Ahh, yes, painting the world in black and white. That's always a fantastic thing to inflict upon our children. "All drugs are bad, and there is NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE TO THIS WAY OF THINKING. Clearly, anyone providing any scientific research which indicates the contrary is lying to you."
You forgot to mention the inevitable hypocrisy of explaining to one's kids that one's highly addictive prescription drugs are "just medicine," and so are excused.

Hell, most adults don't even know that cocaine is used as a topical anesthetic in the O.R., or that THC slows the onset of Alzheimer's.

Here's a question for ya: If a woman takes a plasmid, will her child have it too?
I'd say that there's a chance that the child would, but there's no guarantee.

But Andrew Ryan Chose the Impossible to escape the constraints and build a basically all the fuck you want to do place without the restrains of morality (hence Adam all of those guys killing each other). This artist might have missed the point of Bioshock. Altho' it's a good message. ;)

I now have 0 respect for Andrew Ryan, and for sure will never be picking up Bioshock.
And with this one line I'm now unsure if the entire post was a pro-marijuana screed or the cleverest anti-marijuana post in existence.

Instead, Andrew Ryan asks: "Would you kindly say nope to dope?"
Shouldn't that be "Atlas asks..."?

Love these posters. Bioshock is probably one the most immersive experiences I've had this generation - great for transferal into the real world like this.

EDIT: Also this:

These are pretty awesome. Really like them, even though I disagree with their message. I mean when I notice a random syringe filled with a strange glowing-blue concoction, what's the first thing I do? Decide to inject it directly into my veins! Isn't that the normal thing? Eh, whatever, I'm just going to go about my merry way being able to shoot lightning out of my hands.

Seriously though, clever stuff. I have to agree with some people here that scaring kids shouldn't be the way to go with making sure they don't end up some crack-whore.

I suppose for some people Bioshock could be the ultimate warning of the horrors of DRUGS. "Keep your children away from underwater Utopias NOW "

Though being honest Bioshock made me turn to Drugs.....I'm writing this with Telekinesis.

Glad to see that I wasn't the only person who thought that when I read about this article.

As long as the kids don't know the full context, this may work. As long as I didn't know bees were actually a power, that horrible pustule filled bee hand would be enough to keep me off drugs.

I'm kind of annoyed at the people who make a point of saying that people telling kids not to use drugs is bad here. This thread is not about your opinion on anti-drug policies in schools. Its about some awesome posters that go along with what is a cultural notion set in stone in the US.

I think there nice little works of art myself. Who could ever resist a "would you kindly say nope to dope" poster anyways?

I don't know if you're joking or not but if you aren't you should realize that 2K (the people who created bioshock) didn't make this.

That's like saying there's nothing wrong with Soviet propaganda posters just because they went "along with what was a cultural notion set in stone" in the USSR.

Maybe we should bring back all those Jim Crow posters about scary black people, there are plenty of people in the US who find that a quaint cultural notion.
