I'm not debating exclusives. I'm debating the gigantic dick move that Sony have pulled. But you know what? I'm gonna be pissed off all I like. Nobody likes having a game they want pulled out from under them. If this was reversed and Microsoft was in Sony's position, PS3 owners would be pissed off and they have a right to be. Same with 360 exclusive DLC. Neither party are saints so let's just drop the arguing.
First, see my edit. MS did the same thing with Velvet Assassin.
A) Velvet Assassin isn't exactly an great game now, is it?
B) Velvet Assassin wasn't ported to all the platforms in America, AND THEN not in Europe, was it? So, Sony are actually shafting us lot in Europe.
A) We don't even know if this Ghostbusters game will be any good at all.
B) Sony may be shafting alot of people in Europe, but they're also opening up some opportunities for themselves also. It's called business and it annoys me that now I see people wanting to bludgeon Sony for a business move (abliet a dick one) yet mouth of to Sony that "it's business!" when they complain to Microsoft.
Now, I don't live in the UK and I couldn't give two damns about this game. I'm not interested in it and I don't understand why people want it so badly in the first place.
I understand how some people would be annoyed, maybe furious at Sony, for doing this. Hopefully they'll get over it. It's a dick business move, I agree, but business is business.
However, what annoys me the most is that previously in the article where Sony were mouthing off to Microsoft about how they buy off exclusive DLC, everyone bitched to them "It's business Sony! Why don't you get some balls and do some good business yourself!"
Yet right now, people absolutely hate Sony for doing
business, understandably so, I suppose, but now people are bitching that "Sony have just become cunts" and "I think it's time to raid the Sony building!" and crap like that. Pure hypocrisy.
I understand, some people are furious, fine, whatever, but it's absolutely hypocritical to say that what Microsoft does is "business" yet when Sony does it they're "dicks". Yes, Sony are being hypocrites with this from the recent article, but let Sony be the hypocrites not you guys.
