Busting Ghosts Now A Sony-Only Activity

I think Sony is stupid for doing a move like this as they just decreased their sales by 2/3rds in the PAL regions.

Ghostbusters is going to be a good game because of what I have seen and what was told to us. Ghostbusters is probably the most recognizable franchise in the world and IO bet anyone here would love to strap on a proton pack and go to town.

Why does Sony make stupid moves like this? The only smart move so far is keeping the PS2 in production which is making more money than the PS3. Otherwise, they keep making decisions that make them lose even more money.

I used to like Sony because they used to be an honest developer. Now that this crap is being pulled this generation...they gone down hill and desperate.

Oh and about the GTA4 DLC. It was known since the beginning that Microsoft payed a little extra to have extra DLC for the 360. So I am going to use the same argument PS3 fanboys use "Well if you want to play it, then buy a 360, another copy of GTA4, and then buy the DLC."

Sony has plenty of their own exclusives. And I don't remember Microsoft ever suddenly saying "Oh you know that game that was gonna be released for both consoles? 360 only now sucker. Oh and only in a particular region"

So you'll excuse me if I'm a bit pissed off.
Oh sure, go ahead and list all the PS3 exclusives and all the 360 exclusives and then count them. Then count them again please.

You -hopefully- will notice the list is much longer for the 360.

OH SNAP the PS3 is getting another exlusive. Heck it's not even fully exclusive. Just get on Ebay and get an american version.
I'm not debating exclusives. I'm debating the gigantic dick move that Sony have pulled. But you know what? I'm gonna be pissed off all I like. Nobody likes having a game they want pulled out from under them. If this was reversed and Microsoft was in Sony's position, PS3 owners would be pissed off and they have a right to be. Same with 360 exclusive DLC. Neither party are saints so let's just drop the arguing.
And Microsoft Doing it... it isn't a dick move?

Shut the hell up eh?

The dick move comes more from the fact the game is due out in a month, then gets made an a exclusive.

Actually I meant that if anyone did it, it would be a dick move. I think we can all agree this was a dick move by Sony, but Microsoft have pulled them in the past so meh.

Sony are publishing it. They did not buy exclusivity, and if Microsoft wated it all they'd have to do is offer to do Atari the same favour.

This is not a dick move, just like Microsoft publishing Ninja Gaiden 2 was not a dick move. Sony did not cancel the 360 version, Atari made the decision not to publish it and so rather than let it get canned, Sony swooped.

I thought this was the bright forum, where people didn't freak out yelling fanboy over the tiniest thing?

Edit: Hang on, I did that wrong. I forgot this is 2007 again. I mean oh no wat cocks!!

I suspected something of this kind, though are you sure?

If you're right, I will politely ask to laugh my ass off.

Sorry to you all overseas. This feels like a dick move Atari has pulled. I do have to say that you may have to get an import copy through whatever means you have if you want to play it on 360.

I will not play it because I hate FPS games.

Pfft, this is the only site I've seen react like this.

If Sony'd bought exclusivity they'd be shouting it from the rooftops, not just publishing it but pushing how it's a system seller/must have for fans/gift from Jesus etc, and I'm not even convinced they bought timed exclusivity... Atari will probably just save costs by letting Sony handle all the marketing, and then releasing the 360 version later.

It's pretty funny how big a deal's being made of this, really. Oh Escapist, you funny thing you...

I find it amusingly interesting that the game suddenly appears to be "horrible" and "stupid" since it became a timed exclusive.
Nobody's saying it's horrible, that's the point. Everyone wanted to play this, and now many can't. I'm not saying it's alright for people to ***** about Sony doing it, while saying it's "just business" when MS does it (or vice versa), but still, you can understand their frustration. Personally I never cared about this game one way or the other.

How so? I haven't seen any PS3 games I would want to play at all.
Except maybe Heavy Rain.
That's that one photo-realistic looking game that's like a cinematic experience, isn't it? I remember reading a preview on it, it looks like quite the undertaking.
I believe so, yes.
It's a sort of spiritual successor to Fahrenheit.
I'll believe that when I see it. Fahrenheit was such a great game.

I don't see a dick move here. All I see is business. Like people have said, the moment Sony does it...it's a problem yet for Microsoft it's all right and dandy? I live in the UK and a PS3 owner. I've never had a 360 so yea I'm kind of a fanboy but here's something...I find 360 owners go crazy when something not Microsoft happens and everything goes insane. God I might as call the two companies religions >..< ((I did want a 360 and a PS3 but the whole red lights and rings of death really put me off the console))

Hey if thats the only publisher you can get for your title..well..then.....it sucks..... and it adds more relevancy to the need for mod chips and universal hardware.

sony owns the publishing rights in Europe and Australia wouldn't they still make money off the sales of the game for the other systems since they are publishing the game?

Weapons. Grade. Bullshit.

All I could see there was a wall'o shite. Companies like microsoft are no better when it comes to this kind of thing, but why does that mean that everyone but PS3 owners have to suff-

What? Red Fly Studios is developing the Wii, PS2, and PSP versions?

Do I need to say that this is a perfect visual analogy on how Europeans always get litterally buttfucked by the videogame industry?
Replace "Europeans" with "360 owners". I'm quite comfortable with this.
Nah, I think he got it right the first time. Europeans get bummed on a regular basis by the game industry. Perhaps not as bad as Australians, but close enough.
