hahahaha...

oh wait... I bought horse armour as well...

You spelt armour wrong.
Armor and Armour are both correct spellings
That's a lie I tell you!!!
There can be only one!!!

Now that I got that out of the way: Yeah both are correct, but my English teacher would beat me within an inch of my life if I used the American spelling...

OT: I got the horse armor for free and the Knights of The Nine for free as well. Bethesda had the dlc on a disk which I borrowed from my friend and downloaded, so HA! the jokes on them.

Edit: Oh the Shivering Isles was on the same disk (GOTY edition), another win for me :)

That is all.

God, this is so stupid. Horse Armor? Jeez, the 3(5) map packs from MW2 was a far better deal. As well as the buy-able mounts from WoW. The weapons and armor from ME2. The VS mode from RE5. Oh, the Avatar clothes from the 360 is far better. Buying furniture from playstation Home was also a good deal.....

Well, if we are going to discuss the actual advantages of the HA, then let me point out all the times I would jump on my horse to fast travel at a better speed, only to find my horse auto-parked in the nearest stable mixed in with 7 other horses. The armor always allowed me to see which one was mine so I didn't accidentally steal the wrong horse.

The armor also DID add some HP, so the horse would last longer if it was attacked. I still had no qualms with using the console if he died in front of me though. I wasn't going to waste the time to buy a new horse if I could just cheat him back. He was the only reason I'd use fast travel, because a cross-continent jump would take 2 game hours instead of 8.

All that is still saying that even $2 is too high an asking price. I don't think it's fair to be asked to pay $50 for a game, and then asked for more money just to get some stupid extras, even if it's only $2. It was far better to add that feature into a full (or mostly full) expansion like the Knights of the Nine pack instead of nickel-and-diming your customers.

Its probably either the uniformed, or the hardcore fans. I bought horse armor. I also bought every other piece of DLC for Oblivion. I like the spelltomes though.

I bought it, because I wanted it, I really liked the way the non-elvish one looked (can't remember the name, it was the metal looking one.)

Actually a lot of DLC is really laughable from a development perspective. So many DLCs that revolve around just changing one material or adding one weapon that just alters another... ahh one day of programming textures and modeling to ear some cash over a long period.

IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE!
I got it with the GOTY edition. It's hilariously not-helpful.

But you know what they say... Sucker born every minute and all that...
yeah i got it with the GOTY edition as well and dont even use a horse but i still might buy it for the LOLZ

Just because someone ended up getting Horse Armor doesn't mean they wanted it. Anyone who buys the Oblivion GOTY package on Steam gets Horse Armor included, along with all the other DLC. I checked it out myself, and can safely report that Armored Horses are no match for the ridiculous mounts you can mod into the game.

Now, if people are still buying it on XBL individually... That is a cause for concern...

Haha. I didn't even know there were DLC's for Oblivion.

You mean you've never heard of Knights of the Nine? Or the greatest expansion pack ever, The Shivering Isles?
Oh, right. Those sound very very familiar. Forgot about those. Perhaps related them more to Morrowind or just thought of them as expansion packs.

Yeah, that's like all the DLC except fighter's castle and the first expansion pack, all for about five pounds and buyable used. Frankly you can't really complain can you?
No, I thought it was great. Waited well over a year to buy it, though. Kinda weird, I'd ignored it for the longest time and then I was looking at a copy one day while at EB and it just hit me how much stuff was in the box. It was actually a really good deal.

And look at it this way: Horse Armor costs two bucks. I can't buy a decent-sized bag of Doritos for two bucks. So really, what's the complaint?
I don't dislike the fact that Horse Armor exists, nor do I think that the asking price is too steep. I just really didn't care about it at all. Were the content free I would not bother downloading and installing it. It has no impact on the game save cosmetic and even here I might be able to find some value if I didn't think the barding in question looked both awful and useless. Two bucks is indeed a trivial amount to spend on game content and represents and amount that I would spend without a second thought on any number of items. I don't resent people for charging money for goods and services but when I wouldn't accept said goods or services for free if offered I really have to question why people would bother in the first place.
