well it was the americans who changed it, armour is not pronounced arm or, so it should not be spelled as such
Devil's advocate: It's not pronounced "arm our" either. Should it be armer?
Probably lol, if I had my way everything would be spelt how you said it
It would sure make spelling bees boring.

Oh wait, they already are :)

"Spelt" isn't a word.
Actually, it's a perfectly legitimate alternate spelling to the word 'spelled'.

It's also a type of wheat grown in Europe (spelt bread is awesome)
No it's not.
I posted this earlier in the thread, here it is again :3

http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/spelt

(chiefly UK) Simple past tense and past participle of spell.

The Oxford English Dictionary (as in the foremost authority on the English language) would disagree with you.

See ?
That's exactly what i'm sayin all the time !

That's because PC gaming is better than console gaming. I didn't need to buy horse armor, because i don't use horses, i ride a fucking dragon in Oblivion.

God bless all modders and consoles can go to hell !

I personally don't understand why ANYONE would even feel remotely inclined to buy horse armour.
Actually, those who did probably just did so for shits and giggles.
