You've got to be kidding me. The combat for me was:Keava said:Meh. As a BG, Planescape and other old time cRPGS i actually found Normal and Hard too easy, and Nightmare only challenging because mob stats scaled better with player character powers. I ended up downloading a mod to boost up the difficulty eventually on my second playthrough.Abedeus said:Oh God, please, make combat right this time, so Normal isn't impossibly hard against medium to big groups of enemies, Easy isn't a cake-walk and Hard isn't Impossible.
The combat was perfectly fine and i hope they keep it up that way, if not rise the bar a little further on the hardest setting.
That's suck... really... It,s a uge let downFlamezdudes said:It's been confirmed by BioWare that you're only human, you can't choose your race. You can choose your gender and class though.Walkchalk said:Im assuming that they arent letting us choose the name so that other characters can refer to us as something other than "Warden" which we may not even be a part of in this game. My guess is that you can still customize his appearance, class, race, and what not.Talvrae said:We play a character named Hawke?? duh... WTF?? I can,t create my character anymore? No more Origins story?
For me it was more along the linesAbedeus said:You've got to be kidding me. The combat for me was:
1. Melee characters rush.
2. Casters start spamming AoE skills.
3. Melee start chugging potions like crazy, because archers are killing them.
4. Casters chug a potion or two, because they can't cast spells.
5. I die, load game, because AI despite Tactics is dumb and warriors attacking warriors when there are mages casting fireballs at my mages is... ugh.
Combat was horrible for both my melee characters I created, Rogue and Warrior.
they both not developed by the same studio of Bioware... Mass Effect 3 is already in developmentBigsmith said:What about your other universe Bioware you know the one you called Mass effect! Give me mah Me3 please i don't realy care about Dragon age atm.

Maybe you should stick to first person shooters. Nothing in DA was particularly hard, even on hard mode, if you knew what you were doing.Abedeus said:You've got to be kidding me. And that's why we love BioWare games!Andy Chalk said:In Dragon Age 2, players will take on the role of a survivor of the Blight, a refugee cast adrift on a world in upheaval. The game will feature new combat mechanics, updated graphics and a "new visual style," and will span an entire decade as the player gathers "the deadliest of allies" and rises to become the champion of the land.
In other words, it'll follow the standard BioWare [http://www.bioware.com] formula pretty much to the letter, which means you can also expect a romance option with a troubled, reluctant sexpot, an oversized goon with a propensity for violence and a cheerful sidekick whose light-hearted wisecracking masks a deep, dark secret.
