Buy Dragon Age 2, Get Mass Effect 2 Free - UPDATED

Whatever. Entitled people can complain and moan all they want. I've previously played ME2 but am excited to play it now on PC with zero cost except I had to buy a game I'd already bought and loved.

Wow they must be really desperate to sell copies of Dragon Age 2 desperate times come for desperate measures.. Its only the THIRD WEEK and they doing marketing stunts like this.

Or maybe they're trying to rekindle interest for Mass Effect 2 as prep for Mass Effect 3? Dragon Age 2 is selling quite well all on its own, they really don't need to bribe folks to pick it up.

I hate to burst your bubble dude, (EDIT oops.. dudette, sry Susan) but 600,000 off the shelf sales for a triple A title in 3 weeks, with the amount of exposure it's had, is ABOMINABLE..

OH, and have you seen the latest sale figures for it?

Not only is bribery needed at this point, but it's pretty much a neccessity.

Do those sales figures include digital sales such as steam? Because if they don't, then they sold a lot more copies than you think.

I was simply asking if those numbers included digital sales, because sometimes they don't. There's no need to get snarky about it. Is it safe to assume you are one of those people who QQ'd about DA2? I got the pc version, it wasn't their best but it was ok. Plus they're giving away a good game to anyone who purchased or purchases it. I for one gave my copy to a friend who hasn't had the opportunity to play it yet.

I already have Mass Effect 2, so getting a free copy if I buy another game I'm really not all that interested in isn't really all that good of a deal. Combine that with EA download manager instead of Steam or just about any other service on the planet, and nope, this is not making me more likely to buy Dragon Age 2 at all.

EDIT: On the subject of Zaeed VS Kasumi... I prefer to leave both of their mediocre asses on the Normandy while I take some squadmates with more useful talents with me (who goes depends on if I'm going to be fighting more robots or organic enemies).

While Zaeed to me just feels like a worse Garrus or a less useful Legion... I don't see why you would ever want Zaeed on your party over either of them.

Zaeed has character. He has personality. He has style.

See, you can beat Mass Effect 2 without any of your team members at your side. When you get right down to it, none of them are really, absolutely necessary to get the job done. So sometimes I found it amusing to walk into places, sometimes nice places, with Zaeed and Grunt. Nothing says "hello" like the galaxy's most dangerous mercenary and a genetically-perfect Krogan.

Garrus is my Number One Guy, but when I want to send out a message that I'm not screwing around, I bring Zaeed.

I do NOT want a bulky background process installed just to make sure I'm legit... That's why I waited for Steam's holiday sale and bought it off of that.

I think I'll wait and pick up Dragon Age 2 Ultimate Edition which comes with the $60 worth of DA2 DLC off Steam for $20 this time next year. I'll probably grab Mass Effect 2 for $2.50 while I'm at it.

The point is that Steam Sales = <3

This would be an awesome deal but the EA Download Manager is epic fail. For some people it opens and doesn't let them download and for others it doesn't even open. So far I haven't seen any word on the forums on a fix.

Same here dude.
Sure this is a great deal and all but the EA Download Manager is completely worthless. Hell the DL Manager won't even load my copies of Command and Conquer even though I have receipts and the like for them.
Looks like EA stole my money there. Lesson learned: Always use Steam.

Well, this just means I'll get ME2 trophies for my PS3

But you don't get a steam version of ME2, you get it through the EA downloader. Which sucks hard.
