Bond got his Vesper "phase". Now, I hope that they'll work on maturing him.
Yay! I love my Double-0-Craig.

Hey, DAD had some good moments. Remeber Bond busting his way off the boat? That was suave as hell.Matt_LRR said:Seriously? QoS and CR were written by the same guys that did (the absolutley abominable) Die Another Day? Did they somehow grow talent in the intervening years?

YES, A THOUSAND TIMESHaseo21 said:Y'know who would make a great James Bond?
Clive Owen
Ok, that's taking it too far. How dare you compare my favourite film character (out of my favourite film seies) to...HIM!DustyDrB said:Ugh...this guy is awful. He has no charisma. He's the same kind of actor as Keanu Reeves.
And my reply is; what is right with it? It's like they took Batman and said, "You know what this needs? To be like shitty, psuedo-anime. That'll get the kids to watch!" The dialogue is awful, the voice acting is worse. The only saving grace is, in a scant few (I haven never watched a whole season), I have seen some interesting ideas. Like the parallel dimension where all heroes were villains and vice versa. Owl Man was retarded but the inclusion of the Red Hood was pretty cool.Blitzwing said:manythings said:Maybe they have talent but they were the wrong kind of writers? Some things that are shit factories have good staff doing the wrong jobs (Batman: The Brave and the Bold springs to mind).
Off topic but what exactly is wrong with Brave and the Bold?
Well you can't exactly say Bond has been consistant over the years. There is the whole idea that there is no "James Bond" it's just the codename that is taken up by the next guy after the previous 007 retires or dies.JourneyThroughHell said:I didn't like Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace, so I'm not particularly happy they're making another one.
I'd really rather they just renamed the main character to "Not James Bond". Then I would watch the movies with lesser reasons to nipick.
Im 21, so by the stars that makes him my Bond AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS, HE ROCKS, screw you 25 year olds and your Timathy Dalton and your Roger Moore... I cant say that they rocked to, still gotta luv me some Pierce, God dammit Mumma Mia why, WHY!?!Zekksta said:HAHThat Guy Who Phails said:*Slaps*Matt_LRR said:Seriously? NO!
Anything with Pierce Brosman In it is instantly awesome, how dare you disagree with this blasphemy!
YES!
Pierce BrosNAN rocks something chronic.
Nah... I can't say I see it. Not that I don't think Clive Owen is awesome, but he's not really suave. I mean, it's not like he's got chiselled features and I can't see a tux suiting him at all.Haseo21 said:Y'know who would make a great James Bond?

So you're going to tell me that an intelligence agency can't fabricate a history? The kind of thing a secret agent needs. A false history that obfuscates the true facts about the agent making it harder to attack him personally.FungiGamer said:"You Only Live Twice reveals Bond is the son of a Scottish father, Andrew Bond, of Glencoe, and a Swiss mother, Monique Delacroix, of the Canton de Vaud."
You get nothing, you lose, good day sir, although to give you credit it is the only way I think they could potentially explain all this after that pointless and chronological screw up that was mentioning September 11th in Casino Royale...
I must say however as a long time Bond fan that I'm happy a lot of people can see through the new films for the abominations they are; I literally cried throughout the entire film by how god awful it was and how it destroyed what little was left of the franchise remaining from Casino Royale, even if it was the best of all the Casino Royale adaptations so far
While totally offtopic, I would like to say "The Matador" was an AWESOME film. I've watched it several times.Matt_LRR said:Anything with Brosnan named "Goldeneye" "The Matador" or "Remmington Steele", you mean. (and that's the last I'll say on the subject so as not to totally derail the comment thread.)
