I agree, BioWare and Dragon Age are doomed, the second one was awful.

Nice, I'll be looking forward to it. Get rid of the enemies in waves and add more environments and Dragon Age 2 is a spectacular game. I still like it as much as Origins now.

In other news, it is currently 2:37 am in Australia and I am tired.

I mean, everyone knew this was going to happen. Bioware needs to focus on just one game at a time for a while, I think. Finish ME3, then start DA3 and take some time with it. The longer you take, the more likely people will buy it (Extending to about 3 years, though - we don't need a Duke Nukem Forever situation again)
Different divisions of the same (large) company.

The people developing ME3 are not the people who made DA2, and the people behind TOR aren't a part of the ME3 or DA3 team either.

I'm looking for exceptional environment artists to join me ...
LOL! maybe should have thought of that for DA2.

DA2 was mostly shit. let's hope DA3 isn't.

i pray that they will not release it on 2012, or really late, cause how good DAII was on its onw, it had some serious flaws, those were all obvious 'rushed' flaws.

Yeah, I was researching why Bioware are being dummys and doing these thing to only find out EA is forcing them to do day 1 dlcs and rushing them. If Bioware wants to do good they need to get rid of EA.

More environment artists is a good thing, but what they really need is a longer time frame to make the game amazing. DAII would have been much better with a few more years of work.

Anyone who says they prefer DA2 over DAO doesn't know what a good game is. You might not like DAO, which is fine, but DA2 wasn't even a good action RPG. I mean, just look at The Witcher (first or second).
Wow, way to insult people's intelligence. It's fine that you have some legit gripes against the game and thus don't like it, but did you have to go that far?

The Escapist gives me a headache sometimes...

I tried my hardest to love DA2, but with so much reused time and time again and how half of the characters in DA:O shows up for the most contrived reasons... It's like the ambition that I love so much in BioWare games just vanished. I feel that there are major similarities between DA:O/DA2 and KotOR 1/2. Sure, the travesty of KotOR 2 wasn't BioWare's fault but they did the same mistake. Mass Effect 2, now that's a worthy BioWare sequel. Don't stop halfway to cash in on all the fans, give it everything you got! Especially when making such drastic changes to the game.

I wonder what he thinks about people who really liked both games...

DA2 was the rushed mess it was. DA3 won't be. Mass Effect 3 was delayed for a reason...their team saw the DA2 team dip their game into a big pile of warm diarrhea so they thought..."Naaaaah let's make a decent game instead of just trying to milk people for easy bucks. Ok everyone let's "delay" the game." AND the team from DA2 thought "Mmmh better not do that again....let's get a DA3 out but let's make it a proper game this time...and write an apology card Johnson...use one of those with some cute bears or something...that oughta do the job.", so I have a gut feeling DA3 is gonna be alright. If not? Who cares, I'm not one of the developers staining my career with crap.

Me too.

God, No more Kirkwall I wanna go somewhere with more color and less anger.

...

That and I want to play as a warden again. Not the warden but any warden would do. Except for Anders.

I want to know too.

I loved both and they are both on my shelf, each case looking wonderful.

Not a fan of DA2, huh?

OT:I have NO problems with until and UNLESS they reveal any plans to release it ANY sooner than Holiday 2013. Read that Carefully Bioware: Holiday 2013; NOT 2012.
Loved it, actually. I was being sarcastic. I'm not at all surprised that they're going to continue the franchise, building on the new foundation that DA2 created.
Oops, well Sarcasm does not translate well into text. I too think that if they ironed out some kinks in the combat, (like the "waves" and "random encounter" idiocies) DA3 could be phenomenal.

Out of curiosity, do you like the new (ME style) conversation system more than the old-school "list" conversation system?

Let's hope they make it feel more like an "action" RPG, than a flashly non-jrpg wrpg.

Yay. I liked both games, but two did a pretty bad job of answering the questions I had about Origins. Mainly, Morrigan's child. So that should be a major factor in the third game. I'm also looking forward to how they explain Leliana coming back to life for those that killed her. I can see how it is possible--she did die in perhaps the most holy place in Thedas, and who's to say she didn't crawl to the Urn and save herself after you left? Or something happened to her like it happened to Wynn? As for Lothering, well, you never see a body.
