I was simply asking if those numbers included digital sales, because sometimes they don't. There's no need to get snarky about it. Is it safe to assume you are one of those people who QQ'd about DA2? I got the pc version, it wasn't their best but it was ok. Plus they're giving away a good game to anyone who purchased or purchases it. I for one gave my copy to a friend who hasn't had the opportunity to play it yet.
that 600k sales figure is NOT including digital sales or PC sales figures, thats for console version ONLY. and its not 600k its close to 1 million.

OT: i'm excited for this, I won ME2 for the 360 so its nice to sit down and play the PC version and not have to pay anything.
Thank you for answering the question without being a troll, apparently some people can't be reasonable when asked questions regarding their claims.

The pc version was better in my opinion, I hated the constant drop in FPS in the Xbox one. But my rig is pretty beast and puts the FPS well over 400, not sure what your rig is like.

Only one question:

does this work if I get it on Steam?
Yes, I did it myself
But you don't get a steam version of ME2, you get it through the EA downloader. Which sucks hard.
Didn't matter to me too much, I gave it to a friend. I know it's cruel to subject them to it, but hey, it's free :p

I would rather they did this for the first of both games (DA:O and ME1). It'd give me an excuse to buy them. As it is now, I have no interest in either of these games due to lack of being in the first games and hearing mixed responses on DA2. plus my demo of both DA games has left me rather suspicious as to whether I'll like the whole thing or not.

The EA download manager sounds painful. I don't have Mass Effect 2, but I don't wanna/know how to jump through the hoops. Plus does it apply to people who buy it in April, or does March count too?

I pre purchased it on steam and I still got it, so you're in the clear.

Yes I'm sure this is a fantastic deal for the 4 people who didn't already own mass effect 2.
Hey, that's me! Where are my three muskateers, the three blind mice to my ... fourth blind mouse ...

OT: All that means is I need to pick up the game sooner than expected (does that apply to all countries? Because I'd hate for Australia to get the oozing, toxic, spikey end of the stick in this one.

I really don't get it.People ***** about these game companies basically wanting to make money for the product they made but when they give you something for free for buying their product they ***** about it.Seriously what the hell

I think this is a great marketing idea by Bioware.Get people into DA but never played Mass Effect to try the series and might get into it and it's preparing for the release of Mass Effect 3.Bioware is a company and to keep making games they have to make money so if you really hate paying money to buy their product then stop playing games sheesh

Well so now I will own two copies of ME2. This offer is really sweet, but I am pretty sure more people bought ME2 than will buy DA2.

Well people will actually get a good enjoyable game when they buy Dragon Age 2 now. Sad that the game is Mass Effect 2 but hey, it's something I guess. Maybe if they keep giving people free stuff they won't notice would a festering pile of shit Dragon Age 2 actually is. In my opinion instead of a free game they would be better suited giving the people that wasted money on that piece of garbage a hand written apology instead.

Notice though that they aren't giving away the original. If they did that people might realize how much the sequel sucks out loud when compared to it. Although DA2 does play more like Mass Effect than Dragon Age so maybe giving away a Mass Effect title does make more sense.

Maybe if they make a quality game and not a quickly slapped together shameless cash grab designed to appeal to the absolute lowest common denominator next time they won't have to give away free games in an attempt to counter all the negative word of mouth and coax people into buying a terribly below average game.

Hunh.

I guess I count as one of the four folks on this board who didn't already have Mass Effect 2.

Sadly I am planning to buy Mass Effect 2 at some point in my future. Though I really don't want a copy of Dragon Age 2, since I was unimpressed with the demo.

Nice try Bioware.

Okay, it wants me to enter my product code, btu I can't find it. Did some light binging and all I can find are sites to buy new codes.

If you're using a steam copy, there's an option on the page for your library to show the code

Edit: misread your post

I'd like to insert a stupid joke about how Bioware is trying to get you to buy their crappy new game by tying in a much better one, but I feel like a cynical jerk just thinking about it.

Then again I remember making jokes about the orange box being an apology for how long we had to wait for episode 2.

"Cerberus Network is included and will be entitled to the account used to redeem your Dragon Age II Online Pass. This includes Zaeed - The Price of Revenge, Cerberus Weapon and Armor, Normandy Crash Site, Cerberus Arc Projector, and Firewalker Pack. Visit the offer page to download the necessary files." Unless I read it wrong it says the Cerberus network stuff is included, but it is unlocked on whatever account redeemed the online pass for DA2

Heh, nice try Bioware. I know you are trying hard to get me to buy DA:2 your rushed game. I am still holding out for the game of the year edition on a steam sale in a year.

Even a rushed Bioware game is worth playing but I am not going to encourage them to make more like it. I hope they spend a bit more time on the next one.

So, I don't get the free game because I don't have whatever this "The Black Emporium" is?

EDIT: How do I even know if I have it? I just bought it to spoil myself for my birthday but I haven't even started the game.

Fairly sure that every copy will have it as part of project 10 dollar, they don't want people buying used copies to get the free ME2 copy.
