Did we really need to have a "tweet" confirm it for us. I mean with the ending of DA2 its rather obvious they are planning at the very least one more.

I'm hoping this won't be a direct sequel, but I'm guessing it will be in at least some respect given the sequel-bait ending. The one that made no sense for a lot of people.

If my Warden sacrificed himself, and then a completely unrelated person disappears from public life 10 years later, how is that in any way "not a coincidence"?! At least I wasn't one of the ones who killed Leilana and then had her turn up I suppose.
That was my exact thought when that happened, followed by "What the fuck did I just playthrough?"

Considering all the efforts you take to stop certain things from happening someone ends up doing something your character has been convincing people they weren't doing. God I was annoyed.

OT: I don't want a DA3 if it is going to be like DA2. Gameplay was fine, but the story was in my opinion, terrible in places.

They really need to spend more than a year on this one if it's going to be any good.

They shit the bed with DA2, on a scale I rarely see. I was actually impressed by how godawful DA2 was.

I'm definitely waiting for reviews before I get DA3. I really want it to be good, but I've been burned once before.

Maybe DA3 will have 4 different dungeons instead of 3.

Seriously BioWare, make it more like DA:O.

I want to know too.

I loved both and they are both on my shelf, each case looking wonderful.
Liking both is just fine. The problem arises when people claim DA2 is superior to the original, when that is provably false.

Short summary of said proof: DA:O has less plot holes; player choice has actual meaning; more than 4 dungeons; and the design of enemy encounters, if not necessarily the combat itself, is significantly better.

Considering how I liked the first two, I am curious to see how the things tie in from both games. Those who listened at the very end of DA2 will know what I mean.

They're doing that since the first Baldur's gate so really don't see the issue here. Remember the halfling thief and necromancer from the beggining of baldur's gate that you can kill? Well In Baldur's gate 2 he appears anyway with a funny dialogue line "Didn't I killed you?".

As for them not making games well I couldn't dissagree more since I only have Bioware/Bethesda that does games I actually enjoy playing while those like you have dozens of companies( since DA is bad comapred to something else I assume)that does games you like. So you wouldn't mind if someone does games for people like me I hope.

Also really who the hell would kill Leliana? I'm throwing out less than 1% on a serious walkthrough game, and I can only imagine choosing some extreme paths just for the curiosity of endings or stuff like that. Things that I always disliked, never understood the 100% people if not OCDing.

I want to explore the disappearances of the Warden and Hawke. Seriously, they can't bring that up and drop it. Plus Thedas is in chaos now with the Mage/Templar uprising/slaughter.

I enjoyed Dragon Age 2 just as much as Origins(if not more), and I'm looking forward to the third. DA2 is probably be the best Bioware has ever done to make me care about my party members. I pray they continue on that formula in ME3 and DA3.

Amazing. You have a high fantasy RPG that has a cult following among your core fans. They read the books, they have the game music on their mp3 players, they start threads about the morality of saving a minor NPC. It sells 4 million copies.

You then take that game, gut out a ton of RPG elements, make it all emo for a teen audience, go all action cartoon, knowing full well that you'll lose 50% of your fans. However you are sure the new formula will bring in "10 million" new fans.

Reality kicks in. You do indeed lose 50% of your new fans, but, quel horreur ... you don't get the 10 million new ones. In fact, sales are <50% of the first game. What do you do? Why, go for Dragon Age 3, of course! and rule out any "180 degree design changes" over DA2 (Lead designer Gameinformer interview), just fix the copy pasta levels with tweet for a new 3D designer and we're good!

Can't Bioware understand that people don't want DA3. DA2 was bad, no one wants another bad wanna-be-rpg.

Give us a REAL RPG like Baldurs Gate 3 or Plansecape Torment 2.

Champion...Grey Warden...I don't care who Bioware makes me play as so long as I don't have to chose between male or female human exclusively. I loved playing a Dwarven character in Origins. It's a small thing but still aesthetic thing but still. I liked being discriminated against by Elves and the Human Nobility.

Uh yeah, this is good news... I guess? I'd love to see an other DA game, just one that is a bit (ok, a lot) more polished than its predecessor. However, this tweet seems very, very preliminary so I don't think it's anything to get worked up about yet. Until I see some official press release or something from Bioware, I won't start worrying about the quality of DA3.

Fingers crossed that they'll have a bit more development time this time around. I mean, I enjoyed Dragon Age 2, but so many gameplay and design choices just screamed 'rushed product'.

YES!!!
I'm glad those whiny fools that couldn't look beyond Dragon Age 2s to find a good plot with great characters didn't steal Dragon Age 3 from the market.

Good! I enjoyed Dragon Age 2. Was it the best Bioware has to offer? HELL NO. Is it still better than 90% of the crap they come out with today? Yes. And I'm sure Bioware will crowbar in a few of the RPG elements that fans apparently miss so much for fear of another fanperson backlash.

God, I hope Varrick is in it...

Yeh I cant say I even care anymore, Bioware is pushing out rushed console titles now and simply porting to PC . I certainly wont be buying anything from this company again untill long after release, patch, and review.
