Last I looked, BioWare, your head office was still just down the street from me...in CANADA....

what's the probability it was nothing and it was all a hoax and the masses of people who visited at the 0 caused the site to do a DDOS like in operation tit-storm etc?

That´s BioWare efficiency for you; They new a week in advance that their site is going to crash and they even let us know about it (in a very cryptic manner, however). Nice.

...Right, next joke will be better, I swear.

At first I thought this was the point, it was not them messing with fans?
Either way, funny.

I called this about an hour ago.

When I found out I was right, I entered a mix between bursting into laughter and A blank Expression on my face with my jaw on the floor.

Although it's up and running now.

I knew the countdown wouldn't be anything cool. I live in the US and I don't give a shit.

Why the crap is this a twitter thing!? Guess I'll have to find someone I know that has a twitter account, though I'm not sure I do.

It turned out to be an auction for stuff. I really couldn't care less. Even if I did care I live in New York so I'm excluded.

Hehe this is incredibly hilarious. My day has been brightened even more. Still I hope that the actual secret is awesome.

I was there. It was, indeed, hilarious. The announcement itself, however... booooooring! "Epic community event" my ass.

Yeah, no kidding. Let's storm the place! I can see it now, a legion of annoyed gamers congregating there, except the ones without cars, who congregate at the West Edmonton Mall and get on bus #33 to Millgate.

It shall be the 33 to Millgate OF DOOM!

Actually, our head office is in the U.S, what with being a division of EA and all.

They could have announced Jade Empire 2, but instead they give us some crappy auction? If you're going to put a countdown on three of your websites, at least end it with something impressive.

Nice job, guys. Not that I want to be overly harsh about this, but I can't help but think that somebody should have seen this one coming. If you're going to start a big, super-secret countdown and get all the Dragon Age and Mass Effect fans worked up into a lather, then you should be ready when a bazillion of them are staring at your website waiting for zero hour. Otherwise, you end up looking just a little bit silly.
Sarcasm is more than a little hypocritical here, given the wonderful, hitchless performance of this site whenever a new Zero Punctuation is released...
Or when March Mayhem starts...

OT: Ok, why not your home country Canada Bioware? Or New York and Florida?

I know Florida is filled with annoying old people, and New York is a pain in the ass, but is that any reason to exclude them?

And what about your fellow Canadians?
