Bethesda...use the darned money from Horse Armor and update a patch to FO3 so I can play it on my Win7 PC >:|
Yours isn't working? 3 works fine on my 7 PC.
Works for 5 minutes then FO3 crashes, none of the code rewriting tips I get from forums work, nor does the unofficial patch either =/

I bought horse armor ;_;

Why do you make me feel so stupid Andy? Why are you so mean to me?
As did I my friend. It is a gaudy piece of animal bling sold to me on the argument of "Keep your horse from dying." I had problems keeping my horse alive and still do to this day in Red Dead Redemption.

Rockstar please make horse armor for Red Dead Redemption.

I bought both versions of the armor, I prefer the daedra armor, all dark and evil looking. It was fun, but I had just gotten a bunch of points for pretty much free by exploiting a target deal and gamestop, so I figured why not.

Target was giving away mircrosoft points cards for buying xbox "hardware," somehow this worked with clearance games. With enough research, those clearance games cost less at Target than gamestop would buy them for, so I guess GameStop bought two copies of horse armor along with every dlc bethesda ever put out. Thank god for slickdeals

I hate British spelling. Never. Ever. Will I accept the colour, armour, humour thing. GET OVER ITTT!!
You spelled "it" wrong in every language.
You spelled WAARGARBLE in the WARGARBLE language.

Eh, I'm not one to judge people for buying purely cosmetic items for a video game with real money, seeing as how I recently spent $30 on keys to open crates in TF2 hoping I'd get a hat or some decent paint colors.

Throw in Neon Lighting and maybe some spinning rims and I'll buy it Bethesda. Until then, no dice!
Add in hydraulics and I'm sold too. It'd be like Saint's Row fantasy-style!

I always stole my horses so there was no need for armor... I got horse armor with knights of the nine.

Well people will always act in ways that surprise me.

There is almost no DLC that is worth it. If any game has day 1 dlc then definitely wait a year and get the game of the year edition with all it and extra (fallout 3).

Paying $10 for more shiny graphics and no new gameplay sux. Expansion packs are the way to go, publishers need to stop nickle and diming gamers to death.

For a textbook example of what an expansion should be see Diablo 2 Lord of Destruction, and to a lesser extent Titan Quest Immortal Throne.

Expansion packs should have 3 features
1. extend the original story past the ending, not just fill in the middle, and no cheating retcons bethesda!
2. add new gameplay features, reskinned monsters and levels don't count
3. add a reason to play the game over again from the start

Modern DLC does at most 1 of these.

-shakes head-

DLC, the best way to put out 70% of a game for 59.99

And the other 30% in small packs of 10-20 bucks each.

Yeah...gaming is getting ... better...yeah...

Next, the box of the game for 49.99, the game disk for 59.99 and then the cdkey for 29.99!

And you must buy the box to get the disk, and have the disk to get the cdkey!

its a steal for the future!

Yeah, that's like all the DLC except fighter's castle and the first expansion pack, all for about five pounds and buyable used. Frankly you can't really complain can you?
No, I thought it was great. Waited well over a year to buy it, though. Kinda weird, I'd ignored it for the longest time and then I was looking at a copy one day while at EB and it just hit me how much stuff was in the box. It was actually a really good deal.

And look at it this way: Horse Armor costs two bucks. I can't buy a decent-sized bag of Doritos for two bucks. So really, what's the complaint?

I'll be honest...I kinda bought the darned horse armor when I first got Oblivion...had some free points leftover so I bought several DLC for Oblivion...I didn't even use the horse, I lost it after 20 mins :>
That's what I'm sure the case is with why it's still selling. The armor is damn convenient, but ultimately not worth paying extra money for. If you have a few loose points to spend after a larger purchase, then I don't see why a person wouldn't just "toss" them by spending them on the armor. I doubt there are better thing on the marketplace to spend $2 on.

I actually have to admit to buying the Horse Armour as well.

I didn't even use it, either, because it glitched Shadowmere.
