Quite pleased that this hasn't caused a backlash against comic books and all, the news story didn't seem to blame them and just put it down to an unfortunate mix up.

When will people ever learn that if something isn't for children and even tells you so on the cover or box, it really means it's not for them?

All this media-driven insanity is starting to grow tiring.
It didn't say on the packaging, it said that it was suitable for all the family.

This is one of these cases where I blame everybody.

(Not to be taken really seriously)
I blame the kid for taking the cowards way out and call his mom.
I blame the mom for taking the odd way out and call the news instead of taking it to the store owner.
I blame the store owner for slipping up.
And finally I blame everyone who thought the comic was 'family friendly'. I mean just look at it. It looks and sounds like a mature comic. How come no one was suspicious of this?

First, 'here' seems to be a broken link.

Anyway, it just seems stupid that anyone should worry about it in the first place - it's a couple of dots on a piece of paper. Get over it.
I can't wait to hear how bullied that kid gets in high school.

"I opened it and I saw naked people and I got mad. And then I gave it to an adult" The kid is 10 and talking like a 4 year old XD Seriously, it is nudity, get over it kid.

AND nobody gives a shit.

Or at least I wish nobody gave a shit. Since when was this news? The agency should have told the mother to file a complaint with the comic book store and stop wasting their time.

That kid must have never seen something like that before. I wouldn't be mad, like he was. I would be happy.

What the hell? Is this really news?
Also, yes... censor the boobies, but show the blood splatter and violence...

Blood and violence, or boobies -I know which I prefer.

No, the packaging did not. The store did, and even so the cover says enough about the contents as is.

One might say this is a sign of the next step to a totalitarian society, when even kids snitch about bad things, and then their parents take it to the news to spread the word about the EEEEBBBBULLLL.

I am kinda on par with those who said what was up with that kid. I would have seriously kept it under my pillow.
Of course now I want to find that issue for myself.

You have to understand Ogden Utah is right next to Salt Lake City which is the heart of Mormon country. To them that shit is offensive.
It's not so much that it's offensive as it is a contradiction of the "family friendly" labeling.

Utah as a state has loosened up a lot in recent years, so let's try to keep this thread from becoming "Utah = Mormons" please. They have shops that sell bongs, a burgeoning heavy metal community, and gay bars in SLC and the surrounding communities. There's even a store down in Springville that sells all manner of pornographic wares, and Utah County is really where you'll typically find the suburbian "uppity Mormon."

/hippie speech

It's funny that they didn't think to avoid using the comic in front of the green screen though.

I'll buy the comics from her :p LoL Who really goes to the news for boobs in a comic book? She was just looking for an excuse, if you ask me. As for the kid, I would of kept the boobs to myself.

God forbid he see a nipple. Like he'll never see those in his life. I'm not sure why parents freak out about nudity because, let's be honest, there's no way that you can deny that there are boobs in the world.

We all went through the phase where we would intentionally try to find boobs/penises online (for the current generation) or in magazines (for our parents generation). It's not like it's a new thing to be freaking out about!
