree which squished him. On Valparaiso we got in a chopper to drop ourselves off on top the lighthouse. When I jumped out, I watched him jump out and get hit by the empty chopper and his body do a funny rag doll spasm which put me in hysterics. All the same friend. We laugh whenever we talk about it.

Another Bad Company 2 moment with the same friend was when we were playing Oasis and decided to move up and arm the objectives while creating a thick screen of smoke with our smoke launchers (very effective btw :D).

Last one (I could probably remember waaaaaaaay more) I will mention is on Gears 2 was when me and a friend were playing on the Guardian mode, he was the leader and I was protecting him. He had planted some grenades on nearby walls. Can't remember it so well but I think what happened was a enemy charged us, I threw a grenade at him causing my friend's grenades to blow up, killing my friend (I killed myself too) who couldn't respawn because he was the leader. I had died literally right before him so I still respawned :D Lots of lols afterwards :D

I can think of one in Bad Company 2, on Laguna Alta. I was playing scout, hanging out on the south side of the farm spotting enemies as they came out of the lumber yard and calling down artillery strikes. The US had the path out of the Russian deployment zone locked down, so the only viable spawn for RU was the lumber yard and I was doing a good amount of damage just doing my thing. They finally started to get bold, running out into the open so I thought I'd take a potshot at the guy on point figuring there was no way in hell I'd get him, but at least I'd make him think twice about what he was doing. Nope, headshot from across the map, and everybody following him either ran back into the lumber yard or dove for cover killing the counteroffensive on the spot. I got like 600 points for it in total if I remember right.

COD4.
Search and destroy on bloc, score: 3-3
My team was defending and i was the only one left, while the attacking team still had 4 players.Luckily they planted the bomb right around the corner from me, so i run around see 2 of them, throw a flashbang which bounces off one of them then blinds them both, i blast them with my trusty M16, then their 3rd player runs right by me, so i shove my knife where the sun dont shine. Theres about 20 secs left and one guy on their team, i go around the last corner and there is a tense 5 secs while im edging towards the bomb, then out of the corner of my eye i see his shadow cast across the wall by one of the burning barrels he was crouched behind a small inlet right beside me, so i edge around and pump 3 bullets into his head before he could react, then i make a mad dash for the bomb, start defusing, it was so close that i didnt know if i would make it, but i got the defuse with a fraction of a second remaining, everyone in the game saw the whole situation unfold and we won the match, all my mates in party chat were going mental, i had a massive adrenalin rush and i was like, this is why i love gaming so much!
